You must give the cinematics a look. They are top level and include a lot of the champions in these to give you a better idea of them. Id say reach out to one of the lore creators as well people like "Necrit" could give more react content and some fun info on the characters in arcane!

Sometimes cinematics are disliked not because they're bad, but because people dislike the champion. Not because of their design but because of their gameplay. K'sante was incredibly broken upon release, and still kind of is. People make it into a meme

@@Oscar97o pretty sure not, neeko was "announced" gay before her trailer even came out yet she have é29K like for only 6K dislike, and aside champ like zoe (80k-11k) or seraphine (68K 148K) were more on the borken/annoying side of the spectrum, so i think it's really cuz the champ is ksante more than that he's gay

Watch the fiddlesticks trailer. Its soo good. They updated his lore and reworked him so it isn’t in the new releases play list since he already was a champion. There are a couple other like this. Both Warwick and Fiddlesticks are amazing and pretty terrifying. Also fiddlesticks voice actor is FUCKING AMAZING. No filter was put on that shit. Look it up. Fiddle sticks voice actor.

I remember when the Jinx cinematic came out, there was a theory: the robots in the video are actually people but because Jinx is crazy, she doesn't see them as people. but Jinx was always liked. the Video was total fire, never seen before and the Champion has funny voicelines as well. she also mentioned "her sister" but noone realy knew but Vi was quessed to be her sister

I'd love to see you react to the cinematics. Also Necrit has a video with the lore summed up and explained in such a great way.

I HIGHLY encourage you to look more into the lore of Runeterra (the universe League of Legends happens in), it has a TON of extremely interesting stories, characters, places, etc and you'll never run out of stuff to look into with it

You should definitely react to Necrits Leauge MMO Lore explained videos. They explain the lore of leauge better than the champion trailers. It’s such good lore!

In the K'Sante trailer when the narrator says they finished the hunt together, he's referring to the first trailer where K'Sante was reading something on the table. The monster he fought in the 2nd trailer is something he and the archer had been trying to fight for an extremely long time but could never defeat. Before the archer left, he had detailed notes on all the fights they had done prior, and he noted that the monster did not regenerate in the water. K'Sante read the notes and used the archer's strategy to fight the monster in favorable conditions and finally defeat it, thus why they won "together"

39:30 the act pattern actually got zeds character right as a joke is insane hahahah. A "bad" guy who is actually good and misunderstood.

Well, he's good-ish. He does bad things to reach a goal he thinks is right.

There are earlier champions than what's in that playlist, but they used to only make a unique "login screen" with some cool artwork, a guide to how to play the champion (made by phreak ofc) and an accompanying song that would play in the game launcher to the artwork. Sometimes they would also release concept art, from behind the scenes in development - stuff that never made it into the game. Sometimes they would also showcase user-made art, costumes, cosplay etc. in a little show hosted by riot employee Nika(saur), which was called "summoner showcase... back when riot was owned by artists and gamers.

Alright, I LOVE that you actually pay attention for each and every one of these! So many I watched would always talk over the videos and then ask things that they could've found out from the video 😅You should definitely see the cinematics! Looking forward to when you do. Though, it should be mentioned that you might come across some cinematics that focus on skinlines (star guardian, project, spirit blossom), which are usually alternate universes and not related to the main lore.

