Carmilla and Zestial also both seem to be the most pragmatic and honorable Overlords whereas the younger Overlords such as the Vees, Alastor, Husk and Angel Dust`s family are mostly serial killers, cannibals, vapid social media obsessed supermodels, mindfucking narcissistic influencers, mafiosis, pimps, prostitutes, gamblers, drug addicts and thugs.

For me, Alastor is the most intriguing character, and Niffty is the funniest. But my all-around favorite character is Lucifer, hopefully we see him more in the next season. My favorite episode is 5, because both songs were great (and Lucifer!). Of course, ep 8 was also great.

Because Adam was pretty much already worthy of hell (in our eyes), I wonder if the rules of Heaven/Hell are actually based on doubts. Heaven is worry free, and Hell is where you have insecurities/doubts. Lucifer was cast out not by angels, but by his own volition (and Sara was scared of Em "ending up Fallen", a wording I'm interpreting as "no other Angel made the decision to cast Lucifer out of Heaven, it just happened to him") and went to Hell. Adam was confident in himself the whole time, and had went to Heaven (and no other Angel thought weirdly about this). Sir Pentious follows this pattern as well (he finally had no doubts in the end). By this logic, Adam would appear in Hell because he was bested by people who are not worthy, and he becomes more and more enraged without acceptance (or something else that anchors him strongly to Hell).

@@helcostr6280 well Adam also literally said "you all should be worshipping me" which is like the biggest no-no in christianity, false idols and false worship. Even if being a sadist and enjoying murder isnt enough to send an angel to hell, arrogance and pride like that definitely should be. Not to mention that expanded upon in helluva boss, the layer of hell they're on is the ring of Pride, where all sinners reside and Lucifer is the sin of pride. So clearly the actual act of sinning does play a role. Also Adam originally went to Hell, as did every human, because of the original sin they committed by eating the apple. In christianity its not until Jesus dies, travels to Hell and absolves all the sinners of the original sin - bringing Adam and Eve back to Heaven. I dont think that the show will follow that completely accurately, but Adam wasn't really a sinner (beside eating the apple) until he went to heaven and (somehow) became an angel. Sera says in the episode that Adam was the first human to become an angel, but he wasn't the first human to die, that would've been Abel. So its unclear how Adam actually became an angel, and I'd guess that Sera had something to do with it. Maybe Adam wanted to start the exterminations BECAUSE he had just spent however many centuries in Hell before the original sin was absolved and he was able to come to Heaven, and he was bitter/wanted revenge so he goes to Sera and Sera makes him an angel to carry out the exterminations. I have a feeling that Adam would never naturally have been made an angel by God (if God is even still around in this world). And I think that hubris will be inevitably what causes Adam and Sera's fall (and I think we'll see them both in Hell by the end of the show).

what's so hilarious to me about adam in hell is forever is that he could've summoned and used his guitar at any moment, but he decided to be obnoxious and do an air-guitar solo first. i love him.

As for the question about Vaggie's knowledge, my understanding is that she obviously knows angels can be harmed by other angels. She experienced that herself What she didn't know was that angels can also be harmed by demons, so long as they are using angelic weapons

Personally I think that everyone kind of knew angels could be harmed potentially by angelic weapons, but didn't know that they could be killed. It would make sense since no demons have ever tried and no angels would ever kill another angel. That also explains why the angels didn't worry about leaving their weapons behind - they wouldn't be that sloppy if they were aware.

It's also worth noting that Vaggie's wings grew back, and they were simply torn off, while her eye never came back after being cut with an angelic weapon. It may be a similar deal to demons regenerating unless they're killed by angelic weapons.

Fun fact: Angel Dust has 2 siblings. His twin sister, Molly is in heaven and can be seen when Saint Peter says "everyone is hot", she is in the bottom right corner. His older brother is Arackniss and you can see him for a few frames towards the end when Katie Killjoy says that extermination day is cancelled, he just looks like Angel Dust but black pretty much.

In episode 4’s ‘Poison’, the fan theory is that after the line “I disassociate, disappear”, the images that appear on the video screens behind him are what’s *ACTUALLY* happening to him, and the foreground acting is what his mind is making him believe what’s happening to him.

