This is brilliant, A friends son is very tall and big built but quiet in p7(UK) after being bullied all school he hit back. The teacher called our friend in and the head teacher said what do you have to say about this. Our friend said nothing. I’m taking home to get a new computer system game. I’ve told you all that one day he will hit back. Now he has and you want him punished “No chance “. Good for you. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

@Angela Murray my parents always taught me to put bullies in their place, even went as far as to tell me that I would be rewarded if I got suspended. One kid was flashing a light in my eyes on the bus and it pissed me off, so I open palm punched him right in the nose. To he fair, I was only trying to slap him, but he turned his face toward me 🤣🤣 After my saturday school (as punishment) was completed, I legit was taken to my favorite breakfast joint because I stood up to a prick.

Absolutely agree. I've been slightly bullied, but I feel like I've been endowed with extreme empathy for others, and it breaks my heart every time I hear about someone who hurt themselves or committed suicide because of bullying. Soooorrry I don't have empathy for the dried up gum stuck to the bottoms of restaurant tables that bully helpless kids. If you can defend yourself, do it. It's not worth sitting in the dark waiting for someone to care when no one will. God, I want to break every bone of every bully.

I know someone who was physically bullied so bad that They were almost lit on fire in front of the damn teacher and when that didn’t happen that same bully took a two by four to the back of the bullied kid’s head. That person snapped and took a crow bar beating the shit out of that school bully. Fuck around and find the fuck out, sadly the person who was bullied now suffers with PTSD depression and anxiety. Why do you think there’s so much gun violence? kids who have been bullied have reached their god damn breaking point and no one steps the fuck in to kick the bully out of school.

The first story is just beautiful! Here's the downside of being an antagonist, you can't predict, control or regulate how someone is going to retaliate against you

All of this has a mental and physical toll which led to a lot of depression. The main issue is that the bully could've had serious injuries. They could have snapped their neck and died or become paralyzed. The reader meant this when he said devil's advocate. Edit: just so we're clear i was also severly bullied for my weight. When i was in 8th grade i weighed close to 100kg but now i weigh around 79 kg which as per my height is a good weight (6'1') i did get into fights but i would have never ever thrown a person over the balcony.

Then it is deserved because the kid being bullied could have committed suicide, or become a complete shut in drug addict that takes the mental issues caused by the bullying out on their parents, siblings or friends. There, equally bad "what if" scenarios that make the tossing off the balcony justified. Why do we always feel the need to wait until after the worst case scenario for victims of bullying, before serving their rightful justice?

Perhaps such extreme consequences will serve as an example of what not to do or not allow to happen and for the next potential bully or their enablers to think twice about repeating the mistake of their predecessors or if they value their well-being and/or their lives they'll not try bullying or allow bullying in the first place after seeing the consequences.

The narrator has obviously not been bullied even once in their life. Dude! The op had every right to do what he did. Don't defend the bully! He deserved it!

As a massage therapist, the safety of the client is more important than making the money. He wasn’t the jerk and his co-workers should understand that he was thinking of her safety.

I nearly killed myself because of bullying and the teachers hardly did anything about it until I had about half an hour left of my life. I had no idea teachers could get fired for not acting on bullying.

To the person asking about the college money. Tell him no. If it was the husband's I bet he'd say no if you asked I have actually signed a prenuptial because my fiance had the same thing happen to her father. I'd never ask her for that money.