btw Runeterra is the name of their world *> Taliyah: Homecoming:* that wasn't the sun, that was the Sun Disc that rose up when Azir came back to life and ascended, Taliyah mistakenly thinks that Azir is a bad guy because their country, Shurima, heavily used slavery but actually Azir wanted to end slavery but got assassinated before he could, ironically Azir was assassinated because he did not end the slavery sooner which then prolonged the slavery in their country and influenced Taliyah and her family AAAAAAND Shurima as an empire was lost long time but the land stayed but as a shambling crumbling leftovers of what it once was *> Kled: The Reunion:* Kled is from a race of animalistic small people, called Yordles, who are longlived but Kled chose a different lifestyle to them, plus he is canonically doing shrooms and possible other drugs, so he is kinda nuts, the cinematic is about him and his steed, Skaarl, reuniting which is actually a game mechanic because if Kled loses certain amount of HP, Skaarl runs away because she is a cowardly lizard *> Ivern: Friend of the Forest:* Ivern, formerly a warrior, became kinda a nature spirit after cutting down sacred tree which imbued him with itself and transformed him into this so he could protect the nature in its place *> Xayah and Rakan: Wild Magic:* Xayah, the girl, and Rakan, the guy, are from a race of half-humans and half-spirits, Vastaya, which gives them animal features, in this case they are from some bird tribe, and the bad ninja guy is another champion, Zed, and ironically, he got rewritten into kinda an antihero later on *> Kayn: The Path of Shadows:* Kayn has in-game mechanic where you collect points from hurting other champions and either he becomes the Shadow Assassin where he masters the Shadow Arts or he succumbs to the demon within his scythe and becomes a Darkin, a special race of demonic entities bound to weapons, in this case bound to Kayn's scythe *> Ornn, the Fire Below the Mountain:* League of Legends is actually built from a WoW mod and Ornn, and the bear called Volibear, are MASSIVE in the lore, also they are demigods of the Freljord *> Zoe: The Aspect of Twilight:* Zoe is disliked because her gameplay is extremely cancerous to play against, plus the cinematic is just in-game gameplay which is lazy, compare it to for example Xayah's and Rakan's Wild Magic *> Kai’Sa: Breach:* Kai'Sa's shoulders are actually shoulder cannons made from a Void, the Vel'Koz/Rek'Sai place, parasyte, imagine Marvel's Venom, basically *> Pyke: The Bloodharbor Ripper:* Pyke comes from an area that is filled with pirates and he got sacrificed doing his job of hunting sea monsters, but came back for some reason, and is now chasing down those who betrayed him, at least he thinks so but in actuality, he is insane and hunts down anybody thinking they were part of the crew that left him to die, so at the end he basically says that you are his next target *> Pyke: The Ripper’s Revenge:* Pyke's gameplay, fun fact, Pyke is a support and an assassin, which is why a lot of people hate him *> Sylas: The Unshackled:* Sylas is a mage from a nation, Demacia, that fears and hates mages, which is very justified within that world, but his magic is unique as he copies magic of others, in the gameplay he uses Ults of other champions against them, also he uses his chains as a weapon because they are actually magical in a sense, they also absorb magic and Sylas found out how to use it afterwards AND at the end appears another champion named Lux *> Magic is Rising: Stand With Sylas:* at the end Sylas faces against another champion, called Garen who is Lux's brother, also Sylas is kinda a piece of crap *> Empress of the Elements:* Qiyana is not a druid, she comes from the nation of Ixtal which uses elemental magic in very scientific/alchemic sort of way *> Senna: Dark Passage:* the guy is called Lucian, the undead being is Thresh, and these two are enemies because Thresh stole the soul of Lucian's wife, Senna, all three are champions in the game *> Senna: Shadow’s Embrace:* the lantern keeps the souls that Thresh stole over the years, and yes, Lucian was on a long quest to get Senna back, or at least to get even *> Aphelios: The Weapon of the Faithful:* Aphelios has 5 "guns", 4 are guns in more traditional sense and the 5th is the chakram/shuriken thing *> Beyond the Garden:* Lillia is not a horse, she is actually partially a deer, a doe of a fawn if you want, and she is kind of a spirit And I will see if I put down the rest, this should suffice for now. Runeterra is actually the name of the world with all the different continents and regions (like Shurima, Noxus, Freljord etc.). The cardgame is called legends of Runeterra as it uses the same lore and characters as lol and expands it. It is all part of the same canon story and universe.

