Thanks dude, straight off I've noticed I definitely need a lighter gauge strings and avoid using the fingers that cause pain.

My hubby takes Leflunomide for his RA, it really helps. Glad to see you back, I've missed your guitar stuff.

So sorry to hear you are suffering from what has ailed me for years. Be careful with pain killers - they fool you into thinking you can still play fine but the damage you do accumulates if you overdo it. I am down to half an hour a day as I overdid it in the past. Love the Tele . Take care and rock on (with care !).

Oh yes I'm very wary of what painkillers can do, I know when I'm over doing it. I have trouble with wrists and elbows shoulders too, plus every other joint in my body 🤣 I'm not a big fan of pharma drugs so see what the quacks prescribe. Thanks mate.

Similar issues with some of the joints in my fingers. Had a bit of luck with eliminating certain inflammatory causing foods in my diet. Oh the joys of getting old.🙄

Unfortunately mine is a little more advanced and chronic

Hope you get it under control. Django Reinhardt did OK with two working fingers on his fretting hand, but I wouldn't want to have to try it.

The Jaguar probably has a shim not placed properly. Probably needs a tapered full pocket shim.

I definitely feel for you. I have that same problem with my fingers at times. I have never been able to play guitar properly because of a combination of my fingers and my eyesight, so I play with my weird one finger method and still have to swap which finger I use often. Apart from being unable to play chords, I manage to play lead in my style with just one finger. May be worth you giving it a try to keep you feeling creative.

@@theguitarmanifesto It is definitely a way to play that is easier on the fingers if you ever feel like playing but your fingers don't want you to. It does force you to play in a different style though which may or may not be a creative spark also. I hope you get things sorted out so you are pain free.

You should do a red tortuous pick guard with that purple Strat

You know that was my first thought, I built a purple Mustang a few years back on the channel with a tort guard looked awesome.

Good range of guitars to show us. I'm currently eyeing Jaguars myself (shorter scale for my smaller hands), but also I've never had a Tele and drawn to them too. Looking forward to developments ..and welp wishes for your health. Arthritis is such a bummer!

Sorry to hear about your health issue Rob. I had a motorcycle accident due to poor road repair or a lack thereof and injured both hands so I can relate. Hope you get better. I have about 15 guitars, lost track lol but no jaguar yet, Il need to get one.

Awesome Strat love the color I seen this video when it came out but couldn't lift my arms for months to type to tell ya sorry to hear your in that pain! It Sucks you have the arthritis issues my aunt had that bad she had to move to Arizona to dry weather to help it.. I'm working my way to getting a Squire Sonic Stratocaster in white to make a SRV Strat only thing that sucks is the white Sonic strats have a maple neck SRV's strat had a rosewood fretboard but I can always change out the neck to make my build look close to SRV's Charley and his was Olympic white but regular white will do me just fine for my future build...I feel ya on the meds and how they screw up our body 😂 i just recovered from a collapsed lung I been down for two months 😂 great to see your video and you Manifesto!

Maybe go for the Affinity Strat for your SRV build, if you get a pre 2018 you'll have the rosewood fingerboard. Thanks man, old age is catching up quick! Mix of hard work and a rock n roll lifestyle 😄 one day we'll move to Southern Europe for all year round warmer weather. Ah mate sorry to hear you've have been so sick, it never ends!

@@theguitarmanifesto Hope you beat that pain of arthritis! I can't win for losing Rob 😂 plus the 40 year smoking habit is a bitch to stop! My doctor put me on chantix and I got bad side effects once again from stop smoking meds 😂. The affinity has a nice fretboard definitely I'll see if I can find an affinity one but all I see are the black ones with the hard tail and their white ones have the tremolo system it's gotta be a hard tail one I'm stuck on the hard tail for the build I want and I want to experience a hard tail compared to my fender with the tremolo I have already... ✌️

Oh and one way to fix that neck is let guitar center ship it to me it will bend back correct. Lmao. Hahahaha

Unfortunately for me it's a chronic inflammatory disease basically all my joints are fusing together. The hope is meds will prevent it from getting too bad, it'll never get any better as it is now.

Mate this also happened to my friends' husband but advanced, also a younger guy than usually getting it, like you. She's researching best methods too. Have you tried Omega 3, fish oil and curcuma supplements this helps as an anti-inflammatory. Cool finds on the Squire's!!! you always nab the deals!! maybe an orange pickguard on the strat would be cool and matches your chair!!! cheers! 🤣😂 🎸

DONT HOLD YOUR CELL PHONE! Too much radiation. I kid you not. Downgrade your phone to a 4g at most and minimize your usage. I had the same thing and it’s all gone now.
