This would be great but it’s pretty difficult to do a video like that. Individuals vary widely, making some cookie cutter “guide” will make people think “x good y bad” which is a poor way of thinking. There are many time on this channel Derek discusses various things like this and has done podcasts with people in the past about many things. Knowledge changes a lot over time, and such a video could have some suboptimal or just flat out wrong information (not because derek wants it, but cause we learn everyday). The great thing about Derek is how he isn’t afraid to say he was wrong and show how much he’s learned

Im on a cycle to compete in powerlifting, calling it TRT would be a total joke haha. I monitor what I can (daily BP checks, but not full hormone panel sadly) and my health markers have vastly improved since getting on testosterone (superphysiological dosage). My BP went DOWN, and in 3 months Im due for another scan to monitor bone density assuming I have the financials. My mood also stabilized big time. I do daily administrations.

If you want to say its cause of lack of blood work etc, I understand your point of view, to a degree even agree with it, but you honestly have no clue where Im coming from. I care about health to a limited degree. I care mostly about quality of life. I have absolutely zero desire to live to an old age, while simultaneously accept I might live to an old age IN SPITE of my actions bar outright suicide so I want to make sure if I do by some fluke reach an advanced age due to strong organ systems, I dont end up with a crippled, decaying body. Why do I say this? Cause of my own personal traumas from having my dad die suddenly from a heart attack at 32 and watching my grandfather's slow decay into old age and eventual death more recently. Of the two Id rather have the sudden death vibe. So, yea Im not recommending my approach to anyone, but Im definitely owning it.

I feel like the regression of average world wide T levels might be more linked to a larger sample size rather then strictly the decline of levels overall. People who would have been getting their T checked back in the day most likely would have had vested interest in knowing their levels already. Those people were probably athletes and on some level outliers when it comes to natural production in the first place, thus the sample size may have self selected for high levels.

Hamza seems good-willing but he is still quite young and seems a bit confused about life himself. Yes he might be running a self improvement channel and yes some of the things he says make sense, but he is also somewhat indoctrinated in to certain believes about life that can be harmful to people in my opinion. What life is about depends on the person and their goals, his following seems somewhat cult like, not saying it is bad, just saying they appear too narrow and not open enough for lifegoals that deviate from their own. Rather than following the demands of a young man i'd rather follow the demands of my ancestors.

I'm glad someone put it into words. I think though, his type of channel and red-pill content is more a sign of the times for young men. It's a world where embracing natural masculinity is harder to do, so many are lost and are trying to carve an identity in a world that probably makes them feel suffocated. I wince a bit, as someone who was raised by someone born in the great depression, I think the types who like to have greek statues in their profile pics and talk about "traditional masculinity" honestly get a lot wrong. In the end though I think they are trying to move towards something positive, it's just so sad a whole generation of men seem to be so lost they cannot grasp things that should have been taught to them when they were children. Many are being robbed of a proper upbringing.

Firstly: the "cult" following is kinda an inside joke, but even though he is young, in a way that is better, since most of the people who are on self improvement are early adults or older teens, so seeing a young man who gives legitimately good advice, why not follow it? And most of his financial advice isn't specific, so it let's the audience pick the lives and future they want.

When I got sober I got put on suboxone, gabbapentin, and lexapro. I asked my doctor ( who used to work in endocrinology) about my t and she seemed skeptical because I’m 30 but she agreed to look. My total T was 500 my shbg was 68 and my free t was 28. The gabbapentin spikes shbg. I started trt and stopped gabbapentin and lexapro. now my shbg is 54 and my free is 150 shooting for 250. It’s crazy that I was treated for depression for 5 years when I had low T the whole time . I think it is always nice to hear someone tell some of their own experience to back up what is already said. I talked to an endocrinologist who explained what I just said. What you stated is basically a more detailed version of what I said. If one can bind/utilize T better it means their hormonal system is more sensitive to it. Or just look at the youth of today and the extreme amount of female looking faces or the lack of male features. Lots of young men can't even grow a proper beard. Most don't have chest hair when back in the day they did. That little common sense approach already proves him wrong. Men had a lot more androgens back in the day than today and the most potent one is dihydrotestosterone which is actually responsible for looking manly, not testosterone. Testosterone is converted into dihydrotestosterone or estrogen. Estrogen makes you look female. And total t is irrelevant because only free T is biologically active.

Whenever I've had a good phase with success, productivity and solitude I could feel myself being way more energetic and feeling more masculine. Contrary to that, being unsuccessful both in the career and in relationships will impact testosterone levels negatively. It's a vicious downward spiral. One's relatively low natural testosterone levels make you shy, unconfident, low on energy and cognition and make you look underdeveloped physically. This in turn will make you more insecure, resulting in you feeling even more like a complete failure, and as a consequence the testosterone will drop even more. I somewhat believe in the mechanism that once your brain has fully acknowledged inferiority towards other men, which for me is the case, the only logical solution for your body is to produce less testosterone so you won't be confrontational, resulting in a higher chance of survival.

Incorrect conclusion. You never had clinically low T in the first place. When you do, no amount of lifestyle change will fix that. Think of it like Diabetes Type 1 and 2. One happens early on and is permanent (Type 1). The other is a gradual condition that can greatly be effected and often managed with changes in lifestyle, such as exercise and diet. Once you become hypogonadal. lifestyle won't fix that. Although making healthy choice can't hurt.

My Dad is 66 years old. His Total T is 987 ng/dl with a Bioavailable T level of 196 ng/dl (40-240 ng/dl). This is insane for his age. He's lean af compared to most men his age who are overweight

My T levels were probably horrible a year ago and now they are fine (just a guess) but i dont care about that i care about how i feel bcs thats what matters the most at the end of the day

As in everything functions properly and you get morning wood. There is no reason to want more test. It's not like more test will fix all your issues if you didnt have any. I can't believe it. And yes i feel tired most of the time and my sex drive is not the best and i'm cosidering getting some trt. However, here in Brazil you can only find (from trustworthy pharmaceutical sources) "durateston" and "deposteron" that are pretty much testosterone cypionate and a testosterone blend. I can't find better products like enanthate or something like that.

Still within normal range, just on the low side. Anyway, i focused hard on growing my traps and getting my BP max up for about 6 months. And wouldnt you know it. I grew my traps a ton (got to where i could shrug 7 plates per side) and maxed BP at 465. If my natural t levels were higher, maybe all that would be easier but its not everything.

Derek, I have a weird question/situation. My T is really low, like 270 (last time I tested a few years ago and 80 lbs ago), but currently my muscle building ability is sufficient. If I work out I put on muscle. My sleep is good. I do have ED, but recently months something strange happened. I had a series of gut related medical issues that resulted in pretty invasive internal injuries and surgeries. While recovering from the surgeries (both times and they should be done now for good); I was in extreme pain and I would say my body was in a state of injury. My resting heart rate was in the 100's and it would take say 4 weeks for that state to start coming into a better range. But during that 4 weeks, my erections and "fullness" made a remarkable comeback but only during the times my body was repairing. After 4 weeks I went back to what it has been (not good). Maybe this is normal? Anyway I'm going to get my T retested now that I've lost some weight, maybe it's in range now. If it's still under 400 I'll probably do the $450 Marek Panel and consultation. If the T is in normal range and I just have ED I can live with that.
