I try stair riding on inline skates.

Спорт

I went out to get a clip for the back to blading community challenge which is the stair ride. I decided to document the learning process.

    I always went backwards of a stair back in the days... is way easier then forward I think.

    Always good to see you keeping the skating fresh and switching things up a bit. I gotta try some commentary like this. Pretty relaxing.

    Nice video! I’m into stairs at the mo. I noticed in your earlier rides your back foot starts to lag behind; this tends to happen to me also. The Heeley analogy might work though.

  • @TwoQs

    @TwoQs

    4 жыл бұрын

    Rich Hayter Hey thanks! I know what you mean. In the beginning I was concentrating on keeping my feet spread out but my back foot would start getting caught on the steps because I was losing momentum quickly. Adding speed + heely analogy was helpful. Just a matter of finding the right mix.

    Good work man! I Over the weekend I got myself back into dropping in, and playing with mini half pipes again (4 feet deep). Seeing your videos convinced me to push for it. I found my mind still knows what to do, but my body is playing catch up. Still freaked about grinds so I swapped in my anti rockers & I'm going to force myself on some flat rails this weekend. I did notice I'm not maintaining speed in pipes and bowl whether flat or antirocker. , Good wheels, super reds bearings, but after two passes I'm not really reaching the coping anymore. Don't know if it's lube or I'm flat out not pushing enough.

  • @TwoQs

    @TwoQs

    5 жыл бұрын

    Thanks man. Repetition will probably get your body caught up with what your brain knows it's capable of. Anti rockers will definitely help with the grinds but will probably overall affect your speed. It's all about pumping to maintain speed in vert. I have the same troubles though. I just get exhausted very quickly going back and forth. I think if we can correctly pump we just gotta work on our cardio.