@1:17:50 Lilith is his wife. Lucifer's design is what it is because HE was the one who gave them apple. HE was the serpent in the garden. The gift of free will and knowledge (the apple) was his, and he offered it to them. It doesn't really have anything to do with Eve specifically, that's just his brand now 😂 But I get what you mean. I just find it funny; the apple and snake combo says "this is how I fucked up humanity" and he wears it like a crown.😂 If you look around in the background you'll see apple/snake/angel wings motifs everywhere. Fun fact if you look at him from the back, his coat is the shape of an apple's core, and the two buttons at his waist look like seeds. His hair is also shaped like an apple sitting on its side, with a stem and leaf. He has a forked tongue and his eyes are usually just slits like snake eyes. It's a really fun design. Great use of shapes and colour.

Lucifer and Satan are separate Princes of Hell in the show`s lore, also technically in The Bible and demonology as well if ya go back far enough. Satan`s the Prince of Wrath and looks how you`d expect The Devil to look, Lucifer`s the King of Pride and Charlie`s father.

Ooh since you're gonna be watching Helluva Boss, you should know some basic info that isn't explicitly mentioned in the show, so yeah Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are both happening in the same universe, except the Hazbin Hotel exists in the Pride ring, one of the 7 rings of hell, each ring being named by one of the 7 deadly sins. All the sinners exist only in the Pride ring since that's where the extermination takes place, meanwhile hellborn beings can freely travel throughout all 7 rings at will using (im pretty sure) elevators or other means of transportation. The 7 deadly sins are also Beings that rule over hell, traditionally each one residing in their own ring. In the scale of power/influence the 7 sins are only below Lilith and Charlie. Oh yeah, the list represents Hells Hierarchy, all positions on this scale are in descending order with Lucifer being the most important person: -Lucifer -Lilith and Charlie -The 7 Deadly Sins (powerful demons based on one sin only) -Ars Goetia (basically hell royalty that takes care of the universe and other things) -Overlords (Alastor, Rosie etc.) -Sinners -Hellborn -Imps and Hellhounds (imps are considered lesser beings in hell, meanwhile hellhounds are literally up for adoption as body guards) I don't know if you already know this info, but it's worth to know before watching the show, have fun reacting to Helluva Boss next.

Good summary. But I'd like to add that the current situation is a bit strange, because it seems that neither show can really use characters from the other one (because Hazbin is now A24/Amazon product, and Helluva Boss is not). So they fit together, but only indirectly.

I thought it was hilarious how the list to get into heaven said "stick it to the man" and Adam proclaimed himself to be THE original man. Serpentious would have stuck it to him good. He deserves that spot past the pearly gates. It tickles me also that Adam is trying to fight to only person that isn't a descendant of him. Charlie's genes don't even touch his bloodline.

for episode for, you'll be surprised how deep his music ACTUALLY goes. Somebody could say it better than be but to put it in short, after "Another gulp" it goes straight into dancing which is him 'escaping' by dissociating but she cant escape Valentino, especially when Valentino it either knowingly or unknowingly knocking Angel dust/ Anthony from his own safe haven. It hits hard because Valentino is a VERY VERY real person. Usually you'd think women go through this but it also hits harder knowing that angel dust is a male and stuff like this happens to guys too, you just don't hear about it.

Alastor is my favorite character, followed by Niffty, then Sir Pentious (if we’re talking main cast). Lucifer is by far my favorite side character. Alastor is… yeah. A redemption arc for him is highly unlikely. He was crazy killer on earth, and in Hell. People have theorized that, upon entering Hell, he made a deal with either Lilith or Eve to gain the unexplainable power he grew legendary for. Fans have also speculated whether or not Lilith is actually Charlie’s mom. (Hints such as- her not having horns in some family photos, while they’re present in others. If they’re going with the og story, Lilith is cursed to never have living children. Also, there are trading card packs where we can’t see her full face, only Eve’s smile from Ep 1). I’m personally on the fence with these theories. Whoever it may be, it’s likely she sent Alastor to the hotel in order to protect Charlie.

One in the bar with the demon laughing at Charlie after watching her on the news and the other was also watching her on the news but from the street and through multiple tvs. It’s where we also see alastor for the first time.

