I can confirm this is an accurate quote.

I was on a Swiss Airlines training course at Zurich Airport in 2004 during the Euros. We stayed at one of the airport hotels for a couple of weeks (Mövenpick) The hotel was used by flight crews from all over Europe, and it was great watching the matches in the hotel bars with fans of the other countries. When England beat Switzerland 3-0, we even had the Swiss fans coming up to us, shaking our hands and saying 'well done'! Fabulous atmosphere!

In DACH (German speaking countries), people tend to ring a bell or shake their keys when their team has a corner. It's kinda like a jinx/crossing fingers that their team scores. At least that's what I learned since moving here and going to stadiums all over.

Running around the corner of an empty street at the end had me laughing out loud. Why on earth hasn't some mainstream TV producer seen her potential and signed her up?

I was in Zurich nearly 20 years ago. Saw a U2 concert there. Alcohol was very expensive. Basel is also a nice city to go to aswell.

I'm English and live in Basel. I watched the game with two English friends in a great football bar here called "Didi Offensiv". We were the only non-Swiss there. Never any danger, after the result, but awkard being surrounded by disappointment.
