The lesson here for me is: women over 40 need to be okay with being single and ending bad relationships. No shame. It might be painful but it is less pain and trauma than being in an abusive relationship or one where there is no mutual respect. Love and marriage is not by force, let it go...

Women, a marriage starts and ends with honor & respect, love comes through after honor and respect. Hakuna harusi bibi atanjenga peke yake........if a man talks to you narcissistically, has an affair even during your wedding night, abandons you......what exactly are we waiting for? You are stuck with a FOOL who doesn't know himself and he will never change unless Jesus dies again. Girls love yourself, nobody should treat you like a substandard human being unless you let them. Discernment !!!? True. However in this case, God didnot speak to her through dreams, a feeling or through other people. He sent physical evidence on the evening of the wedding. The marriage should have been annulled, but she went ahead with it to protect herself, her family, the church. .Almost 2 decades later the Church of God has been drugged through the mud, she is still crying her heart out and I am sure her family is heart broken to see her like this. May God heal her.

My conclusion,9 years after walking out of an abusive marriage is,most men don't like intelligent, smart women. It rubs their ego the wrong way. Once you see the reds flags, run for cover. Once you catch your man cheating ,run fast run. Women should embrace singlehood. And to ladies who think being 40 is a curse and choose to settle with any man,my friend just got buried for this mistake. A man can have sex with you and still not love you. Somebody said abusive men will always come back to see if you are still stupid🙄

I am sorry but you said you wanted to protect a church? Religion is the down fall of African women and men. You let a man use you? Where is human dignity? Self worth? Respect? I would liked this woman to talk about LOVE. I think she got obssesed about him. Sorry i am a psychologist not a religious person. I was brought up in very strict Christian family but i left all those fanatism ....all young people use common sense, LOVE, diginity, self respect and put boundaries on your live .... religion will put in hell. She still in love with him and she refused to move on .... what a pity???? Jesus they said he died on Cross dont let anyone crucify you ooooohhhh i beg

I totally agree with you about the religion and the African women and though I like the high respect mum accorded her ex husband the extent of living with him again even after he moved on with another woman is quite a big risk especially of stds and having married another wife Disqualified the man to be a church leader or elder according to Paul in his letter to Titus. The man took advantage of her accomodative nature to abuse her but all that happens on this earth will be paid back right here on earth :the tears for children and an oppressed woman reaches to the throne of God while still wet and still hot

Sammy Ndekei ndekei some times people uses religion in a different way as in her case . She was too obsessed in love n married thing and uses too much "sake of the church " that's her weakness not religion.I am a single mother in a church where single people leave alone divorcee like me get no position in the church but that doesn't qualify me to force myself for marriage in order to fit the small society .

With respect, the dear pastor's story is neither flowing nor making sense entirely cos it's all over the place (almost incoherent). One struggles to understand the account or keep up with her. When one is not comfortable with sharing her journey by leaving out key details, all that's left is a half-baked story full of holes. Rather than educating/encouraging the viewers, it leaves them totally confused. Shiru kindly encourage ur guests prior interview to open up or give themselves time to heal, till such a time that they're comfortable sharing their journey fully. It's a rushed testimony that leaves more questions than answers.

I have realised when you are desperate for a man there are superficial reasons to remain with a man who treats you badly and the real reasons. Her superficial reasons were church and her child but the real reasons was fear, fear of being alone, fear than no one can love you 😍, fear that it’s too late

Fear comes from condemnation. I am not enough by myself. I need a man to love me, choose me, want me and favor me. Christians and church has made marriage an idol that can give you the life of God. And we have been so disappointed. Let’s come to our first love