Also, Lucifer was once known as Samael the archangel of death, that was his name when he married Lilith. He was nicknamed "Lucifer Magne" and later "Lucifer Morningstar" because the other archangels(Michael, Gabriel, Jophiel, Raphael, Camael, Lucifer`s sister who later fell like Lucifer and became the Horseman War, Uriel, Azrael and Forti, all but Samael, Gabriel, Camael and Michael died in the first Heavenly War and Michael, God and Raphael were so traumatized they fled to the highest reaches of the Holy Sanctum where no soul could reach and no prayers could be heard) saw him as having the pride of an ancient Emperor and eventually those names stuck in human tradition.

One of the conditions that Adam set to go to the heaven was not to steal, but Sr Pentious stole a kiss from Cherry Bomb and he went to the heaven 😂

Something I love about Hazbin Hotel is that most characters remind me of someone I'm close to. Adam: My dad Lute: My mom Lucifer: My aunt Alastor: My uncle Husk: My older brother Sir Pentious: My younger brother Angel: My best friend Charlie: My best friend's wife Nifty: My best friend's wife's sister Vaggie: My cousin It's a great show and I really enjoy your reaction.

Adam is one of my favorite characters, to me, he is well written villain. Vivienne and some animators and writers wrote on Twitter that he is one of their favorite characters, and how fun they have writing him. A charismatic funny cocky toxic spoiled misogynistic sexist based douchebag that you have fun love to hate. And there is a reason why he is that evil. He wasn't evil when he was alive, he was just a selfish person who fought his wife was made for him in his eyes, because she appeared a little bit later after his birth, and he wanted her to do what he wants, he demanded control, let's not forget that he is first human, he didn't have parents who could teach him a discipline and what's right and wrong, he grew up in the environment that morals for humanity didn't existed yet, when he get to heaven, Sera didn't make him realize that he made mistake, and the fact that Lilith didn't submit his will, and later with lucifer exposed earth to the root of all evil, and perhaps possessed his new wife Eve, in Adam's eyes that makes his actions, his idea "that woman are not equals as him but a man's additions who should submit him" look good, when Lilith and Lucifer are villains in his point of view. Also in hazbin hotel he didn't ate the fruit of knowledge, because of this, he didn't gain knowledge, did not allow him to realize his mistakes, and cannot find the difference between good and evil, so he has black and white views. And then Sera gives him a royal fancy live, that he will get anithing he wants on the silver platter, and not facing a consequences of his mistakes, and he lived like Kuzco, without love and discipline reveling in power in ten thousands years, so what's why he is so spoiled frat bro and has God complexes, because of the fact he get from Sera and Elders that he is the first human, a special who gave birth to humanity, reason why Adam is so evil is due to him being spoiled rotten because of how he had the whole world in his favor on how he wanted to see it fit, making him labeled to be too special for his benefit, ironically this makes him more in line with how the original biblical Devil is than Lucifer, having his perfection corrupt him. In first episode what he sayed, he was wrong, but he didn't lied because he genuinely believes in that.

Angel dust is my absolute favorite character and Blake Roman (angel’s voice actor) did an amazing job voicing him Lute is my second and velvette is my third❤😂

To be fair, most of the Exterminators are actually not as sadistic, prejudiced and douchey as Adam and Lute are, they`re mostly mortal souls who went to Heaven and were either assigned to the task by one of the Archangels(Adam later refers to them as "Winners" as opposed to "Sinners") and Seraphims or serve Adam and Lute out of fear.

Vaggie was a soldier, Heaven in a lot of mythologies and other shows like "Supernatural" keeps a lot of shit from its grunts to keep them from rebelling like Lucifer or sympathizing with the other fallen angels and demons like Vaggie did.

I love that Charlie just leaves Cherry so utterly confused. She blows up this chicks wall, tries to take Angel for a night on the town, gets suddenly recruited to take everyone out, has a bunch of money just shoved in her hands, and then Charlie just throws Vaggie through a portal and peaces out without elaborating or even getting mad at her for the wall. She's gotta be thinking "What just happened? I'm still in Hell, right? Why isn't she pissed?"

