Edit: Fyi, if you look underneath the product description of the Fermented Rice Ritual, it has a list of products that you can pair with it and the Reconstructing Treatment Mask is listed... So im confused lol 😅 Before anyone else calls me out for being an idiot: -yes, I know the Reconstructing Mask is not a conditioner. -no, I didn't realize that keratin was a protein. Lol...

No baby, we don't think you are an idiot. Great review. Your description of your experience is articulate and honest. All in all I think the products worked beautifully on your hair. I think it's alright for you to splurge on some of the products.....especially if a little bit goes a long way. Let us know how long the products last you.

1st Your not an idiot and you shouldn't think that way about yourself. And, yes you did mention you didn't know or understand it, that's honestly I know I can appreciate. I was just stating then don't talk negative about something you don't understand. What you say is just as important as how you say it. Maybe going forward as a tip, you can just not rate something or give your opinion on it like you stated due to lack of knowledge on it. If that makes sense.

Love this review. I saw your comment about the fermented rice ritual and reconstructing mask but my first thought while watching this was that your hair looks so healthy-, not bleached, fried or heat damaged so I doubt you even need any treatments. I understand why it would be a part of Beyoncé’s hair regimen because her hair is bleached. However, I’m so glad you gave each product a try and delivered one of the best reviews I’ve seen about the line. Void of any biases or judgements on what Beyoncé’s hair look like, its type, or how she wears her hair. That said after viewing this, if I was going to invest in a high end product from this line it would be the lotion and possibly the moisturizing conditioner. Maybe the oil if it’s a very good day. 😉 Thanks for sharing! 🙏🏽

In my experience, protein makes your hair feel very hard, dry, and almost on the very of snapping so you have to use something extremely hydrating to balance it out. If you plan to use protein in the future, I would use your most trusted hydrating conditioner and then you'll see the after effects once you wash it out.

The massive tangling issue could still be an issue as a result of the PT. I find being more cautious about the kind of protein I use lessens the tangles. Keratin is a no for my hair.

I’ve never commented before but I just wanted to say that after you used the rice protein you were supposed to use the deep conditioning mask not the reconstructing mask. The reconstructing mask is not a conditioner It’s a protein treatment. On the back of the jar the reconstructing mask says it’s not a conditioner. Just wanted to clarify why your hair still felt bad after using it., because you put protein on top of protein. You use the reconstructer on the days you don’t use rice water treatment. Love watching your hair journey.

The unbrush is incredible. It reduced my hair wash routine down to a half hour. And I don’t have to detangle or pre-poo before I get into the shower either. Also washing my hair with diluted organic apple cider vinegar ‘with the mother’ has also made detangling my hair a breeze and cleans my hair and scalp without stripping it.

My hair is protein sensitive. One time I had to cut two inches off because a protein treatment made my hair “seize up” and tangle so badly. Disaster. I learned never use a protein treatment unless my hair tells me it needs a protein treatment which is about 3 times a year. And I don’t leave it on long. Like 3 - 6 minutes.

I think the outcome should be credited to the treatments used. I believe that’s the reason the lotion worked so well. When I used both treatments (at separate times), my hair felt so strong and my 4c curls popped too, it’s like the protein treatment bonded and tightened my high porosity strands. I didn’t get the hard feeling, my hair felt so strong after the rice treatment yet soft and shiny, and the shrinkage was even more so, making it more healthy looking and curls restored leaving more definition in my curls. The rice treatment was my favorite in the line. I may have needed that treatment which is probably why I didn’t have a bad experience using it, however, I know not to use it too close together to avoid protein overload and really have hard hair for real. I love the setting lotion too and it’s my second favorite in the line. Your hair is absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed all the products, my 4c hair loves it.

Such beautiful hair. I totally understand how you need so much more of step two of the rinse. Maybe you really did not need protein, but you do typically need to add a great conditioning treatment after use. I wonder how the reconstruction protein treatment will work in your hair without the rice treatment. Definitely too much protein in too short a period. I went about 8 weeks between trying them. Definitely loved the reconstruction so much more. The shine and hydration I felt after my wash day was chef’s kiss! I’ve had a tough time finding a line of products I love since my favorite was purchased by Revlon and then ruined. I’m hoping the conditioner will be super hydrating. The deep conditioner doesn’t make me feel my hair is as hydrated as I’d like. I’ll see how it works over time. Thank you for the review!

Miss Ma'am, you're gorgeous. I'm glad I found your channel. I prefer your live speaking over your added audio. 😅 it's hard to listen to dubbed talking with what one could call 😩 all throughout the video.😇 Your live facial expressions during each process was surprise and delight. It's ok to enjoy something and give details on what you enjoyed. It seems you want to revise history. 🌷🌷 You have a ton of hair so any wash day with deep conditioning treatments is probably exhausting for you.😢 You should have a family member to help you detangle during the hydrating shampoo. That slip looked so good on your hair. I've seen reviews where folks comb through during that time and then finger detangle the other applications. If you do it that way, you'll keep that definition. Also after shampooing, use the moisture repair and it's partner deep conditioner like the bottle says for under the dryer. The moisturizing lotion most girls end up not needing that much of it. But it and then the oil looks amazing. I hope you use this approach on your next wash n go videos.🥰🥰

If you don’t understand how something works, how can you give a review on it. Any, and I do mean any protein treatment will make you and anyone's hair feel hard and dry. That's what it's supposed to do. Take Apogee, that protein treatment literally makes your hard crunchy hard especially after sitting under a hooded dryer and then once you rinse it out and use the conditioner your hair is super soft. You can't rate a product as not good when you don't even understand how it works.
