I Went Bourbon Hunting On the Worst Day of the Week | Nashville, TN
In this video, I go on a bourbon hunting adventure in Nashville, TN, guided by the knowledgeable JRock. This is my second visit to Nashville, and we're diving deep into the local bourbon scene. However, we're hunting on a Sunday, which isn't the best timing. Many store owners take the day off, meaning fewer opportunities to uncover rare and interesting bourbons. Join us as we navigate through various shops and discover what Nashville has to offer, even on a challenging day!

The SC brand you’re thinking of is Firefly. They make that “live” bourbon using sazerac juice since sazerac owns the company
Another great video, Sir. I'm glad you had an opportunity to visit Southern Collective. It's a great concept run by great people.
You're the only bourbon KZreadr I watch and you've helped me immensely on my bourbon journey, I especially enjoy how open you are to trying new products/local lesser known products, it's refreshing not to just hear about pappy's, eagle rare and EH Taylor
Southern Star is about 30 min from my house. Absolutely everything they have put out so far has been fantastic.

l love your videos, I’ve learned a lot about bourbon with your videos. God bless you and your family. North Georgia is where I’m watching from
I literally don’t drink at all, never had bourbon in my life besides in a bbq sauce, but your content is just a breath of fresh air. You and your wife seem so chill and kind and highlighting good people doing good work in any industry is an amazing thing to do these days. I hope to meet you one day and maybe try my first bourbon. Thank you for helping me out in a very tough time in my life brother.
Glad to see Southern Star Distilling getting some love. They have an excellent Rye, Hunting Creek Rye. If you see it grab one!
That rickhouse proof holladay from the first store would have been coming home with me. 😅
Cool Springs is a great store! Just picked up their JD SB BP store pick and the New Riff SB store pick there last week. Both bottles are incredible. Grabbed a Holladay Rickhouse Proof Missouri Straight there too. Fantastic selection there.
That Nelson's Reserve is delicious Bourbon! Haven't seen their finished products in Northern IL, but we get regular and reserve.
We were in Cool Springs Wine and Spirts the first of June. Awesome store! We picked up a case of the Belle Meade and a bottle of the Peerless Double Oaked. #bottlekill

Swung into daily spirits on way out of Nashville this week and grabbed that Papas Pilar and it’s quite good.
@18:37 That's our honey finished barrel pick back there! I think we dropped that two weeks ago with our partner store in Lebanon, TN. 😎
Southern Star…my hometown boys!!!
Thanks for getting me into bourbon TJ
Next time you are in Nashville, hit up Brinkman's Wine & Spirits and Elixir. by far the two heaviest hitters in Middle Tennessee.
The dog saying Scotch is better had me laughing out loud #bottlekill
Belle Meade discontinued the cask strength reserve bottles. All the black reserve labels are now 108.3 proof. They used to be cask strength single barrels. I still have one that is 113.6

#bottlekill. Ive recently found your channel and i love it. Im 46 and ive just been drawn to bourbon my whe life but never taken the time to figure out why its what i like. Ive learned quite a bit and im taking a deeper dive into the process of making great whiskey. I live in Neptune Beach Fl about 30 minutes north of St Augustine so im getting ready to take the distillery tour down ther very soon. Keep up the good work and thank you for helping me understand what im drinking. Cheers!
Great video!
The kavalan vinho barrique cask strength is amazing. Blue tube at 8:27...kavalan is a taiwan single malt well worth it when you find it, at that price (167)its a buy for me. It doesn't often get imported. My favorite of theirs is their ex-bourbon, where they finish their stuff in ex bourbon barrels.
Love these
The Reverend sour mash whiskey is from The Call Family distillers (my family's distillery) in North Carolina. The history runs back to Reverend Call and young Mr. Daniel partnered up to form the Daniel & Call Distillery No.7, District 4. The ground floor that became Jack Daniels old No. 7!
9:59 Lol- that was good 😄 made me laugh
Awesome to see stores that I frequent in your video! Next time you’re in town, I would be more than happy to show you around to some other places. Just a little bit further out of Nashville, and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

