It’s nice to see someone as enthusiastic about earthworms as I am. I can’t leave a worm on the pavement, I always have to re-locate it somewhere where it won’t get dry or trampled, and doing this almost made me late for a test (my train to college got delayed, but saving little wriggling lives is more important to me than a psychology essay).

If you go out to your yard on a warm night listen for a little bit of leaves rustling or look for little mounds that have debris buildup like twigs leaves and dead grass. And you'll find your worms. Usually about an hour or so after sunset. Unfortunately I figured this out last yr in my garden. And now I hear them all the time out at night. 😁
