Just so we’re clear. I was told that Steve didn’t have a young audience and certainly didn’t make content that appealed to them. But it turns out he does. The criticism is very simple here. Make adult oriented videos of you want, make child oriented videos if you want, but to mix the two is reckless. I don’t agree with comments comparing Stevie T to Jimmy Savile. Stevie T has not committed a crime. but the fact remains that those comments are out there. And are being made in relation to the content he’s making.

This is the reason we stopped letting our kids have access to KZread. Like many other parents, we naively thought that kids videos would have only kid-appropriate stuff in them. Luckily, we found out before our kids did that there are many creators making videos with characters that kids want to watch, with those characters doing not at all kid-appropriate things. Stevie T has always given me a weird vibe. Good to know my intuition is still working correctly.

@@somekindofdude1130 KZread kids is specifically made for kids from ages 12 to 4 and under, it makes sense why a lot of older and maybe less technologically wise parents would allow their kids access to that kind of material because they simply don't know what's on it and are putting their trust into a large company like KZread to properly vet the content their children are watching making the lives of the parents easier. I had wondered about that as well... I feel like even that people would for sure have an issue with as well... That's why I feel like ol' Stevie t trying to say it was innocent and he didn't mean to blur the lines like that is a pretty flimsy defense. Idk if there is enough flexibility for someone to be able to really juggle both... Those Disney kids have a whole transition process if they decide they want to leave Disney and do regular roles when they come of age... And it is as much for the public and audience as it is for the actor or actress. Whether that's necessarily fair is a whole other topic. But I do feel like even attempting to do both would be an extremely difficult balance to maintain. If the audience even gave you a chance.

I feel like branching out and making kids content is alright as long as he keeps it on another channel separate from his main one. That's my opinion.
I do agree that Stevie should made a separate channel for his kids videos, his children's content doesn't apply to me, it doesn't bother me that I see it in my feed from him occasionally since I do enjoy Stevie T, he was an early inspiration for me when I started learning guitar (this was back when he had like 400k or less subs) and I've watched him all throughout the years. I was proud of him for making his apology vid to Batio. But there's undeniably a change that needs to be made here, for the sake of the younglings, cause if my kid was watching a blippi video (not that I'd be letting them) and then I randomly see an ad for an adult website/store, I'd be pissed, they wouldn't know what in the hell it was, but I wouldn't want my kid exposed to that until I thought they were ready, y'know. Somn needs to change.

I think you need to let this go, while I’m not a huge Stevie T. Fan, I don’t see any “ill will” from him or that “he’s trying to market to a kids audience and introducing adult themes”, he just seems goofy and immature. This is an old discussion, Kiss made comic books and dolls, a lot of young people started coming to their shows, were they supposed to stop playing Love Gun because of that, and disregard the 90% of the audience that are adults and paid to hear Love Gun? People should watch out for the nonces in public and online, but I’ve seen zero evidence of Stevie T. being that. It’s weird to me how some people can be so concerned about very innocuous things, but be completely fine with overtly bad things, especially towards children, like performing all age drag burlesque shows for kids, discussing and questioning adult themes with small children, etc. People have lost the ability to make logical distinctions about where the line should be, they’re fine with people assaulting children as long as they respected their pronouns. It’s bonkers!

Not a low bar to be fair
Whatever he's doing is making him serious money. His house is mcmansion level ridiculousness, yet he seems to always be alone.
Aye man! What site did you use to see his tags?
General comment to KDH... I'm a 40 something aspiring female guitar player who bumped into your videos one day and mostly love them. You do a great job researching, being fair, and providing super interesting content on a range of guitar related stuff that I really enjoy. Keep up the interesting, good work. I tend to skip videos when you bring your friend in, because the tone changes and they are less "learny". ;) But overall, really enjoy your content and tone. I never heard of this Steve T guy, but this was really interesting, as usual. :)
I love these victory laps you keep doing against this dingus.

I wouldn't call it a victory, did I subscribe? No. Did I hear this dude play guitar? No, only him complaining the whole time. No wonder he got no subs.

Does anyone know what is that les paul style guitar on the back? I see it has the open book style head stock

Never mind I figured it out, the logo on the headstock is ibanez in a different font.
To be fair, his first Blippi video isn't really for kids given his jokes in it. Hense why it has comments. However, nothing in his videos is really dangerous towards children. I mean sure he cusses, but those are just words. He could have done a lot worse. Edit: Also, you underestimate the intelligence on some kids. Sure they're no geniuses, but they at least have a shred of common sense in their brain and know what NOT to replicate in what they're watching.
I'm kinda new to the KZread world and this is pretty disappointing but I guess it shouldn't be surprising that this kind of thing goes on. This is good content. You have a new subscriber here.
He did buy a McLaren off of it... So.... Morals < Money
Why would a Jewish adult toy maker be soliciting an all ages, unrestricted account for sponsorship? That’s almost a more important question.
Creating a separate channel for kids would be an easy fix. Tons of KZreadrs have done that, and I really hope he considers it. I don't think many of his adult subscribers would be too thrilled about getting more children's videos on his channel. Comparing Steve to Jimmy Saville is one helluva stretch, though. I know his sort of awkward, immature humor can make people uncomfortable, but I never got the impression that he was a nasty person. He's about as dangerous as a Family Guy episode.
He needs to have separate channels for each type of content because yes it's reckless

Just discovered your channel - keep up the good work in calling out the wrong doings in the guitar community. Especially the victory/Andertons
soon we will be watching a video steve reacting to this ... clever id give you both that
Thanks for making these! You’re definitely in my top 5 KZreadrs. As a parent and musician I agree with everything between the 3 videos.

He used to be very funny in 2016 and before. But now almost all youtubers these days have childish content with alot of anoying memes and editing sadly. I did not know he was getting thus ugly. Thanks for putting that out.