The Peerless DO bottles at the distillery are single barrels. The bottles at liquor stores are small batch. The single barrels are much better so you just need to decide if the price difference warrants it. For me, it does
You need to go up to Taconic in the summer or fall. It's beautiful up there. Their Single Barrel picks are some of the best anywhere. They pulled a 8.5 year 137 proof rye which blew away Parker's and JDSBBP Rye.
got a EH taylor single barrel today before it even hit the shelf. I bought a couple bottles of the orange lable private select barrel bourbon's and the guy was like i got a shipment of eh taylor in the back if you want a bottle before it hits the shelves. 79$ okay, sold. lol
I love the Lost Monarch cast strength!
@Brewzle you need to look at the saw mill down in Phenix City, AL to see if they open to selling and getting rezomed for a distillery/ bar!
Hemmingway Rye is a must buy! Love that stuff!
Atlantico Rum- Solera Aged from DR Difficult to find, very reasonably priced and an absolute Vanilla Bean Bomb. Just had some 2 days ago and my mind was blown (For the Rum Selection)
Funny you just picked up a wild turkey Kentucky Spirit,it what I've been enjoying lately..sad it's 170 here in Australia hence why it's hard to pull the trigger on since rare breed is 115 I'd always rather a Russell's single barrel for 90 here .but anyways love seeing all the different craft whiskeys you show ..things that may never make it to Australia but I still like seeing and learning what could be the future rare unicorns😅.cheers mate .keep up the good work🥃😉

I try and make a quarterly trip to Southern Star. Big fan. Paragons have been different with their own juice but they are still really good. I also tried a 100% rye mash bill before aging...seems like they would work well with customers.

You traipsin' around some of my ancestors territory.... Franklin, Spring Hill, Thompson's Station (Thompsons, Cheairs, Mckeevers)
Stuff and Whisky recommended Pepperfire Hot Chicken and there is a Craft Beer place about a block east of there (Southern Grist). Hattie B's is good too.
that new distillery that you plan on opening, is continuing to grow with knowledge... I wonder which small craft distiller are you going to persuade to make your bourbon? Cut Above? Frey Ranch? which is awesome thanks for that eye opener. your a clever guy Im sure you'll get the right guy...Good Luck with your research
Rum is my passion and I would love to see you walk down some rum aisles
The CN Kentucky Spirit is one of the best bottles I've bought recently

That Reservoir is really good. They’re from right up the road. They have a Bourbon, Wheat and Rye whiskey. Their Hunter & Scott Bourbon and Rye is solid as well.
I’ve seen brewzle pass by on multiple videos and not even mention anything about ‘Leiper’s Fork’ I had the Leiper’s Fork BIB Bourbon and it was solid. $70-80, so not cheap, but I recommend you give it a shot TJ!
hilton head is ridiculous. everything is closed after 9 and its the darkest roads I have ever seen in my life haha
The rebel small batch is really good. Its the last of thier sourced whisky before going to mgb (mgb owned).
Those 8 year Missouri whiskies at Southern Collective are Nobleton’s Whiskey. Probably taste like older whiskey too
Party Fowl in Donnelson is awesome!!
@brewle. Southern is just up the road from me. Great people. Have a friend that works there handling their events. They’ve come a long way in my opinion. On the other distiller in NC, was it Old Nick Williams? I know they have a stage and do a lot of events as well.
Buddy gifted me a bottle of the Taconic maple bourbon. I think it’s great. The maple flavor is subtle to me.
Went to an event at Treaty Oak and they released a 95 proof 5-year SiB finished in maple syrup barrels. Tasted like a really good DO product, had to grab a bottle to take home!

#BottleKill! That port finished rye sounds awesome!
I got the reservoir hazmat wheated rye and it is fantastic, just cherries and rye. Pretty sure regular releases are kind of mid tho
There is a LIVE Venue in Arington Texas by the ATT Stadium where the Cowboys play.
#bottlekill love the channel Thanks for sharing your visit to Southern Collective
Brewzle hunting for the 4 bottles in existence he doesn’t have open on the bar at home with a backup lol
#BottleKill and just another great video. I am now attempting to find enjoyment in a rye dominant whiskey, but I keep getting too much mint, and not some more citrus notes that are supposedly there. Maybe I am not finding the right bottles.
#bottlekill I love the juice that Taconic Distillery puts out. I first discovered them at a whiskey festival and fell in love with their Rye whiskey. Since then I have really enjoyed their Cabernet barrel finished bourbon but their star in my opinion is the Single Malt. I have gone through several bottles of this already!

All brands of benchmark are between 11.95 and 24 bucks in Idaho. It’s so good and cheap.
Firefly Distillery in Charleston, SC does the live bottles and it is Sazerac and really good
@Brewzle owns a bottle of scotch, and he LIKES IT? My whole world just went sideways!
Possibly Log Still Distillery? I work for a couple country music artists and have played there multiple times
Would Brewzle ever tell a distiller that he's not in love w their wares during a tasting?
Check those WT Kentucky Spirit bottles to see if they have the CN-F which means it comes from the Camp Nelson Rick house which is supposedly noticeably better than the others. I just got a CN-F to compare to my TY-F.
