GREAT video, Lojo. That was so much real information. Thanks for the update! You should totally do a series of videos on the whole house /water /renovation thing. That would be really cool. And YES - the pond! I love anything to do with the pond, land management, Darryl etc. Your channel has so much to offer - so many ways it could grow. Godspeed with all of it. :D

As someone who deals the homeowners insurance every day, I can only recommend you read your policy and understand it before you fully commit to a certain insurance company

Lojo, love the channel. I started fishing this last year and even bought my first (bass) boat and fishing gear because of you at 59, so keep going. Love the tips and antics and really enjoy it and the content. I saw you on LunkeraTV looking at property in texas so figured you were looking. I want to move there as well, but like you, circumstances probably won't make that happen. For the pond, you need a center island so you can fish 360 degrees, better camera shorts whether your in the middle or on shore. you can have a fishing "king of the island" challenge where when you catch a fish, you vote someone off the island and they have to swim back to shore.

I was super excited when you were talking about the place in Texas! No worries tho, I know quite well how life throws you curveballs. Pond renovations sounds fun.

By profession, I am a mediator. Most states have an insurance commissioner or other official that regulates insurance companies. They usually will have a mediation process as well. If you'll hire a public adjuster, the PA knows how to handle the claim and get it to mediation. Unless it is just a crazy claim, most are normally handled in mediation without the need for an attorney and litigation.

Man cave treehouse/ blind sounds awesome and as a fellow dad being away from family is very tough. On the short trips to Texas it's ok to go solo but on the longer trips I'd suggest getting an air b&b and take the family along for the experience too. Having them close by always give you more peace of mind and will help relieve a little stress. Keep your head up! Much love from VA brother

It's good to see someone who puts his family first, especially in this day and age. You also appear to be an honest straight forward kinda guy and you videos tend to show that. Your not afraid to fail or atleast mess up on camera, you don't just show the good stuff!, you show it all and that keeps you real and more like just one of the "guys".

You are a real one LOJO, that is why I come here and watch the videos. This video proves it. You put your family first while still trying to succeed. I think moving to Texas would have been the smart decision but there is one reason I am glad you are staying in Abalamer, Neighbor Daryl(or however you spell it). That man is a national treasure and none of us would know about him if it wasn't for you. If you did move to Texas, we would no longer see him anymore and that thought makes me a little sad. I hope you guys get the house fixed up and soon. I totally understand about water damage, my house is in a flood zone so I have to have flood insurance(it is not cheap). I hope to be able to fish and hunt with you one day. I think a floating dock with a small cabin would be sick to make for the pond with a zip line from the tree house. It's not that easy. Most insurance companies do not cover hidden water damage as that is usually a maintenance issue. Some have started to include it, but it is normally an additional endorsement and is up to your agent to offer it, or you to ask for it. Everybody should read their policy jackets for P&C policies. You would be shocked at what coverage you think you have versus what you actually have. Most people are ignorant about insurance until you become an agent or learn the hard way when something happens.

Pike County Lake in Troy is on fire right now. A guy caught two 7lbers and a 8lber in one day recently. The pictures are there to prove it. It is 100% worth the trip there. Can’t be no more than an hour from your place.

Life always happens. We were set to move out of state and buy a house we wanted. But her father needing emergency surgery to have his leg amputated made us stay. Been through court with our current slumlord, while dealing with helping her parents. Water damage can be fixed, hell it's only money, family is priceless. Stay on the right path, God Bless 🙏

As a Vet, home is where the heart is and now a Vet with a family, the travel out of town is a killer even though it’s sparse and only a week at a time. With that being said, Take care of your family and you and we will have your back regardless of where you lay your head at night!

hey man life happens to us all! as for a pond renovation, i have been saying you should do that for i think like two years, with the proximity to the swam, and that low lying area beyond the dam, it would be a lot of work and youd have to either find a spot to dig out or bring in a ton of dirt, but you could easily triple the size of the pond, plus this would let you go through and see the bottom, remove snags and add way more cover for bait fish, and stock the pond with more bait fish and let them establish before adding the bass to it