If you do feel like playing the game, understand that the game has a lot of game mechanics that are interwoven and complex to the first time player. Though not hard to understand individually, they do get a while to get used to just controlling the character. Add the mass amount of information that's needed to know what's happening, it takes time to understand the game. After that, you will enjoy it lol aka getting used to the game is hard, no easy way to learn but it's enjoyable once you can manage the basics

The "Get Jinxed" song plays in one of the scenes from Arcane where Jinx is working on the Hextech weapon for Silco, just for like 5-6 seconds but still it's a nice easter egg

it's interesting to see the reaction of someone that's not played league but has seen arcane, i've always felt that the jinx/vi lore of the game was so surface level and arcane fleshed it out so well, so much so that they ended up retconning canon league lore

It looks like the playlist is missing a few champions like Warwick, Swain, Aatrox and Fiddlesticks for example.

First thing, some of these trailers are so old, they do no longer actually fit their champion fully because the stories get rewritten from time to time. League early on did not have a clear idea about the world, that came out later on and since then the stories got more thought through and champions went from archetypes to more unique characters (Jinx was quite literally the crazy chick archetype of Harley Quinn) Second, some trailers have a little bit after the title, like the Vel'Koz one. He says at the end "Thank you for your contribution" implying he disintegrated the guy and absorbed the knowledge from him

@@treasure9342 it depends There are characters that got basically scrapped and remade into something more like Warwick Previously he was just some douche who betrayed a benevolent magical healer and got cursed. New incarnation is that he was a normal guy struggling to survive but a crazy scientist captured him and experimented on him. And when it seemed that Warwick died, the scientist threw him away but the experiments then kicked in, revived Warwick and transformed him into a werewolf-chimera being. Now he hunts in the city those who smell of blood, criminals and gangsters. There is a whole short story about that Then there are characters that got retouched, lore-wise, like Lissandra. Previously she was just an ancient witch biding her time to conquer the whole world, or at least that seemed so. Now it is that she uses her powers to seal immensely powerful world-destroyers but she will do anything to keep them sealed but it also eats away at her But there are also some that got developed like Taric Previously he was just a gem knight from a rich family, nothing more. Afterwards he got reworked, in-game, and his lore followed. Basically they left what he was previously but added that it got him into trouble because he was leaving his posts, as a soldier, to chase after the beauty and I mean natural beauty not just girls, which resulted in the death of his whole platoon. And that got him basically sentenced to the highest punishment within that kingdom, which ironically is either exile or death, depends on the person. Because people are there sent to climb the highest peak in the whole world but many choose to just run away but Taric followed through. He persevered. Climbed the mountain and when he reached the top he became an Ascended. A chosen mortal to be a vessel of a higher being. And he became an Aspect of the Protector and it is now his duty to protect the beauty of the world

