I've bought the best Enduro Adventure motorcycle you CAN'T buy! AJP PR7 35th Anniversary edition

I know that is a bold statement, but that is my opinion right now. I think that is a crazy awesome bike for the type of traveling I'm doing right now. So take it or break it, but I'm sticking for it!
AJP PR7, that's the name of it, and the biggest thank you for letting me have it and yes, I did pay my hard-earned cash for it, so no sponsorship ;)

If you are more into racing, then you should look for the so-called "gold" edition they introduced this year. It has the same Ohlins suspension and, I think, they added an Oberon clutch slave cylinder, but this version gonna be a little pricey. But if you are just a fun-loving ADV traveler as I am then the standard version gonna make you and your bank account as happy as it can get :) Good luck!

I love my PR7. You are fortunate to get the special edition. I too went with the Tractionator in the rear and the Rallz in front. I'll stay that way was except I'll be putting on the tube less version on the front as my current one wore out in 9kM and there is still life in the rear. Added heaver springs in the front and back and a steering damper. Added a remote control from Thork for the navagiation display. Replaced the battery with a Parts Unlimited as the OEM would't crank the engine over easy and died early. I think the voltage regulator is dying. Still love the bike. Just discovered your channel and will have a lot of videos to watch. Thank you.

Hey, Thanks for joining and all the thoughts you shared. Talking about the PR7. There is not that much of a difference between Standard and Special editions as you know. Everybody thinks that Ohlins is a GOAT over here, but... I find it way too hard for my riding style and gonna have to do something about it. I think that something in the middle between stock and mine would have been the perfect spot. So, here we go, the rest is just small addons and the decals :)

Wow, that’s an awesome bike! Cool color combination as well. Must be a lot lighter than the Ducati? Ohlins suspension must be really good! Looking forward to seeing on the trail 😎

Thank you! It is a much lighter bike 173kg with a full tank while Desert X is 223kg. It feels strange now pushing easily it around with all the luggage loaded on it. Today or tomorrow I'm finally back on the road so new vids are coming :)

Oh, that bike! It looks very nice, and I like the built-in navigation solution. I'm sure you'll appreciate the weight reduction it provides in Spain and Portugal, as some TET sections there are less than friendly for big adv bikes. Quick tip about the tires: Motoz Tractionator Adventure front has minor stability issues and is phased out in favor of Tractionator Dualventure. I'd try to grab it instead, as it's supposed to be a bit better all across the board.

Thanks much 🤜🏼🤛🏻 I noticed your comment a little too late. So my tires choices is MotoZ adventure in the rear and RallZ in front. I think the RallZ will be a little “grabbier” for the front and might work good enough.

  • @white-rider

I did use RallZ front myself - amazingly lasted me 15k km, but added some vibrations to the handlebars on tarmac. Performance-wise it was average, more suited for dry conditions.

Lovely bike! Hope it performs well for the rest of your trip. Ducati is lovely, was looking to buy one, but the service and parts costs put me off. Also it seems a bit ‘fragile’ compared to other off road focused adv bikes. Safe travels.

Thank you! Same luggage and tent. If you are familiar with MoskoMoto revolver, I did change the setup of it. From position 1 to 3 so the side bags are pointing more forward. I am going to leave the tank bag behind plus leaving my drone and a big power bank back at my friends. Using not enough and trying to travel liter.

Not sure what bike is a Terra 650, but I would assume yes, cause PR7 uses the SWM 600 engine, the same as the older Huskeys used.

Does this China bike have the same trash motor as the Kove?

  • @nemoltu

    @nemoltu

    6 ай бұрын

Well, since you moved Portugal to China, now we have to figure out what is a trash motor? :) That engine used to be in an older Husqvarna motorcycle before the KTM took them over. It's an SWM 600 one and oil changes are every 5K km. How trashy or not they are, gonna leave for the future people to decide :)