Story 1: Always remember kids and bullies....people have breaking points and when that point breaks, they will snap, and when they snap, you are very likely going to get hurt and messed up, and when you do, you are very much going to deserve it. OP is by no means a jerk here and he didnt go too far at all. I laughed like the Joker when i heard JerkFace got messed up, his dad got arrested and the VP was fired. Any teacher or school admin that turns a blind eye to bullying like that, especially physical, should not be legally allowed around children and schools. Glad the OP stood up for himself finally and became a de facto bodyguard for other kids getting picked on. Story 2: The grandpa is awesome here. Stupid people do stupid things when they are stupid drunk and grandpa wasn't taking their crap at all here.... especially on a wedding. Good on grandpa! Story 3: I absolutely HATE people like that guy in the "overcompensation vehicle" here. I get that all disabilities are different and aren't all noticable, but if you dont have a placard or permit... GET OUT OF THEM!!! You are among the biggest douchenozzles out there. Story 4: I can see both 'yes' and 'no' to being a jerk here. While the OP isn't intentionally targeting that very heavy person, well over 400lbs here, he did have the well-being of that person in mind here with almost exceeding the weight limit. If the heavy person had gone onto the table, and it had broken and the person fell or get hurt, then things could've been even worse. Safety first people. Also, i think the OP could've given a bunch more options for the heavy person here. I think that would've been acceptable. The hate that the OP got from the colleagues is a bit harsh and unwarranted. This whole thing was really an unfortunate no-win situation. Story 5: Screw the OP's parents here. Being LGBTQ or anything "not straight" isn't a lifestyle, but who the OP is, and they fact the OP was only given 5 minutes to pack up and leave is just sick and appauling. Now, because the parents are in a tough money spot, they are going to pull the "we supported you" card and just forget about kicking the OP out? No way, screw that. OP is neither being selfish or cruel and the parents didnt even deserve the time on the phone much less any help. Story 6: Yeah, the OP can be seen as a jerk here by simply saying "Just stop" when the attendant was apologizing. He could've added something like "It's all good" or "it was an accident, dont worry"... anything. I get that it was a probably a big inconvienience here, but choice of words and the tone can go a long ways here. Story 7: OP is definitely not a jerk here, but the new husband is certainly coming off as one. I can see why he may have sour grapes here and want things to be somewhat equal for the step-siblings here, but the OPs daughter should not have to share it with her step-siblings at all here, if she doesn't want to. If the daughter does want to help out a bit, then great, but if not, she is not required to do so both legally and morally. The new husband is the one being selfish and a bit greedy as well. Story 8: The 14-year-old OP is WAY more mature then those parents are and by a long shot. Calling the police, as a wellness check was absolutely warranted here, especially if there may have been bad weather and they just didnt respond at all. All they had to do was respond in some way... even a half-assed reason or excuse, and all of this would've been avoided. Something tells me that those parents do stuff like this often with other babysitters. The kind that'll say, "we'll be back in an hour" and will be gone all day and night, and not care about the sitter or their own kids.

in my honest opinion, 3rd story i believe is the handicap parking one: if they have proper tags, even if it doesnt look like they have anything wrong with them it still doesnt mean much. i dont have handicap tags and am perfectly fine, most days. sometimes one of my knees will act up and i will be in pain for about a week, bad enough that i need the assistance of a cane to get around. if you were properly evaluated for handicap tags, then you're cleared.

Spill's story: OP doesn't have to be nice toward the spiller, he is only required to be civilised and he was. He doesn't have to listen to the apology and make the spiller feel better. Not the best way to handle it? definetly. She felt bad for the spill and apologised, now if she did to make him feel better she wouldn't have felt resentment. Too bad she was apologising to feel less bad about the spilling and resented him when he wasn't interested and was already fixing his problem without the need to also cater to hers.

The issue I take is that the table takes 495 she was 460 that’s a big difference still so it could handle her weight. Yes he was worried it wouldn’t so that make me wonder was the table old? Did it have any other issues? I feel like the actual was more to it then his worry for her. The way it was said at the start feels off to me. But that might be because I’m fat and have never been turned away from a massage. Also maybe have a thing on their site and other places that states a weight limit they take so this group could know before getting there. It’s nice that the friends went with her but also sucks for the workers that lost bookings.

@@ashlearhodeskim3112 Thing is this there was a 30 pound difference. That difference requires exact pinpoint use of pressure to not go over. That is just not something worth risking. Remembering massaging is not just technique but also about adding abit of pressure. Pressure that, possibly, could of become an issue and if something happened put OP and/or the business in serious danger. As for the weight limit thing. This may sound rude but about 500 pounds for a one person table should not be needed to be stated, imo. If it needs to be stated then honestly I feel there is a way bigger issue at play.

