Dude my hyperfixation on this game ended like 6 months ago but I still watch every frost upload and also become filled with the urgent need to murder a building with children's trading cards.

My Signature Move is dying to the first mini-boss, floor 1, 10 times in a row.

I think the reason why signature move is okay is because the watcher can pull energy out of her ass and get all of her attacks out of her hand. It's also easier to get rid of one type of card rather than only have one type, (yeah I dunked on clash in a signature move comment)

yeah that’s true. it may just be because i’m trash, but i usually end up with a deck that has more energy than cards to play when i play the watcher

Signature Move has definitely been slept on by some of the bigger StS streamers. It's weird to have a build-around card that's only useful for acts 1 and 2, but it definitely provides the necessary payout to make it interesting.

In my opinion it's like Grand Finale but more reliable.

I enjoy these runs. I also can't help but chuckle when someone tries to backseat and Frost immediately calls them out. Like, he even mentioned his reasoning. Cmon chat.

Saw your breakdown of that Reddit post earlier… dude you gotta ignore that kind of bullshit, you are a GREAT, entertaining content creator. Some people just have a very dry outlook and don’t get good humour!

Situationally good, yeah. Sometimes you get a pile post-pandora's that just has like one or two attacks and one of them is Sigmo. So you get on the Sigmo grindset. Jorbs has got me removing defends on Watcher early before attacks, and that habit does not align properly with taking Sigmo in the middle of the act.

If you think, signature move is that good, how about a seeded pandora's box run with 8x Signature Move? Yeah, thought so.

@@Ersilay I mean… Pandora’s Box seeded swap into a bunch of Clashes could be really good. With full Clashes, that’s guaranteed 70 damage by turn 2. Unless Bash is your last card (~9.1%) that’s 92 if you draw it without Bane and a full 113 if you get Bash turn 1 and don’t draw Bane turn 2.

@@Ersilay I doubt a deck that pandoras boxed into a bunch of clashes would have any problems completing a run. Just requires a lot more restraint when adding cards...

Finally beat the heart on all four characters, thanks to your vids let’s gooo!

I always keep an eye out for signature if I get a bunch of removes on strikes early, or a bunch of pressure points. It can let you be suuuuuuuuuuper greedy for scaling if you get it working early because it solves so many fights with just one wrath trigger. Plus watcher has a way easier time than other classes getting the energy to play out all attacks in hand. Get a calm start, and down to 3 strikes? Good to go.

Breaking News: Another good Watcher card found, this makes yet one this year Also, having two signature moves is interestingly bad, considering you want to have them in your hand, but having both of them in your hand prevents you from ever playing either of them

It's more about how signature move is an uncommon and watchers Commons are busted so usually by the time you're offered one you either already have a good deck or one that can't support it.

Signature move is actually stupid broken, I had a run where I had 14 strength starting and the relic that applied vulnerable to every enemy.

Gave me flashbacks to when I almost got banned from a friend's chat for backseating, when I mentioned that there was an area where the enemy she was having trouble with would take environmental damage. I was the go-to chat expert on the game, and environmental damage wasn't a thing up until that point in the game too. Like, 3 good reasons to let it slide before I do petty shit like being a guest

Hey Frost, you're great!

Signature Move =/= Clash. The difference between all attacks and no attacks is so big in terms of usability, and the watcher has a lot of zero cost attacks and energy manipulation. It's not uncommon for you to be able to play your entire hand, and 30-40 damage for 2 mana, on a class that can often double or triple that damage, is decent. The card isn't insane or anything, and you never really want more than one, but it's not F tier. I'd give it a solid C, maybe low B.

Signature Move hits like a truck. But it's a very niche card. You won't want to put it into 90% of decks because it can be hard to pull off (Not as hard as say, Clash or Grand Finale) and thus would clog up a deck that often wants to be drawing into stance dancing cards. Of course, certain things can help with its playability. Such as Deva Form (Since you can just play your entire hand anyway), Nunchucks, Happy Flower, Secret Weapon, Forethought etc. So yeah, it's not a good card, but it's not Clash.

In the Donu & Deca Fight, why does Frost target Deca first and not Donu? I’m just curious because I would have instinctually gone for Donu first (since Watcher has enough damage but not always enough block), but I’m not that great at that fight and Frost obviously knows better than me, so I want to improve

With Donu Deca fight, it's all about dealing with what's worse for your deck. Deca hampers draw heavy deck who needs to get their valuable cards as fast as possible. Typically these decks are rather thin or energy intensive. So 4ish dazes by turn 4 is a lot. Especially when the dazes are added directly to the draw pile. Donu is a more general hard slow death by strength scaling. Some decks can handle the dazes but can't handle the scaling Donu does. These are generally slower thicker decks with either a lot of valuable cards to use which minimize the effect of dazes or you scale faster than deca with a lot of low cost cards affected by your scaling. In this video's case, watcher has great damage but has relatively weaker draw hence deca is higher on the kill list than docu. Scrying, gamblers chip and scrawl with frozen eye provide immense value in terms of planning future turns. Which aided in judgement of which one to kill, but the 4 dazes are worse than 6 str. Tl;Dr watcher kills shit within 6 turns so Donu won't do much in scaling.
