FYI if you didn't know. If you have a meatball you have 3 laps to fix it. If the race is under 3 laps, like this one, you can finish. If its more than 3, you have to pit even if you can drive the car or you'll get disqualified.

The guy who rammed you from behind should have just taken the inside line, he knows he's racing in rookies, he knows there's a decent chance the guy he's coming up to in the corner doesn't know the breaking point, it's his responsibility to either be able to react or just not take the same line. The fact that he caught up to you on the straight is just another queue that he probably was the better driver and should have taken extra precautions.

watch some videos on trail braking, you'll gain lots of time

looked to me like you hit the brakes at the 2 board, you dont need to brake til after the 1 board in that car so no you were not ROBBED

It is the responsibility of the car behind to safely pass. Not every driver on the grid is going to be at the same level of racing. This is especially true for a rookie series. It looks like his IR and safety rating reflect someone just starting out. The guy behind should have better assessed the situation and been prepared for an event wherein he wasn't going to be able to just run hot lap pace and line. Yes, he broke where you normally wouldn't. But by that point you'd have to assume a guy you are catching a second a lap probably isn't going to be as daring in the corners.

@@themattunger In my opinion, you're both right. After some more practice sessions I realised how much better I could take that corner just by lifting off, not braking, so it was unnecessary for me to brake at that point - although I didn't know that and it was completely unintentional to disrupt the driver behind. But that being said, it is a rookie series and that's where novices like myself learn to race and not everyone's skill level will be the same so it is also the driver behind's responsibility to anticipate that. :)
