So around 6 months ago I made 140 designs in 14 days and posted them to RedBubble to see how much money could be made. Now this time, I wanted to try create 420 designs in 7 days and see if we could achieve some better results. The designs in this video were created using Canva, the free online editing platform.

Love the transparency! I try to be transparent on mine as well and I think it sets realistic expectations for people starting out with Print on Demand
I had 3 designs up before my first sticker sold and I made $0.28 profit. I agree with the other commenter, this whole story can DRASTICALLY change if you are uploading better designs with more thought and creativity put into them.
Awesome video Julian, I might have to try and do a similar challenge, 420 designs may be out of my reach though haha! That's good going! Thanks for sharing

Loving this transparency dude! Some solid progress. I've been using Redbubble for just over a year now with some success and have created a video tutorial on the methods I've been using. Thanks again for the content bro, looking forward to your next vid.
Love your office! So peaceful and neat.
Well produced video, enjoyed following along with your challenge
Great work and good design. I appreciate it!
I guess this proves what a lot of people don't talk about in digital/POD - quality not quantity. No shade on what you did; no one's going to be able to do that much content in that short a time span and not keep it very basic. But these videos often seem like an example of what not to do for me; churning out content to milk the machine won't work as well as having creative substance to contribute.

I opened a rb store 2 months ago and only put 9 designs up and didn't touch it because of time constraints. I had a look the other day and realised I had sold one of my designs on a poster and made a profit of $8.22 AUD. Cheering. No social media and none of my friends and family know about it. 50 per day is insane. As a OG Redbubble seller, I think that upload 10/20 designs a day is great. I'm in the 10 design per day tier and this is generating some good money. Stick with more sustainable strategy and your store is going to blow up!

New Subscriber here! I'm currently working on my RedBubble store and getting more designs up.. also just started on Zazzle! I think RB is a rough market. So many spam taggers, and so many copied designs☹️But I figure the more options I'm using, the better for selling, so I'll keep the RB. Also, I think some people don't understand 'passive income'. If you put the designs up, they can sit as long as the platform is up, and you may make sales years down the line!

Thank you so much I have opened mine three weeks back However focusing on women's clothing And bedding Any suggestions Haven't sold anything yet
You are maxed out at 60 uploads per day (regardless of how many shops you are running) and this is in the terms. The only things that Flag designs for review is words that are on an unpublished list of protected terms which are related their partner programs. It could be as simple as EMOJI which is one of their partners. This is like how we use Kleenex to describe facial tissue but it is actually a trademark name. It is a complete drag because they tell you the design is approved but then say they may alter that decision at any time.

It would be even harder for a normal person, because it is quite obvious that you are a very skilled designer.
POD can be a very profitable business. If you have money already saved to run ads or hire an influencer to promote your pod site. If you just try to do the SEO free traffic way good luck. You won’t be able to leave your day job anytime soon. Payouts suck with pod.
That's nuts. Less than sixty dollars after 6 months... How do you justify any of this? What about all the time you spent making the designs? Unless your hourly rate is something like $0.30, there's no way any of this was worth your time. Anyway, thanks at least for being honest. Redbubble seems like a huge scam now, at least anyone watching this video doesn't have to find out for themselves.

Totally agree with Adrian Mark, this is insane. I appreciate so much this video because it shows how much people get misinformed by the hype of "free webshop" Gurus.... is not free or easy at all you need to have good designs, a good niche, and promote and invest in advertisements if you want any result whatsoever. You are pretty much a slave of RedBubble making them bigger while you keep competing with millions of designs, is a lost fight unless you have amazing designs and a good social media following that helps you to spread the word...

Hey! Just saw your video and I am wandering what is the strategy for the title if you upload more products eith the same design once? Thank you! 🎉

Hi there, for the titles I usually create the first listing and optimise the keywords within the title, and them duplicate it for another variation but only change the first few words to suit the new design if that makes sense haha
red bubble sounds like a crazy waste of time for most folks. of the two other KZreadrs, I saw talk about red bubble. one had 10k designs listed, and the other 30k designs. you have to do an insane amount of work.
Can I imitate some of the designs on your video and make slight variations ?

Hi Julian, I am wondering on what would the results be with 30 designs a day if you also post them on social media like instagram and pinterest with links to the products. I would really love to see a video about how you would use social media (for free) as a marketing tool for your store.

I just joined Redbubble and was suspended after I uploaded the 5th work. It didn't infringe anyone's copyright. I don't know the reason for the suspension.
Thw reason it worked was quantity over quality. It takes time to make something valuable.
how's it going? (the store) :P
I am so disappointed! I tried to open a red bubble store and it won’t open and says restricted account. Any clue as to why that would be? I have rights to all designs and they are silly quotes, etc I tried to upload.

How many designs have you uploaded? You need to upload at least 5.
I opened a Redbubble account and after loading three designs my account was closed. I asked them why, but they said that it didn't comply with their rules. I've heard stories of people who have their stores closed after being with them for a long time. So I guess I should feel lucky that my store was closed earlier. Redbubble is not a reliable platform.

the profit seems horrible. how much commission does red bubble take on each sale? can you set your own price or do they limit that too?
@thestitchingspace
Жыл бұрын
You can adjust your profit margins for each product, yes, but if you go too far outside it I think it would impact sales. While the profit margin is horrible, as you said, it's basically a leave and forget passive income. I've had my Redbubble store for about 3 years, and ignored it for 2 years until recently, and was still making between $20 and $190 per month, mostly closer to $20, but I did nothing for that income, so I'll take it!
Hey Julian, Redbubble has design upload limit of 50 designs per day, so how did you manage to upload 450 designs in 7 days? And how did you also managed to escape their spam filter?
@Julian_Adams
Жыл бұрын
Not sure where the 450 came from or where you heard the limit being 50 designs per day. The maximum you can upload is 60 designs per day, hence the total number being 420 across 7 days.
When they say 60 designs, do they mean that each design can then go on every items sold by redbubble? I want to make sure.

That is not working for me. I have over 1000 unique designs in 1 store and 700+ in another. first store is old (over 10 years old) and I sell there between $150-300 a month, but newer store with 700+ better designs (all high def and beautiful unique art) only sells 1-2 item a month and store is not 2 years old, so I don't know how people make those types of sales, Im completely demotivated to post on Redbubble. I have one more smaller store with over 250 designs which is 5 y. old, but I don't wanna even mention it cause there I sell 3 items a year lol. So My experience in over 10 years doing it - it just not worth the time and effort.
