You should make some personal best type challenges. Maybe use a random number generator to pick how many cleared levels during a run would be a "win". Another commenter said "get 40 or 50 lives during a run", which I think would be neat. You could also do an Expert deathless challenge where you try to clear 10 levels or so to "win". Outside of a run, I also really like your videos on SMM2 Uncleared Expert - I think it works really well with SMM2 in particular, since you don't have to worry about lives. You could also maybe add a countdown timer where you have to clear 6 uncleared levels within the allotted time. I dunno, just throwing some ideas out there since I know one of the things you liked about SMM1 was that there was a resolution in beating 6 levels. But, just because SMM2 doesn't have a built in "ending", it doesn't mean you can't create your own unique ways to win - and they could change episode to episide. For the content!

What's the definition of a "safety coin"?

When there's a red coin challenge, there's usually an extra coin to prevent people from collecting all of the coins, getting the key, and then dying. If you die after getting the key you go back to the checkpoint and won't have any of the red coins and would have to play the level over. The safety coin gives you the key right before the ending to prevent key death.

Any red coins obtained before a check point are retained upon restarting from a checkpoint. However, if you die *AFTER* getting the key, you lose ALL progress and have to reobtain all coins, again--defeating the purpose of a checkpoint. Safety coins are offered right at the door, which (in theory) leads to another checkpoint, or the end.

my guess for the one at 21:00 would be you pick up the spring, move it to the left, get under the far left cannon, crounch, survive, and then get pushed out to the left and get on top that way. Don't know if you have enough time for all that, but that is my guess. looked like you had enough time to do it to the right, so probably had enough time to do it to the left

looking at that dark level in the level viewer, it seems like a hot mess, way too long and elaborate. no idea what he intended with that.

You can tell that this game and the levels are made by geniuses and for geniuses. There are infinite ways to say where to throw the spring that would help, and just two ways to do it in a way that will fail because you know it can never show up unless you already know what to do And when it did show up the level was won and the comment was still mostly off screen and the arrow was pointing at the period on the right side of the word here under the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th cannon. The levels of dumbassery on that comment are impressive. 8 lines and an arrow at the goal would've solved it. One of the simplest solutions would just to draw a right angle to represent the left side of the screen and point an arrow at that. Want me to ask my 3 year old for more solutions that would work. She's drawing some right now. I like the upside down T with a |X| cutting through the bottom right of the horizontal bar. She's right you know, it would work on all cannons but the 8th because you can't stand inside the wall.

I've also seen Ryu clear * a lot* of SMM1 100 Man runs with 85+ lives, so...I mean, it wasn't as difficult as you're making it seem. Sometimes it was tho.

I mean, factually incorrect. I don't speak japanese but that one guy had "S+" in his title, meaning at the very least you got that one wrong/excluded the S+ for some reason. Another comment translating them said it was "Brutal/demonic 10 second speedrun to commemorate reaching S+" which makes a lot more sense. Still good on you for trying to help people understand these.
