Notice how carnage when he comes out, he rips through the skin, while venom almost "equips" himself over Eddie. And also notice how Carnage is able to open his body up in morbid ways where venom doesn't, really shows how Carnage rips the Cassidy apart and puts him back together again

I also love the detail that Carnage is more... fleshy than Venom. He's just made of blood and sinew. And when Carnage comes out, it appears as if Cletus physically morphs into Carnage rather than Carnage encasing him like Venom does to Eddie.

carnage is bonded through cassidy's blood unlike eddie where venom is bonded to eddie's nervous system so thats why carnage is fleshy

The detail about both hiding due to bell sound can also be stated as Venom is more experienced to the living on Earth and it's surrounding so he has developed to go hiding in an instant just as humans react to certain things like needle hurting or fire, while Carnage was just out and didn't get the idea of going into hiding in an instant. Latter part can also be checked out in the scene where they are in the '66 car and she screams and the first thing carnage does is to get rid of the sound itself and not hide or jump out becuase he's not experienced enough That's just me tho

Might be. But I think not. Carnage is the offspring of venom, so that means he probably knows what venom already does. Therefore, no need for development of those features. Then again, I'm not completely sure about the how symbiote reproduction works 😂.. (But it looked like cellular fission)

yeah, i feel like tcl doesnt go the full distance on some of these so called 'easter eggs' especially the fact that if eddie brock spoke for himself aswell as venom, the dialoge would be so different in almost every scene when hes communicating with other people. And in two scences other people have to relay venoms words. I think tcl might be getting community input for some of these. How could he be so confident about a blurry person in the background of loki but obviously not tell that it was ned and mj from liz's paty and not brad davis.

I found that the reason venom was smaller and generaly weaker us because eddie would npt let him eat. Its been hinted at through out the movie venom is weaker since he was never allowed to fully eat Edit: guys you got to understand im just a movie watcher. I don't know anything that the movie does not tell me I have not read the comics and may never This is mearly my observation.

Yes and no, symbiotes are attracted to eating brains hence why Venom wants to feed on people all the time. However, it's been implied that they can get the same chemicals from eating chocolate instead. Venom would still prefer people but he and Eddie have an agreement. Venom is generally weaker because he is just simply a weak symbiote. He has very little powers, strength, and size in comparison to his main foes in Riot and Carnage.

I also noticed that Venom retracted faster than Carnage when the bell rang, but my assumption was always that it was because Venom has been around for longer and was more experienced with protecting himself from the effects of loud sound which was why he retracted himself faster.

@@Darth_Maul10 yeah but they clearly didn't go for how it works in the comics since carnage doesn't have a personality it's just cletus and he doesn't have to worry about being a perfect match for his symbiote because it was created by mixing with his dna meanwhile in the movie they've been made into two separate entities and the only reason he was enduring the sound as well was because as venom said "he's a red one, they're stronger" he made it clear he didn't think he was strong enough to beat one so they've obviously created a new set of rules for their symbiotes to go off of

When I watched the movie I noticed another detail that you missed. When carnage is extending his arms,they take the form of DNA strings(sometimes),this is because carnage fused with cledus casadys blood. We do not see this with venom because he fused with eddies nervous system. It is a cool detail that I thought was worth mentioning.

Even during the final fight at the cathedral, when venom saves Anne his eyes are shedding a tear! Another nod to your point about his eyes being more expressive in the second part of the movie!

You missed one and that was when mulligan said “monsters” and his eyes starting moving like when Eddie’s did in the first moving, this means that in the next venom movie in the Sonyverse the villain will be toxin. 😁

6:46 this detail is actually shown earlier in the movie, when Cassidy gets shriek out of raven field, shriek,well, does a scream and carnage shows visible signs of being weakened but not entirely taken out.

I love how the breakdown of the spiderman trailer was twice as long as the breakdown of this entire film

It may be far fetched, but in post credit scene, venom was about to show him something maybe through some portal etc, but at same time, timelines were splitting due to Loki's events. That's why Venom is like "what's happening, what's happening", his tone feels like he himself didn't know what's going on.

Finally I been waiting for this video thank u

I love Carnage's personality. Him and Cletus had so much potential as villains. And also 6:46 it might also be because Carnage isn't as used to being inside a human like Venom. He is technically a newborn so he would be less experienced than Venom, hence the delay in reacting to the influence from high frequency sounds.

I feel like you missed something: In the scene where Cletus squishes a spider, it's probably the reason why he lost. Because apparently if you kill a spider, you get bad luck. So, if cletus didn't kill that spider, he would of won the battle against venom.

I thought the detail about Venom retracting into Eddie faster when the bell rang was actually showing that Venom was more experienced than Carnage. He reacted more quickly by retreating into the safety of Eddie's body, while Carnage writhed in pain a bit more before deciding how to respond to the sound.