Buy yourself some chem-tech upgrades for your body like the big evil guy from *Ekko: Seconds* And yes, Renata's Ult is the cloud of poison/perfume that turns the enemy against themselves, basically Taunt against your own teammates *> Bel'Veth's Promise:* also yes, that was a vision of the Sun Disc that Azir from *Shurima: Rise of the Ascended* brought back, she gave that vision to another champion, the guy in purple robes, he is called Malzahar and he is a prophet of the Void, dimension of nothingness that Vel'Koz from *Vel'Koz: First Contact* , Rek'Sai from *Rek'Sai: The Terror Beneath* , Kai'Sa's parasite from *Kai’Sa: Breach* and Bel'Veth come from *> Bel'Veth's Warning:* the squid-like monster was Vel'Koz from *Vel'Koz: First Contact* and yes, Bel'Veth was an upcoming champion at that point *> All That Will Ever Be:* the girl is Kai'Sa from *Kai’Sa: Breach* and she fights the Void Bel'Veth is not one entity, she is an amalgamation of everything the Void consumed, so she can use somewhat human form for communication but is ultimately a somewhat manta-like monster because she consumed a whole city and a large part of a sea and now shares all of that within herself, all of their memories, DNA, etc. *> The Hunter’s Pride:* the Ascended reference the "God Warriors" of Shurima, like Renekton from *Shurima: Descent into the Tomb* or Azir from *Shurima: Rise of the Ascended* , because Nazumah where K'Sante comes from borders Shurima so there is some ancient bad blood between them since Shurima was an expanding empire And K'Sante gets meme'd in the comments because he was made in a collab with some celebrity, dunno which one and don't care honestly, and is the first openly gay champion *> Defeat Your Monster:* the weapons are called Ntofos but are basically giant shield-like tonfas from the real world The finishing the hunt together line is more metaphorical, K'Sante finished it with the wisdom of his lover And K'Santa is also disliked for his modern clothes and Johnny Bravo design which is a sentiment I do share, and meme'd for being, once again, the first openly gay champion which is probably why the first cinematic was *The Hunter’s **_Pride_* and his title is The _Pride_ of Nazumah *> K’Sante: The Pride of Nazumah:* yes, the Ace means that the entire team was killed but it is universally announced to everybody in the match And fun thing, some clips do include death of the champion teased and sometimes they even cut right before the death :D K'Sante is mostly durable as hell and he is way too mobile for a tank and has an annoying shield which are another reasons to dislike him *> Milio: The Gentle Flame:* Millio is called gentle flame because he uses flames to support and heal his team, he is a support role He comes from the same kingdom as Qiyana from *Empress of the Elements* where as I said, use elemental magic more like alchemy or science *> HOUNDS OF IRON:* the knife is another one of those demonic entities bound to a weapon called Darkin like Kayn's scythe from *Kayn: The Path of Shadows* and yes, it does possess a group of hounds to become its new body Formerly all Darkin were humans but were Ascended the same way as Renekton from *Shurima: Descent into the Tomb* and Azir from *Shurima: Rise of the Ascended* but later on became corrupted by the Void and some of them were sealed to weapons *> Naafiri: The Hound of a Hundred Bites:* yes, Naafiri is a burst champion, assassin to be specific She starts with 2 hounds, gets a 3rd one later on and during the Ult, which you guessed correctly, summons a whole lot more of them, dunno the exact number, I think 5 is a max but I am not sure *> Feeding Frenzy:* not exactly a vampire but a spin on a vampire, she is essentially a weapon made through blood magic but way too effective and uncontrollable, that's why she was imprisoned She goes frenzy, even in-game, and starts attacking anything she can, self-Taunting herself onto enemies *>Hwei: The Visionary:* Hwei is using special kind of magic connected to colors, he even sees the world differently which has burdened him for years and marked him as one of the cursed ones And Jhin from *Jhin: Mind of the Virtuoso* who is an artistic murderous psychopath influenced him, killed his masters, burned down his temple and unleashed him upon the world AND for final words, this is not even all. There are some others cinematics and music videos connected to champions, champion reworks and skinline but you do you I am impressed that you went even through all of this since you do not even play and I would not recommend you to play because League is a weird thing Maybe try Riot Games' MMORPG they are making in the future, that one could be fun and hopefully, not as toxic as League of Legends itself

Just wanna mention some stuff about Bel'Veth. In the cinematic where she fought Kai'sa, a hint that her human face isn't her actual face is when her mouth doesn't match up with the words. Also, there are two voids in the game. The Watchers' void and Bel'veth's void. The Watchers want to destroy Runeterra (the planet) while Bel'veth wants to take over everything. As for the void champions in the game, they are from one or the other side. Rek'sai, Vel'koz and Khax'xiz are part of the Watchers' void while Malzahar, who is human, sides with Bel'veth. For Kog'maw and Cho'gath, they don't have enough lore for them to be on one side or the other but they are probably sided with the Watchers. As for Kai'sa and Kassadin, they are both human and are against both sides.

Fun fact: Braum's shield is actually a Vault Door that he couldn't bust down. He was trying to free a troll boy that was trapped in a cave, sealed by that door. So since he couldn't break the door, je just punched his way through the rocks around the door to get the troll boy out. And now he uses this unbreakable door as a shield (cue the Hodor memes)

i know im super late to this but if you get interested in the lore or the stories of league of legends based off the cinematics i'd highly HIGHLY recommend watching Necrit's lore videos (not in 1 sitting) as he has really good lore videos about the characters and the universe (the lore videos are mainly read from the lore riot themselves posted over the years and not all the lores are accurate now due to them retconning the universe twice and, after the release of arcane, unified the universe, but most lores not pertaining to piltover and zuan are still canon)
