I WANTED TO BE A BOY!? My experience with gender dysphoria & why I didn't transition...

Today we are talking about gender because I actually have my very own experience with gender dysphoria that I felt like I needed to share amidst this unlimited gender dystopian reality that we are currently living in. I hope by sharing my story, I can shed a light on the fact that experiencing gender dysphoria does not necessarily mean you will always have it, are for sure transgender, and definitely need to transition. I think a lot of girls who are "tomboys" may feel gender dysphoric due to gender stereotypes and the pressure to fit in. HER habits is here to abolish gender norms without having to change a single pronoun.

you're a wonderful woman. You just felt uncomfortable w the girl stereotypes of behavior. you were a different type of girl. You realising you had that leaning towards being boyish. but you know you are a woman. modifying your genitals would be damaging and prob will not change yr life for better. You are very confident. and I like how you express yourself! Keep being you!! you are awesome

Thank you so much Andruk! I can’t imagine the pain of detransitioning male back to female and having irreversible characteristics from the hormones, such as a deep voice, let alone if something like top surgery was done. I feel like I totally could have been someone to want that surgery back then (if the culture was like it is now). I remember the fear of feeling even more icky in my body before I hit puberty. Kids go through a lot of mental changes as well during puberty because of the hormones and I think that has an affect, in general, it can be a scary thing, you are scared you aren’t a kid anymore cause you’re body is changing and maturing. But I am so thankful I was born in the 90s, seems like there’s pros and cons to every generation. It’s absolutely fantastic that as a society we have grown to accept and not discriminate how others choose to live their lives. But… there needs to be safety precautions, especially when doctors are manipulating children’s bodies in such a drastic way with minimal education and studies on the effects.
