Yeah tried to get some balance, prioritize Pokémon that would be unique. But still couldn’t disregard popularity.

Some fun facts that I thought would be interesting: -Puff in 64 is a "joke" that why its very similar to Kirby and really bad; -Meow was planned for 64, but couldn't appear to time development -There is a codename for Plus in Minus in Japanese code for brawl -Lucario in smash has "aura" that increase his power more he's hurt, (idk if that is in the movies?) Sakurai choose incernoar over decydue in ultimate because he preferes a wrestling style over a zoner archer

Explain to me why puff is really bad in 64

I can totally imagine Lugia being the Ridley stand-in for TimeSpace Emissary, where you'd fight regular Lugia first in a lab, then you'd fight Shadow Lugia as you're escaping Citadark as it's about to erupt or something.

This was a very fun watch and I love how you created these rosters based on what Pokémon games were out at the time of each Smash game being released. I even love the parallels you did too like Scyther and Scizor being the Marth and Roy, Plusle & Minun being the Ice Climbers, etc. I could definitely see Blaziken being the Captain Falcon. For third parties I was kinda expecting Digimon Augmon and maybe Dragon Quest Slime lol? But Darkrai and Deoxys aren’t terrible choices either for the Pokémon Brawl TimeSpace Emissary where all regions are merged love that plot idea too. I’d genuinely love a Pokémon Smash Bros!

Ooh time space emmissary is a cool name. Yeah I don’t think this video would have been nearly as fun for me if I wasn’t trying to correlate it with the real smash bros games. Also pokémon smash bros would be such a sick spin off.

It be nice to get some more Pokémon spin offs in general

I haven’t watched the video yet, in the future after I finish my career in programming I will make a game like this. It’s not going to be easy but I already got the pokemon for the first characters that will be playable on first build assuming I’m able to start the project. I know pikachu is the mascot but that’s a little lame for my taste so I’d have to go with a starting roster of 6. Blastoise, Charizard, Hypno, Dodrio, Marowak and Machamp. I feel like with this I can establish a few different play styles and different styles of characters. Later on Nidoking and Gengar would definitely need to be added in a long side a few others but these six are definitely good to start with IMO. Edit: Thinking it through, instead of adding Gengar I’m going to go for Haunter because I genuinely like Haunter better it could lead to more creativity. Venusaur needs to be included since the other two starters are in. Alakazam could use some weird kinesis techniques which seems cool to me. Give me ideas I’ll write them down for the future.

That is sooo cool, I would love to play it one day. For some extra ideas I think Scyther or Kabutops would add a "sword/slashing" character. Also Ditto would be funny, I imagine all it could do is move around slowly, with it's only move being transform, changing it into one of the pokemon on the field or a random one from the roster. Though you could also turn it into a really cool fighter by having it transform into different pokemon for it's different attacks say it's up B makes it a pidgeot flying up.

I would play this.

@commaGarbage probroably eevee, my faviroute Pokémon. Especially if one of its smash moves let's it turn into a jolteon, flareon or vaporeon. That would be sick.

Should have included smeargle as a fighter imo.

Hey I have an Idea. Maybe you could bring custom moves into Ultimate but treat them like TMs in a sence where if you reach some sort of achievement, you unlock a TM disc and teach it to your pokemon. Just select the pokemon and then if they can, they learn the move. This can either slightly change the pokemons moveset or change it entirely.

There are also some pokemon that Personally I would have put instead Heracross Bisharp Kleavor The Hitmons Abomasnow Marshadow Nidoking. I also feel like you couldve put in a gen 9 rep to draw up hype for gen 9. Maybe Tinkaton.

Yeah definitely some good picks, as for a Gen 9 rep, I don’t think Gen 9 was even announced by the time sora came out, plus BDSP Legends Arceus were the next unreleased games so adding one of the Hisiuan Pokemon would be pretty cool

@@commaGarbage not just ability, 20 less attack. Due to being from the same generation, Zamasenta got both defenses lowered by 10. Also, Zacian is still doing good because it's typing is excellent and still has high stats. As for pokemon unite, it was the best release in the entire history of the game, some could argue it could be lower though. It even is getting nerfed in unite soon. Sorry for the rambling

Super Pokemon Scratch Pals

I think Munchlax and Bonsly would have been must-haves in Pokémon Brawl. They were added in late gen 3 media to promote (the upcoming at the time) gen 4 (i.e.: XD Gale of Darkness, Destiny Deoxys), so it'd be a crime to not add them both in Brawl.

@commaGarbage some ideas were very great, however I didn't like the whole "1 to 1" pitches ~ it feels too rudimentary with the restrictions in that the creative liberty of choice is almost gone. For example, "we need an ice climbers character" ~ "we need a zelda/shiek character" ~ "we need a Dr.Mario character" \ all that to me made me slightly rather unimpressed with the pitch. Though aside from that there was a lot of good here so great job, regardless of such the video was very impressive!
