You should cut half of the post-it when you've finished 50% of that chapter so it gives you feeling that you've accomplished something even though you can't take down the post-it yet.

7:35 -me to me when I tell myself I probably need to lay off the coffee for a while and try water. I can't do chronological order for shit. I think that's normal honestly. Your tshirt in the last segment is basically my mood for 2018. Please tell me you'll consider beta readers for this book. I have a lot of past professors and writer friends who would recommend me. honestly, I was really pumped for nanowrimo but then I got sick the last week of October (and for the first two days of November) and that completely messed up my planning. On the bright side, I realized a critical reason for one my character's moving before my book while I watched Frozen (which I haven't done in forever).

For example, I’ve been writing a novel about witches-but I lost the desire to finish it. So what I did was rewatch The Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina and the motive came all back. You’ll do great! I've never finished writing any sort of story but I already know my SO SO SO FUN!!! Writing habits like I'm a pantser and I'm fine with that I just get to board when I'm writing something that I previously outlined, anyway.... even though I'm a pantser I still jump around like crazy. Most of the time the way I come up with a book is I randomly thought of a scene that be a fun book. But it's ALWAYS in the middle or near the end of the book and it's so annoying!!

Kat, I feel like you need to take a longer break between drafts! When I finished the first draft of my book I was so excited to start the second draft that I plunged into it after a week. I got through two chapters before I realised I didn't have the energy or motivation to revise yet and ended up leaving it for two months then writing a really great second draft which I actually found enjoyable to write! If you can, why don't you try leaving it a little longer - even if its just 3 weeks? Don't burn out!!! You can do it!!

Kat maybe it wasn't the most productive of writing weeks but it was definitely an intresting Vlog. Seeing the pitfalls along with the successes is extremely helpful

I have found that the more I plan something out the more it tends to go off the rails. The problem is I am by nature a planner and I freak out when the plan falls a part. I really want to be more Zen and just try to go with the flow, but I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon, just ask my wife. (Though I would like to think I am doing better.)

Kat, the video wasn't bad at all. In fact, I loved it. I laughed a lot through it, you're so funny. Don't beat yourself up, I am about 6,000 words behind already lol but you did Nano in October and we all know it :-) Enjoy your month and take breaks when you need to. You're awesome!

Lol, Kat, I love you, but every time you say "I'm going chronologically" we all know how it's REALLY going to go XD No shade haha! I suck at chronological writing too. Jigsaw writer till the day I die lol. OH MY GOD your election day rant is a MOOD. I tried to write before the results started coming in...a mistake. I was already to jittery lol. RIP my word count. And same about being a crappy travel writer!
