Great video, well done to you for knowing when to quit before you died or got seriously hurt and stuck alone in the nowhere - maybe on gravel or tarmac you are ok on this behemoth but for off road such as TET greece/Romania and other hard ones i have to say that you have clearly over biked yourself in a big way, don't take offence but you should have stuck with the PR7 for such a trip, that already had way more potential than you could give but at least was more manageable for you. The Ducati is more than capable of this terrain i know for a fact as my friend rode it on his but it needs the rider to be in charge and have necessary talent.

Hi i live in Greece+ have 2 enduro + 1 adv bike. Ridden thousands of trails including parts of the TET. In July/August off road riding generally stops because it is very dangerous because of heat.I can see you are struggling even to make a simple turn and constantly saying it is very hot.If you get too hot your body/sweat will no longer have the ability to cool you down and you may collapse with heat exhaustion.Nobody will know where you are unless you use a Garmin Inreach or similar. You have no food ,are tired and exhausted, ride down a hill without knowing if you can get back up it!!The most important thing!! Please people dont try this in the high summer in Greece alone. You need pro instruction for many things before attempting this, not just a big shiny ADV bike and a YT channel. I am NOT being nasty just hoping to save people from serious danger.

Hi Nemo! Thank you so much for the almost live update!❤ I understand it is a lot of work to post it like that, thanks for that! I'm sure at the moment you regret not traveling on the PRJ... 🙂 I travelled for 3 years in the inner deserts of Australia; summer and winter and I know for a fact heat stroke is to be taken seriously; your brain overheats, shuts down and you can easily die...! So take care how much effort/work you do during hot days. Why not travel very early in the morning and than just stop & rest after 13h? I love the outfit & gear you travel with; tent, vest, minimal luggage,... I myself probably would not use so many camera's (you even brought a drone) and put the Motoz tires on a lighter bike and maybe not use the Gaerne's. The Garne's are really safe but you can barely walk in them and I would like something more in between myself. Thanks for showing us the difficulties of off road travel on an adventure "pig" (heavy bike). I use a 2020 Husqvarna 701 Long range myself; not ideal too, but 154kg is less than 210kg... 🙂 Have a great adventure trip and drive safe! PS if you pass along Brussels, coming back, let me know; you can stay at my place here, if you wish.
@nemoltu8 күн бұрын
Het, Peter I love reading your detailed comments. Thanks! This is gonna be only one "almost live" video this year. The rest will come later in the fall. It took me all day yesterday to edit this part, cause I wanna make sure I am not making mistakes. Darn, when my bike was down over there I thought that's it. I nearly even remember filming everything with my pulse hitting 180 bpm. But the lesson is learned. Traveling early in the morning sounds like an option, but I don't wanna set the alarm, cause I am a late-night person. But I see now, where I am going, the temperature gonna hit 40, that means for the nights I will have to move to the mountains. I had the drone even last year, but it was bigger and after using it only one time, I ended up leaving it back in Lithuania after the bike swap. I think that drone brings more fun and a different perspective to the videos. And it is very light ( the mini 4 pro 250g) I just need to master follow mode, cause that causes my brain to scream :D I think I could have gotten away with Gaerne 10th, but my budget is over-stretched this year and I know some travelers that had their legs broken with Alpine tech 7 th. Well better be safe than sorry and I've got used to them even I definitely hear you on that. yep the PR7 definitely would have been a better choice if I could have shipped it here. Only one thing, the purpose of this trip is to get the aftermarket tank installed at the Aurora Rally facilities. Since that is not gonna happen until the 6th of August I've decided to do some crazy rides. Will see how is that gonna work. A huge thank you for the offer! But I will be riding back through Lithuania. Over there we are designing a new sticker set for the bike with the new tank so I have to get there ASAP, after the tank installation. Thanks again and I will see you in the next!

@@nickg2431 Nick, you don't know me, you don't know my past or the circumstances I ended up over here. Your comment is quite harsh even though I admit that I failed. I do not want nobody to ride the way I did and that one more reason this video is here. Cheers mate 🤜🤛
@@nemoltu It would be really helpful if you could make a video at some point explaining what you should have done point by point. A sequence of bad events can mean real trouble.I don't want this to happen to anyone. My enduro bikes have been only on asphalt in the last 7 weeks as Greece is very hot at present. you are alone, not in a group even then its dangerous.please minimum 3l of water.Take care my friend
Take care . Your trip is extremely difficult with these high temperatures in Greek mountains . Many tourists , who walk alone have died this summer due to heat stroke . Be careful
Thank you! I did learn my lesson and thank you for the advice without the negativity 🤜🤛

