What you said that he’s nothing special which was the whole point of part one and it’s something he comes to terms with. Denji is the way he is because of his upbringings or lack there of. He’ll do anything for money to pay for nayuta college fund because he wants her to get an education because he was denied having one himself. Denji will get with anyone because he has no concept of a healthy relationship due to having no parents, also he’s a teenager he’s obviously gonna want to have sex. Denji didn’t develop properly that’s why when we see in his mind he’s a child and not teen teen denji because he’s still a child inside. His situation with asa was explained, asa always wanted to be able to connect with someone but couldn’t no one has ever shown kindness or affection to her besides denji hence her crush on denji, asa is too shy to tell Denji but yoru always acts on Asa’s feelings hence this chapter.

Denji didn’t get a handjob from a girl he liked, he got his dick grabbed without consent by yoru and proceeded to get sexually assaulted. In addition to that, Asa was also assaulted as she had no control over her body. When Denji ate Makima, he did it because it was the only way to kill her, as eating her was an act of love which bypassed Makima’s contract. He made a good point on her remembering that they kissed. Subtle for many but she's not supposed to be able to resist control which wiped her memories. Maybe the new control is weaker, but it says a lot when not even gun could resist control vs denji. So love may be the weakness to devils and we may be getting a lot more than people think for the ending. Though fugi will have to make everything more spoon fed. Yeah, I can agree with everything exept it not being SA by Yoru on Asa. She was not controlling her body. Literally. Just because Asa likes Denji and maybe wanted to do something like that with him, doesn't mean that she would have chose to do it in the same situation. Yoru acted using Asa's body instead. I think you can compare it to having sex while you are drunk. Yoru made Asa "drunk" and had masturbated together with her (as an example of a simular situation with agency problem). Just because they both maybe wanted to get this pleasure, doesn't make it ok for Yoru to disregard Asa's agency and use her body without her consent like that. And don't get me wrong, I am not saying that everyone who likes this chapter is horrible or that you are bad person for seing it differently from me. That's still a fictional story. But I think that we need to still acknowledge elements of it, that connect to our reality, and understand them.

The main thing we learn from this is that these people CLEARLY haven't read Fire Punch.

Actually great analysis, Chibi. I never once looked at the chapter and thought it was assault. The Denji-Asa-Yoru connection is something that had a whole arc dedicated to it. This is not the first time people have a hard time understanding Chainsaw Man or Fujimoto's writing in general, even when it comes to his other works. It's something I've accepted and moved on from. Best thing to do now is just laugh at them, because trying to explain the plot and intent of the story clearly is not something their minds are capable of understanding, and I've seen way too many examples of that, even when it was about Part 1. Fujimoto is way too based for a lot of people LOL

Denji didn't hate it, but he (sort of) didn't enjoy it either, he was confused at the most part due to yoru's behavior who he thinks is still asa in control. Asa herself didn't enjoy this because now she thinks that Denji won't like her because of this showing that she genuinely loves him and wants to be with him normally. I agree with this video, but on where you said that Denji & Asa wasn't assaulted. You see, if he knew that Asa & Yoru were two different people, then he wouldn't be a victim. But, he was unaware of the presence of a third party that he unknowingly partakes in this action with. Asa might be attracted to Denji, but she did not choose this to happen.

I am just shocked that his first series Fire Punch hasn't turned into an anime already.

Fire Punch is good though . I think I'd rather just have the Manga instead of a Anime adaptation. What if they butcher the series? I'm getting Beserk 2016 flashbacks. I'm still disappointed we never got a good Anime adaptation of Beserk. The Manga of Beserk is great.

I'd argue it IS an assault. On Asa, by Yoru. Yoru took control and acted on Asa's feelings, but without her consent and basically abandoned her at the end with the consequences of this action. Asa's innocence was forcefully taken away from her, using the person she loves as a tool to do so.

My lord, yesterday was a wild day on Twitter, Chibi. I told myself don't look into your Chainsaw Man quote tweets because i knew they would come for you over your "wine-drinking" scene. But at the end, my curiosity won, lol. And i had to see lots of negative tweets about you, Chibi. To be fair, while i did understand some of the criticism, several of those tweets were nasty. Yikes, like, if they hate ya that much, they can just block you and move on with their day instead of giving you more attention. But hey, at least, it made me chuckle to see you and Nicholas Light TV having a blast with this topic, lmao.

I've been watching reviews of 167 and a lot of them, including Sufferents, thought this Denji was getting assaulted by Yoru. Like, it's teens, or a teen and a devil feeling teen emotions, getting lost in an intimate moment. Kinda one of those, unspoken consent moments like you see in some shows where 2 characters just go at it, sometimes after a highly emotional scene. The fact that these are manga characters aside, I'm slightly concerned that people online are kinda trigger happy with labeling things as assault.