Notice that Carnage literally 'tears' Kasady apart when he takes over Kasady's body. However, Venom just comes 'on' Brock's body, like Tony Stark's nanotech suit. This goes to show that Venom actually had some sense and is actually respecting to its host, while Carnage is just a mindless monster who cares of no one (not even its host) and wants to create chaos all the time.

@@joshuapaul359 Honestly, the appeal of Carnage x Kasady in the comics was that they were a PERFECT match for each other. They are BOTH wildly unstable and psychotic. Hearing Kasady scream "get away from my wife" makes me apprehensive about even watching this movie. Carnage is a fucking nightmare and hes stronger than both Venom AND SpiderMan which is what prompted them to team up against him back in the day. Dumb choice to try and make the audience feel bad for Kasady. Kasady was BORN to blend with Carnage.

You missed this 7:38 when police officer was shooting at carnage , after every shot carnage was actually shaking his hand because of noise of shot and not because he was taking the shot on body. This is the perfect example of how Marvel puts so much attention to the small details while making the movies.

I feel like a lot of these 0.25x speed videos find details that the writers, actors, set designers etc didn’t even mean to put in. You are so good at finding details!

When the detective was reading the newspaper about Kletus' hidden victims, he angrily crushed the newspaper. If you pause it at that scene, there's a headline saying something along the lines of " Avengers lose to nightmare ". ( or something of the sort... it was blurry and some letters were covered by his fist.

I watched it Thanksgiving with my family. Didn't really like how they changed carnage and Cletus not being a perfect match like in the comics (where they're so connected that they referrer to themselves as "I" instead of "we") but I understood why they had to do it

@@sunspot486 The problem is that Carnage is so un-accurate that he more resembles any average joe wearing a symbiote rather than Cletus who is a one of a kind. It's not bad, it's just not good either. We could've had better, but what we got instead was "passable".

Carnage hides his host pretty well. So it makes sense why Venom couldn't punch Carnage neither Cletus

Carnage doesn't hide cletus, instead restructures all the cells and fuses with him. Venom just adds protective coating on Eddie. Infact that is the reason why Venom retracted into eddie and carnage didn't

Here’s another detail. At the scene of the guard begging for his life, when Carnage stops, he does a Jurassic Park Velociraptor sound .

One more thing, the subtle detail on how Carnage is red could be a reference about how Carnage is red in the comics.

2:55 No, I just think in that scene Venom wanted to be heard by others (the enemies) in this scene. Similar to when he talked through Mrs. Chin to be heard by ann. So venom can talk to eddie through telepathy. So it's a choice by Venom

I don't know if they did this intentionally or just changing it for no reason but Venom voices in this movie are less frightening and more friendly(?) than the first movie, especially when Venom talks to Eddie This might show that Venom is really accepting Eddie not just as his host but also his friend Just my opinion tho

Venom: Let There Be Carnage, at the timestamp 1:11:40 where shriek says an eye for an eye, it's a reference to woody harrelson who played cletus and also played in now you see me and which has the famous quote an eye for an eye.

Love all the work! you have some amazing videos. one question though. how was the license plate on eddie’s bike a reference to amazing fantasy #1? seemed like the code that most people use to find the comic references was way off, or at least not matching or anything to what immediately makes sense to me

hey awesome video again i just dissagree with one part, 6:40 i think that venom hides quicker when the bell rings because he knows the risk or danger of sound as seen in the first movie, carnage didnt grew up around symbiotes and wasnt part of a kinda military team. I think the moment shows that venom is more expierenced then carnaged even if he might be more powerful

This movie was amazing to see in IMAX, the picture and sound was amazing. Especially the let there be carnage scene

Sony confirmed Tobey's Spiderman right under our noses. During the post-credits scene when Venom says "That guy" he actually identifies him as Spiderman due to Sam Raimi venom's hive memory.

Also noticed how in none of the venom movies, we have ever seen him transform on day time and rarely they ever transform in a place with great lightning conditions, possible it is not only an attempt to make the movie seem darker but also to hide the mistakes of the vfx team

One more detail you missed. till this point every symbiote grows over the host, carnage is the only one which directly transforms the cleatus' body instead of covering it over.

7:41 scene 17 when the cop is firing at carnage you can actually see his hand is shaking when the bullet is hitting the body..✌️

There was a detail on TV while the Cop was in Eddie's house . In the TV ,there was an advertisement of a mobile game "FREEFIRE " . AND , FREEFIRE collabed with VENOM franchise then . The directors are really good in putting details

You forgot to mention how at the end, the detective’s eyes turn dark while he says “Monsters”, which follows with the comics that depict him becoming the host of the symbiote, Toxin.

8:00 I also thought that this could be a nod to the movie species.

Around like 3:55 -- How exactly is the license plate number a reference to Amazing Fantasy #15? You read a string of numbers that have no clear connection to the thing you're connecting them to and didn't explain how they're connected at all lol. "It makes sense that this number would appear in this film." Not to me.

I think some of it is utter bullshit he just makes up.. Like the "Get your Rhino here" is a real advertisement for a propane company called Blue Rhino that gas stations and the like have up.
