Love your videos. Do most my saltwater fishing in south padre and surf fish a bit different. Usually standing in the water with heavy in shore tackle with my finger on the line. I live a lot closer to gulf shores and have been there several times, yet not to fish. Maybe I will bring the boat down for a week and have some fun in the bay and on the surf. Keep up the great work.

I personally enjoy throwing a baited rod and casting with another and if the beach is empty I bait two rods and still cast one. Also, I too buy better (more expensive) gear because you get what you pay for. I'm coming from Bass fishing moving to inshore redfish. I've noticed everyone uses a ton more spinning rods than baitcasters even for techniques I would usually throw on my baitcasting gear for the extra power. Is there a reason why inshore fisherman use more spinning rods or is it just personal preference?

  • @zacharyradford5552

A few reasons 1 it easier to use, 2 easier to clean and maintain, 3 a lot of bait casters aren’t meant to have saltwater and sand run through them so even if you clean them they might not work the same ever.