@@DanielGonzalez-qk6sd I can see that point. But as someone that has had them done no one has even put 30 pounds of pressure onto me ever. You can even ask for them to be softer it doesn’t always have to be someone putting their whole weight onto you. And many things and services put weight limits on their services. I know because as a fat person I check before doing things. Also height since I’m 185cm tall. Should I lose weight and others sure. Is it always as easy as people say it is nope. With health issues before weight gain it makes it a bit more tricky but I know I sure as hell have dreams of no longer having to worry about weight limits. It can be so embarrassing. I had surgery last year and had extra swelling for months after and got turned away from rides because belts wouldn’t fit over the swollen area. Though probably shouldn’t have been going on rides when my body was still healing 😂

The weight one. Tbh it depends. As someone who commonly has done physical activity, pinpointing the amount of force I put out is not something I can do. Now sure I am not a professional. But if you give me a 30 pound wiggle room that could risk a lawsuit should something happen. I am going the safe rate and just not risk it. Its like driving on the highway. If you got free road can you go up abit above the speed limit? Sure. But is it worth the risk? Eh depends on the person. Some say yes, some say no. OP said no in this case and tbh I think that’s fine.

Wholeheartedly agreed with what he said you should use physical strength as as a last resort when all other fails that way you can't get into much trouble for self-defense

There is 4 words to live by when it comes to bullies " eye for an eye ".

No way in hell that the Massage guy is a jerk. The lady could have caved the table in if she was above capacity. She could have been impaled by a metal piece or sth. THAT would definitely ruin her fun day. He was very considerate of her. He even double-checked to see if she had a chance to enjoy what she paid for. Those fellow employees are jerks for bashing him when his full concern was safety. Would they rather they'd have had an injury or death on his hands?!

To story 6: I would even be relieved if a passenger said "Just stop." after such an event because it would tell me (depending on the body language) that it's just not a big deal.

They may have forgotten the definition of disowning their kid: the kid is estranged from the family.

I am one of the few and far between "responsible 14-year old's" and I am very fortunate that the family I babysit for i competent and and actually answers my texts. I hate it when people tell me off because of my age. This get's even worse when you factor in a condition I have that makes me look a lot younger than I am. I get so fed up with people who act like this because I definitely have better critical thinking skills than most adults. I secretly take joy when someone is being so set that they are objectively better because they are older, and I then put them in their place because a problem arises that requires someone with a functioning brain to solve. Many people would think this is just kids that are older than me, but no, it's adults nearly half the time.

I was bullied because of my weight too... But not just 1 person it was an evil trio... My father is in the military and he lectured me to only unleash my anger if it's necessary... One day it went wrong... Before a PE lesson the 3 of them started the usual thing, so I puched all of them in the stomach and threw them from the end of the changing room to the other end... Needless to say they were all banged up. After that they just got a lecture from the principal but they left me alone for the rest of the primary school.

Househusband story. Errm, the list of housework she asks for is reasonable. It takes an hour to vacuum a whole house, running it around the main rooms is ten, twenty at the most. Then it's ten to minutes to wash pots, I do the pots three times a day, while the kettle is boiling for cup of tea, no time. She's not asking for the vacuuming to be done daily, which is what most of us do, if not every two days, especially with children. I wouldn't like for young kids to be picking up the week old bits of food they dropped previously.

I was a small guy in highschool and got picked on for being short. I got whipped in the football locker rooms and fought alot to defend myself and once I did and was an even fight twice they stopped, other fights in the hallway and after that I stood up to bullies in the younger grades who tried to bully the smaller kids. I left high school at 5’6” 160 lb 6% body fat and joined the military. It does get better just stand up for yourself and don’t be an easy target and have the morals to stand up for people like yourself and you’ll be just fine.

Story 1: Going way too far? Hell no. No standing up against the people who want to make your life hell is too far. The throw guaranteed the OP fear from the bullies. No sympathy for bullies, was hoping the thrown kid would be wheelchair-bound for the rest of his life.

The way I would have put it at that point would have been, "Never start a fight, but always finish it." Which the OP did--even in that encounter Jerkface threw the first punch. Also, OP's father defended the OP against Jerkface's father, not the Vice Principal.

