Actually most of these types of players treat RDO like a retirement simulator. Fishing, playing poker, “role playing” as a rancher. Chances are they probably do fuck all in GTA online but gamble.

Exactly why everyone was so mad at Disney for ruining starwars. The Disney trilogy could have been so much better. It could have been something truly amazing. Something to rival and surpass the prequel trilogy and even perhaps Kotor too. But no. Instead of doing research into the history and lore of starwars and making movies that expanded upon the universe more... They just rehashed old ideas but worse. Bringing back old characters just for dramatic effect, barely investing any development into new ones, not even bothering to come up with a new antagonist. It's just utter garbage all the way through, wasted potential at it's finest.

Yup I can second this. I been playing since the "beta", which wasn't even a beta at all, and this update is awful. I have probably more experience and wealth on game, not that this matters after three years, but those people still want to lecture you. This update was a bad joke. It's awful. But somehow everyone else is wrong. Obviously.

@@subzu2733 Technically yes but no. The last CAPITALE mission, I hate that word so much now, is on fact a train robbery. But it's is so bare bones it's really no different from any stranger mission. You rob an emerald from a moving train. But there is no difference in robbing a homestead or stagecoach. It's mechanically identical and coat 15 capitale to start. Which takes an ungodly amount of time or pay up 6 gold bars. It's awful. I only done it because capitale was included in the quick draw pass. I would never have grinded for hours on end for that mission.

Blood money looked okay... but I wouldn't know considering I never got past the 50% load screen.

People want to buy guns within 3-4 hours so they can go on and play 7 hours of content at LEAST right off the bat, not the other way around.

Guns isn't an issue for me but the moment I obtain everything.. what is there to do or gain anymore. This new "content" should have had bank robberies even heists like GTA did and stuff to actually buy. Yet we got rebranded stranger missions with no new missions just stuff already in the game to begin with.

As someone who's been playing RDO almost daily with friends as of late, the game is in desperate need of some worth-while content. People who are defending this paltry excuse of an update after having waited for something substantial for months are off their goddamn rocker.

Everyone knows that gta and rdr online is just half ass concepts to have people spend a car in microtransactions.

while GTA 5's story mode and RDR2's story mode have both been left to collect dust. the only time they get attention from rockstar is when they "accidently" add in a 100 different bugs in the story mode from an online update that takes months, if not years to get fixed no matter how small it may be.

Blood Money Update was the official nail in the coffin for the game. I've played for the past 3 years since beta and they never capitalized on its potential. The community held out hope for so long, it just puts such a bad taste in my mouth to think that a lot of it was in vein. I (without exaggeration) believe that the handling of Read Dead online is the biggest failure in the history of the gaming industry when its potential is taken into consideration. There's still a way to shock this game back to life, I have an idea but it's controversial. I think they need to release paid DLC expansions that are around 15 or 20 dollars to download because they're never going to make the money that they want to make from gold bars which gives them zero incentive as a bussiness to keep pouring valuable resources into making engaging content for a game that won't generate profit. They could heavily inflate the prices of everything and decrease the rate at which you obtain gold to encourage microtransactions (like with Shark Cards in GTA) but that will inevitably drive players even further away from the game. I would gladly spend 20 dollars for an awesome Read Dead online content update that rewards the player and Rockstar would gladly produce that content if enough people purchased the expansions. It's the only way and I think it's a great idea because this game is dead otherwise.

It's crazy you say that because if you think about it, back in the day, DLC's were extra content you bought. Ex: CoD Map packs/weapons, GTA IV: Stories of Liberty city, Destiny 1 and all their DLC's, etc. I'm not sure about anyone else, but during that time it was the golden age of gaming. Fans Funded DLC, Studios Created said DLC, fans bought the DLC, and the cycle continued. I agree with you, companies should 100% release paid DLC. However, I believe a protection should be in place so developers can't just shit on a plate and sell it to you.

New expansion coming in another 7 months, it's called the 'CAPITALE' expansion

I've also been playing since beta. I feel like RS is punishing us veterns the most because we have all this gold we grinded. When in fact RS did it to themselves and blame us for grinding. Remember no animal spawns we couldn't do the trader role so I'm sure others started to grind for gold I know I did. Whens the last time we've scene double gold pay out in showdowns oh wait everyone is AFK in these modes grinding gold. I had a 450 daily streak going on lets reset that too because no one is buying gold. This is the major problem I have is when you had mechanics in the game and in your game for awhile and people who are true fans play everyday (I still do) then the company blames you for playing the game they offered. Its the world we live in were no one wants to take responsibility for their actions.

Is it bad that even now, I still hope that Rockstar chooses to focus on single-player content? All I want is an RDR2 Undead Nightmare or RDR1 Remade. But that's never going to happen, is it?

Me aswell mate. I have 2500 gold and ton of cash. Played since beta. I held out in the hope that one Day rockstar would really get involved in this game. They didn't. This pile of wank they gave us was the final straw I jumped over to GTA . Yea it's a kill frenzy but at least there is something to do.all These people defending rdo are mostly new player's but one Day they will realise the truth. If it lasts that long. I genuinely believe this game will be abandoned by rockstar

Can I ask a question, if I only like one, one thing out of the update. Specifically the quick draw where you pay 25 gold bars and they give it back to you, and you get other stuff with it, is it a bad thing if I like it?