I love how Niffty`s adorable and terrifying in equal measure!I mean the Imps in "Helluva Boss" are cool and all but Niffty is a perfect representation of what demon imps are supposed to be like. Little bundles of depravity, OCD and chaos with a little bit of twisted mischief that could be mistaken as wholesome if you didn`t know any better!

helluva boss is a separate show just playing in the same world and focusing more on earth, hell and the hellborn instead of the pride ring, heaven and the sinners not really a prequel also season 2 for hazbin hotel is already in the works

I understand Alastor eating the deer without skinning or cooking it..he's a demon but what really messes with me is that it looks like it might have started to decompose..nah. that made my stomach turn

maybe 'Disney for sensible matures'. I'd expect 'Disney for Adults' to have rather more in common with a porno with a good storyline. I know, Im old-fashioned. :)

I'm glad that whatever way they choose to take Alistor, they have planted a few ideas through the season so it's not a whiplash when it happens.

My personal opinion, my favorite character is Lute. The Angel/Exorcist that is always near Adam. She has the girl boss villain energy. And I'm all for it. But Alastor is my second favorite. I love how secretive he is. And I love how he manipulates many people (including some of the fandom-).

Re: Alastor. He's definitely not a good guy right now. I keep going back and forth on whether I want him to be redeemed or not. Personally, I think one of the big lessons Charlie will have to learn is that even if she's right that rehabilitation and redemption is possible, not everyone can be redeemed. And I think she's going to have to learn it more than once--Valentino needs to die and does not deserve redemption. But Alastor may be the last time. I think he'll be one of if not the final antagonist/villain. Do I think he's capable of redemption? Yes. He does show that he *can* care about other people, just not enough to do what Pentious did and put their his safety and lives above his. Which in itself doesn't make him evil. I think it's going to come down to whether or not Alastor *wants* to be redeemed... aaaand I just don't know how likely that is, lol.

"1000000 heaven bucks". Man if heaven has capitalism is it really heaven?

BTW, Helluva boss is in the same universe as Hazbin hotel, but they are 2 different series, not really a prequel series since it is still on going

I love that you pointed out sir penthouse and keekee being wholesome. As the embodiment of the hotel and what it stands for I like to think keekee knows when I would is ready or can be redeemed, it’s why in the last few episodes we see keekee on air pentious lap, on his shoulder or just generally in his prescience more than the others.

the songs are fire because most of the cast are broadway actors too 🔥 and the music producers & writers are just badass

Favorite character is angel dust. I see a little bit of me in him in how I try to hide the pain I feel sometimes, though sir pentius snuck his way into my favorites list with how socially awkward he can be. Favorite episode though is episode 6 just because of the you didn't know song. So much going on in there and that double calling out of heaven and the exterminators by Charlie and Emily hits so hard! Favorite song so far will be loser baby, but darn does you didn't know get me pumped!

Love Hazbin Hotel it's great. Hazbin Hotel is now on Blu-Ray. I just bought a copy.

1:11:10 - I think the reason is because we get such lore drops during the songs. They're not just good music. They're also driving the world's story or the character's story directly. Every single song we learn something new about something in this world and it's glorious.

If you like the big plot point of “the soul changing in the afterlife” you should watch the series The Good Place. It explores it a ton.

Brandon Rogers did a great job with the Reporter's voice, he fits that role so perfectly. BTW, Thanks for putting this out on YT, I enjoyed seeing the reaction- you seem to be a lot more chill than most reactors, who just sit and yap the whole time.

my favorite episode is episode 6, and husk is easily my favorite character, he is underrated

I love Huskers Character development 😃 You've seen the pilot, that was before Amazon bought the show. I'm not sure how far Huskers character was planned, I sense in his case that he was supposed to be a funny, stupid drunkard until he gets his little redemption arc where he learns that he can still do something with his life. Don't know if that's the case, but I love that they made him being 'the wise, old bartender' and Angels bestie. But I don't ship them! I saw some Huskerdust rumors ongoing, and it would be weird to me if they had something romantic after Husker was so resentful not only to his attitude, but to the idea of having sex. I see him to be straight and as a friend, a very good one in the future. I don't need a romance there 😅

I don't argue about ships, it will happen what will happen, but in my personal opinion they are better besties than lovers, I didn't see any romantic spark there, there is similarity, but not attraction. I like Gothrock, and if I meet a metaler who likes soft tones, it's an easy way to create a bond for live, because you talk. But that doesn't necessarly mean that I need her in bed, those are two very different sentiments. And these two are buddies as I see it. Very very good buddies who may or may not buy an antfarm together to raise it, but still pals.
