yeah your pass on the pink car was off track, you can't drop below the white line. He's on a banked section and has all the rights to the bottom line. You're at fault in that situation.

Once again fun to watch! Nice racing! Qualifying is indeed stressful 😅 first lap just complete it second lap push it. Atleast if you wreck in the second lap you got the first one down. And that was an insane starting position in the corner 😂 we like seeing the accidents etc! We appreciate the organic content when so much online is edited or faked to look better. Your race craft is great when in those tight spots that was a sick watch.

I don’t mind the passing below the line - but you were lucky the pink guy backed off as you didn’t stay left enough after the first part of the chicane - if he’d stayed on his line you’d have both been off.

0:20 the white & blue line there isn't the track limit, you can cut it and scrape that inside wall 😉 0:55 as well, you can go all the way to the left on the second corner as long as there's asphalt. Don't do it between that double right hander like you did, as the camber of the track changes and makes you understeer. When you are in qualifying, aim for your first lap to be slow but sure, you don't care about your lap time, only by validating it. On the second lap, you can ramp up your rhythm, but your first aim is still to complete it clean. 8:50 Nothing happened to Adam don't worry, when you cut a corner you have a slowdown penalty, I'm sure you already know that. But you have to know too that the longer you wait to serve it, the more time you'll have to give back. As he waited an awfully long time, he had to quickly give up a large bunch and got forced to almost stop otherwise that would have been a 45 seconds penalty at the end of the race. 9:20 on the paper that's allowed at Charlotte, but there's kind of a gentleman agreement about not using the apron to pass people you are fighting, as usually on oval tracks that's completely forbidden. 10:30 he doesn't hit you again, he kept his line, you went up too large and hit him, you can see on the cars' positions, his didn't change when you went diagonally straight to him As you are focused on your SR, I'll tell you how to gain some of it basically for free 😉 Laps you do on qualifying sessions are counted in your final SR gain for half the weight of race laps so don't overdrive. Also, SR is calculated with the number of corners you go through, so even if you get an inc, keep driving until the end. Also pro tip, when the race is over, the corners you go through still count to your SR, until the session changes from race to postrace, after that you can total your car as much as you want 😆. To know when it happens, look into your F1 blackbox, which will display in the top left corner the time remaining in the session. After the race, the session will keep going until every car will cross the finish line. When it happens, the countdown goes from whatever time was left to 45 minutes. So keep driving after the race, until the countdown changes to 45:00. Also it is the same in qualifying, as long as the session isn't over, you can still do as much laps as you want, which won't count for your grid position, but will count for your SR. . . Let's give you an example. Consider that you gain 0.01 SR every 5 corners you go through cleanly. It is not exactly how that works but it's for the explanation. The track you drive has 15 corners, and the race is 20 laps long. So in the end, if you don't get any inc, you'll get 0.60 SR (15*20/5*0.01). Now you have the qualy session, where the corners count for half, so to gain 0.01 SR you have to go through 10 corners. Qualy is one outlap and 2 timed ones, so you'd gain 0.045 SR (15*3/10*0.01). Now for a track you go around in slightly less than 2 minutes, when you cross the finish line after the race and you have less than enough time to do a full lap, but you keep driving and manage to go through 10 corners before it goes to postrace. These corners will bring an extra 0.02 SR. And for the qualifying, as you started your lap early enough you manage to do a 4th lap, and thus get 0.015 SR. In the end, compared to a basic qualy and race sessions giving you 0.645 SR, you'd get 0.67 SR. Not a big difference, but a 4% gain for free, and that's like a snowball going down a hill, in the longer term it keeps growing. Note that I simplified all of that so it's easier to understand, the numbers can be larger or the opposite, depending on several other parameters. For a matter of fact, the Nordschleife is known to give a lot of SR compared to other tracks as there are many corners, as long as you manage to stay on the road 😜

Brother you can’t pass below the bank like that, so that is fully on you. Don’t be blaming the pink car for hitting you when you illegally overtook him and then tried to get back up on the bank. Fun racing to watch otherwise!

its not oval racing - surely if he doesn’t get a corner cutting penalty then its considered still part of the track?