Who need context? Salty comments are entertaining regardless of context or lack thereof. Edit: I love it when haters try to use the "you guys just keep regurgitating that same points" argument. Yeah, everyone hating the same part of something means a lot of people are unhappy about it, which means that part most likely sucks. You'd think that anyone with half a brain could wrap their half a brain around that, but apparently not.

I play rdo very often and I have tons of fun. Still though every video is straight facts and funny as shit.

Red Dead Online is a shallow husk of a gaming experience. The community isn't asking for the damn moon here. All that players want is to be able to do some of the same shit they've been able to do in single player since Day 1. This is not an unreasonable expectation.

This channel goes hard on the soft underbelly of KZread. I love every freakin minute!

The only thing I enjoy doing in red dead online is using the lasso to hogtie NPCs and murdering them in fun ways, but eventually I get bored of drowning them in rivers and burning them on fires and the game becomes boring fast, it really is a shame because I love the story mode and it’s my second favorite game just behind Ghost of Tsushima.

I have only been playing for 2 months and the missions are already repetitive.

I played the intro sequence to RDO before the Blood Money DLC dropped and I don't think I'm going back to RDO, as much as I love RDR2.

I have been playing for RDO for 2 years now with a level 400 account, I can tell you I was playing even when the game was dry and had everything unlocked. Groups started to separate over time due to lack of anything to do. I genuinely dont know why anyone would try to defend them at this point.

I did the hardest difficulty for the train where you can’t lock-on and they do a shit ton of damage and I got 200 dollars

As someone who's played since launch, this update is ass and all my friends who have also played since launch agree. The only people who're defending this update are either new players haven't played the game at all or are just Rockstar fanboys. I have given up all hope for Red Dead Online in this update and I will not be surprised if I stop playing entirely.

I agree with the guy, the payouts are historicaly accurate. The problem is that the prices are not. The prices are based on modern currency, just without inflation. 1000 dollars back then, would be about 33,000 dollars today.

Good video, it’s honestly sad to see what Rockstar has become.

There is no defending this beyond shite update!

Gta online is more entertaining than Rdo, even though both of them have scummy problems.

The amount of viral arguments I've gotten into about this somehow. R* has so many issues. Lack of communication, lack of caring for a game they chose turn into online. It's largely "take 2" investors hounding on them. But it's also rockstar not delivering updates that actually take months to create. They either need a larger team, or they need to care more. I see so many game developers who are living in boxes compared to R* but still manage to continuously push out decent updates periodically throughout the year. They have the money and the recourses, the higher ups arnt listening to the community. Red dead's gameplay is great, red dead's graphics are amazing, but this is literally "WASTE OF OPPORTUNITY" not the "land of opportunities"

I've done both

I haven’t played RDR Online since 2018. The single player was one of the best I’ve ever experienced, but the multiplayer is crap.

The game by its design is to consume as much time as possible and progress as slowly as possible to brow beat you into spending money on their ridiculously overpriced microtransactions. Everybody gives Rockstar a pass for their microtransactions that are beyond extortionate but will give Bethesda a ton of shit for doing the same with Fallout 76. Most missions across the board are not only very boring and repetitive, they demand you wait out the timer down to the last thirty seconds before turning it in to get the maximum payment. In any other game the better you do and the quicker you do it, the more you are rewarded. Yet in this game if you do well you walk away with a shitty payment. This design is geared to waste as much time as possible and give you as little as possible. What fun is there sitting near the end of a mission with my thumb up my ass for thirty minutes to get a decent pay? Justify it. Tell me how this is a good mechanic, change my mind.

Rockstar fanboys just can’t take criticism.. Let’s be real.

Fanboys have been blinded to the poiny where they don't understand the valid points of criticism.

I don’t understand why players cape for these companies so much. The more pressure you apply to these companies the quicker they’ll be to fix their half assed games.

They say we are whining about updates and behaving like brats. Then you look at these idiots and they're the majority that behaves in the most fanboyish ways possible and treats these excuses of online-type of games as masterpieces, while locking themselves down in a bubble of ignorance and *ANGER.*

Pretty sure the biggest part of this update was a fix to the freezing bug in the main in the story mode, because since this update dropped I haven't heard a single person the main camp comment on the way arthur's dressed saying he's gonna freeze to death

Ways to fix red dead online : Make it less grindy( give us at least 15 gold so we can pick a role) More open world gameplay such as robbing train, bandits trying to rob you. To wombat combat: you're doing good lad.

I love your videos and you always make me laugh so much and I love the channel and keep being yourself and your the best and your a amazing person too.

You are one of the only commentary channels I like. I dislike almost every other commentary channel but you. You are funny and put more effort into videos. You deserve way more subs. I tried playing online but I could just never get into it. It felt like such a grind and waste of time trying get even a single tiny item in the game, and it was boring as hell. I really wish when it came to online, rock star did not develop it.