I started watching this video and I was so confused why it was going so slow. Then I realized that I put the video on 0.75 speed 😂

The first story: As someone who got bullied all the way through my time in school, I applaud OP for taking action. So what if the bully ended up with a broken kneecap and shoulder? What I don't get about the narrator is, is that fuck everything, everyone has a breaking point and that's what the bully gets for bullying the OP for eight years. Had that gone on longer, the OP's parents would have ended up with a very bad conversation with the police if you catch my drift.

Not being selfless doesn’t mean you’re being selfish

In my opinion, the first 18 years of your life is your parents responsibility, they should not expect anything in return, but if they raised and treat you well you should repay their kindness

The story with the babysitter reminds me of my cousin going out drinking with his wife at a friend's when the baby sitter who were grown adults got tired they put baby gates up in the kitchen and went to bed with a baby in kitchen by their self. When my cousin found out he was pissed he told them if they got tired they should have called in his night can end because that is what happens when you are a parent. My mom is handicapped. She doesn't look it, but she has an actual handicapped placard hanging on the rear view mirror. If I see someone who doesn't have an official placard or sticker parking in a handicapped spot, I get the urge to destroy their car because it makes me so mad. If you aren't at all physically handicapped, and you aren't in the car with someone who is physically handicapped, STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THAT SPOT! JUST STAY AWAY! DON'T BE SELFISH.

Story #7 really gets me. How is the new husband going to ask for money that he and his ex-wife should of setup in the beginning? I have a college fund for my son along with investments in his name for him. I put the money in, not my wife. I have a step daughter older than him and she's in high school now. If my wife were to ask me to take some of our son's money to pay for our daughter I would tell her no! Because again I had the foresight to get ahead of this early and not wait. I know everyone can't afford to save. But its a practice that everyone needs to learn. So no she's not a jerk if she gives her daughter all of her money provided by her father's death.

That last guy doesn’t owe it to the flight attendant to accept her apology. He wasn’t rude, he didn’t scream, he just didn’t do anything. The person sitting next to them seems to think that the lady is owed the acceptance of hehe apology, like it’s a performative and transactional interaction. That’s not how it works and sometimes people will leave you being mad at you. Move on.

Re: The Education Fund. My roomie and I have been chatting about this, and the point that arose was that it was the mother who decided to remarry and take on two step-kids. We doubt her daughter pressured her mom to do so because she adored this man and his kids! Why should the mother be able to make a choice that takes away 2/3 of her educational money? Also, what if the money had come from an injury settlement for a car accident, where daughter endured a lot of pain and suffering, rehab, etc.? Surely she went through a lot of grief with her dad's death; are we going to pick at what kid of suffering is worth what percentage of her settlement? Nonsense. If the daughter enjoys a warm relationship with her step-sibs, and if she graduates in a field that lets her step immediately into a well-paying job, it would be nice if she'd cut a generous birthday cheque for each to help pay back their loans, but that's entirely up to her.

after hearing about the story about the handicap spot i remembered when me and 2 more friends went to buy a pizza at cosco before going to a party, there were so many things that went wrong since we went in, #1 my friend decided that laws are BS and decides to park in the handicap spot even though we told him he was being an idiot,#2 after we bought and ate the pizza he notices that his ticket for the exit is gone (not sure about the USA since i haven't gone to their cosco stores, but in mexico you pick a ticket from a machine right outside the parking lot before going in, and before leaving you pay whatever fee is you had to pay depending on the time you were in the store), and finally #3 there was a police man instructing a towing truck to remove and confiscate my friend's car. guess who didn't party that night... well it certainly wasn't us since we somehow got lucky and my friend managed to escape the parking lot before the towing truck,which was right beside the car by the way, managed to hook it up to the truck. he is my friend and all...but he's a moron.

There was a big boy in my mom's school when she was a kid. Every single student was afraid of him. Every single one apart from my mom. Do you know why? Because the big boy was afraid of her. Kind of funny since she was one of the smallest girls there.

Story One: I'm sure the bully's Dad probably had in mind how much his Son lost out on by that injury if he was good enough at sports, & I HIGHLY doubt he ever forgot how his buddy let the situation boil over to that point. I was bullied quite a lot for just being smart I was really good at being calm but one day I was being bullied my best friend came to my defence and ended up with a broken foot I felt so much rage and stoped the calm act I proceeded to beat the living help out of them and did with an other bullied I saw
