I remember downloading add-ons and everyone being shocked how I got mods in education edition. I taught people how to import minecraft skins, download custom maps and create servers, I remember playing bedwars on education edition lmao. But I'm happy I have Java edition now, I just have to wait for my friends to get java edition.

You're a bit wrong. Most of the Education Edition features do exist in Minecraft Bedrock. You can get the eggs of NPC and Agent or almost all of the exclusive to Education Edition blocks by commands. The chemistry update items become available in the creative menu if you toggle the Education Edition parameter in the world settings.
