'I want to go home': passengers stranded by Dubai extreme floods

Passengers crowded around airline desks at Dubai International Airport on Wednesday after major delays and cancellations caused by heavy rains.
The United Arab Emirates was hit by what the government described as the highest rainfall in the past 75 years. The rains began on Monday night, and by Tuesday evening the desert city of Dubai had received the average amount of rain it normally gets in a year.
Although the heavy rains had eased by late Tuesday, disruptions were continuing on Wednesday, with Emirates airline suspending check-in for passengers departing from Dubai until midnight

    ​@@mikecahill3989cause in the UK, rain is normal, so everything is Build in consideration of that. In places like Dubai, it rarely rains, but it when do rains, it rains heavily. Since it does not rain everyday, the infrastructure is also not built to withstand that rain.

    There is a drainage system, but this flood was soo immense that even the drainage system over flooded And it took 2 to 3 days for the city to get back on track, atleast what I now of for Abu dhabi. Also take into consideration this an event you can't prepare for, it's the desert after all, and yet the government has done astonishing work to get the city running again.

    I am coming from USA by Emirates airlines stacked in Dubai for 3 days Emirates airlines don't know how to handle the passengers there is no guidance no information no support no food and Water, to get my boarding pass it takes 3 days Emirates airlines staff is very unprofessional and untechnical. thousands of passengers they send only 3 unprofessional person they create to much problems Emirates airlines they don't provide food or water. I reach my distension without my baggages it will take 3 days more to get my baggages. My advice never use again Emirates airlines 😭

    Emirates airlines unprofessional Unhuman there is no guidance no information no support no food and Water, I am coming from USA, I'm stuck in Dubai for 3 days they cancelled my flight 18 times and delays 23 hours I reach my destination without my baggages. Emirates airlines will take 3 more days to find my baggages. Kindly my advice don't use Emirates airlines it's nightmare.
