‘I was wrong’: Ben Shapiro reveals why he changed his mind on Trump

Conservative commentator Ben Shapiro has revealed why he changed his mind on Donald Trump after originally criticising him in 2016.
Ben Shapiro sat down with Piers Morgan to discuss the former US president ahead of the election this year.
Mr Shapiro told Mr Morgan his criticism of Trump’s ability to govern was “wrong”, but his critique of the political figure’s character remains the same.
“Now, one of the things that I was wrong about with regard to Trump is, obviously. He governed much more to my liking in terms of actual policy than I thought he would, based on his campaign,” Shapiro said.
“His campaign in 2016 was sort of all over the place … you know, it was in one place on an issue and then five minutes later another place on the same issue.”

So he actually likes Trump now? Is this for real, or is it to keep his listeners happy so he can continue to charge $100K to spew nonsense at his speaking engagements?

And MAGA lately found out that only 2% of the supporters at his rally could not ace the dementia test, as Trump stated in his speech. They are also finding out that Trump campaign PACs where used for funding his lawyers and paying legal fees of some witnesses in 2023. These funds were donated by hard working Americans whose money was understood to be used as 2024 campaigning money for Trump. Guess they'll have to sell a lot more t-shirts, caps, flags, cards, gold coins and yes, Trumpy bears to support Trump who has often boasted of being a billionaire.

I agree. Shapiro does not have the character to get past his own ego and see that Trump is a man of exceptional character, a unique and historic individual. I agree! My dad, and a few men in the family spoke like him. To the point, blunt, and it was the way they spoke. Now my dad was like Trump in that he was blunt, said what he meant but he was also very funny, but he had a soft side that he allowed few people to see. But you knew it was there and as I got older I knew exactly how to get him to show that soft side. He was a man of integrity! He did love woman too, but once he was married he was a one woman man. His soft side. Because it was always there towards people who looked. But some people are just basically can o ly see on the see face of people. That type of person imo are the ones who are kind of shallow. The reason they can only see one layer is because they themselves are one layer, selfish. They just Can’t imagine anyone could be multilayered. Or they just to self invoked they can’t take the time to see passed what the person presents to them. I love to see people tell me the truth and says wha they mean. No guesses and no fake person. Trump is that! I think all Presidents should be that way. Smart, wise, calculated, always playing chess not checkers in their mind, they will be blunt, they won’t kiss your butt, they will tell u what u need to hear not what u want to hear.

My thing is: Trump had his chance.... Biden had his chance... Both of them wasted their chance and caused some form of issue... Both Trump and Biden nearly sparked WW3 in their presidency. If we backtrack now our country may never recover... We have to look forward to improve... We have to move from the past to secure a future... We need someone like Ben who can break down its country to it's core issues and work from there to build us back up not someone that Ben endorses. We need someone that thinks like Ben... That has a mind like Ben... and the only way that happens is if Ben runs for presidency himself! We are supposed to be the most powerful country in the world and our leadership has been weak for almost a decade... Our society has been tearing itself apart... We'll be a third world country before the century is over if it keeps up like this... We need someone who can restore the values this country was founded upon. We need someone who can save us from the mob of mentally ill who keep trying to worm their way into the constitution...