Too heavy bike for this trial ! However the rider is skilled !
@@stoianovm it sure is too heavy, but only I know that to that point I travelled 4 days, 2500 kilometers and even that particular day I rode 300 kilometers before I even started the TET. Thanks for the comments 👌 I hope I'll see you in the next one!
This was really interesting to watch. I'm looking into riding in the area myself in the upcoming years. And this is valuable to watch. Good trip. Cheers from Bergen 🔥
@@tshansen Thanks Thomas! I met a local rider Dimitri later and he told me that that is one of the toughest parts in the area. Now I'm riding part 10 and it's way easier. Just the heat is killing. Another thing- part 10 would be horrendous in the rain. I work out of Bergen so let our paths cross day 🤜🤛
We all love these challenging parts right ? 😊 Ups and downs are part of it and every failure makes us stronger and keep moving forward. You did well. Enjoy the trip and stay safe 👍
@@CatmanT Agree! The main thing we all learned something together through this video. Thanks!
best TET part from north Greece is part from Komotini city to Kavala city.. Cheers from Kavala !
I did miss that yesterday, but I did a lot of dirt roads with the local rider Vasili yesterday. What a treat area you guys have over here!
That was tough :) Well done
Thank you, Robert!
Greetings from Greece! Whats the model name of that fox jacket seems ideal for summer rides in Greece. Can you do a video review with the riders gears cause i see many things that could help me in adventure riding?
I will try to do that in the upcoming days! Thanks!
@@nemoltu If you have any questions about Greece feel free to ask
@@xrhst0s2114Sure! What's the highest mountain I could ride up via the dirt roads in Greece? Kinda struggling to find the name...
@@nemoltu KALIAKOUDA pass but be carefull dont go there if you dont have instructions from somebody that knows the area thats but they highest mountaint is Olympos the birthplace of Ancient Greek Gods and the dirt roads are plenty . In both cases there are no official passes but you have to find them manually via the maps
@@xrhst0s2114 Thank you! I know some TET routes are going quite high. That's gonna be enough for me. And the Olympus my next destination.
Keep riding safe. Enjoyed the video . Looking forward to part 2
Thank you! The new parts will be coming from some time in September.
Great video my friend!
@@boxerridersgsa Thanks again! And good luck with your big boxer adventure!

Hello friend im your fan i saw you in greece at lydia hotel nice to see you again have a nice day bye ✋
Hey, hello good to see you here! Thank you
Hi Nemo, I’ve been missing your vids. Looking forward to follow your trip. Stay safe brother!
Thank you! Safe is a main word for this trip :)
I have been waiting for this video, since You started uploading photos to facebook storry. 🙂👍🍻
Cha! Dėkingas! but I will be riding as much as possible now without releasing new parts, so I can edit, more videos in the fall :)
@@nemoltu OK, be safe and have a wonderful time!
going with your advice, my friend, rest stop for the hottest part of the day 🤜🤛

That's a good point but it is so intimidating to ride there when you can't see the bottom.

Just change it back when you go to the dealer. It's like 20 min job to swap it back.

Hey, tusen takk!
Good review. Seat height was only just fine for me... I'm way shorter than you. Great presentation. Your English is great. It's appreciated.
Thanks! I like the seat height, just the foot rests positioning making it a little camped for my long legs, but that's not a deal breaker for sure.
Good to see you enjoy the Norwegian roads as well. The best part about riding in the spring, is that the mosquitos and midgies aren't out yet :) Are you only riding the Ducati now? Looking forward to see your new adventure coming along! Enjoy the summer, and ride safe.
Hey, good to see you back! You are so right about the blood-sucking creatures. It was a disaster last year in Finland and is even worse this year. Went with my truck there and was impossible to stick out any part of your body. Even locals say it's crazy this year. Yes, I ride just my Ducati now, cause that's the only bike I have with me in Norway. PR7 is deregistered cause I can't register it for longer than 3 months since I'm not a resident of Lithuania, so it is back there and waiting for new adventures. This year will be a DesertX adventure. It is getting modified with a lot of new upgrades at the moment. Thank you and you stay safe as well.
The "purpose built" tablet/display on the kove also has problems.... I was interested in one of these but the cramped riding position and the light front when loaded with luggage is a deal breaker for me. The Kove looks a more balance option for 5k less
I am keeping an eye on the Kove myself. But are you thinking about 450 Rally or an 800 one?
@@nemoltu the 450 rally, just came back from a trip over 350km on dirt,2 x koves on trip ,they track really well across tricky/sketchy terrain at speed and are also great on fireroad type tracks
@@nickg2431 How do you like the suspension on it? I've heard it's on the hard side. Good to hear you love it!
