I love that more we get this different side of the tour that we have never seen
Butturff throwing the backwards shots immediately in the gutter then asking "how do people do that?" is priceless
CONGRATS PACKY. I could be wrong but you my man are the only bowler who made the single eliminations in Cheetah, Scorpion, and Shark. SO................IT AIN'T OVER YET!!

Hey dude! Love your content and really appreciate you and what you're doing! I love watching this stuff bc I recently had to hang up my bowling career due to a preexisting back injury. Love the content man! Keep on keeping on! Bring back the skills challenges 2023!!! ✌️❤️😁 Edit: All you dudes are so incredibly talented and so much fun to watch.

@@TheHouseBowling hi
So I randomly found your videos a few weeks ago, and it really got me into bowling. So I just bought my first ball and shoes yesterday! And now my fiancé even got her own shoes, and wants to look into getting her, her own ball too! So thanks a lot man!
Hey! I was there for the pro am today! Looking foreword to see everyone again on Wednesday!
“What are you doing!!!” I talk to my hand too Packy. Bad hand, bad hand…
Packy, I think that you and Butturff are the only bowlers that cashed the doubles, plus every animal pattern, plus the World Championship -- freaking awesome! I hope you make the tv show on one (or more) of the animal patterns; tell all the brotherhood in The House congratulations too, it was awesome to see you guys do well!
These videos are far better than the TV coverage!
I don't know why but when I watch Chris via his approach and release looks so a typically low energy for a two hander it's crazy it just looks casual lol
Love Kevens trashtalk to you🤣

Packs…..74 male taking up bowling, combat disabled. Bowled a ton prior to graduating from high school. Carried 187 ave respectable for the times. I went a bowled three games, withe last my best 132. Have forgotten how to slide, dropping the ball higher, due to back injury. Please, what ball would you recommend to start with? Never had a wild curve ball, probably best described as a comfort curve I could control. Are there any programs with Bowling Mfg when it comes to disabilities, discount on equipment or some other help? Thank you for your video’s, they are inspiring…looking for a 170 ave in two weeks of practice…..then who knows…. Bob L

I'm afraid to read the comments first as I can't wait to find out... Here we go! Roar, Pacman and House!
I just checked the lineup and it appears to be an exciting show. I'm going with Mr. Prather beating Mr. Belmonte in the final match.

To be fair, Walter Ray Williams has also thrown what, 110 300 games in PBA competition and has like the 3rd highest PBA season average of all time? I think only Norm and Belmo have had higher season averages.

The bowlers these days benefit from balls being better and the industry actually studying its game more than it did back in the day. The bowlers these days are NOT *that* much better than the old timers were, let's be real.

@steven mckay Walter Ray has been quoted in the past as saying that Earl was the greatest of all time. I agree, he truly dominated the PBA with the number of wins each season combined with the times where he would lead a tournament, qualify for the top seed by a huge margin and have to come in cold and get by who ever was climbing the step ladder.

@@feddyvonwigglestein3481 I don’t think you can really compare players from different eras. The lane conditions and equipment are so much different that it’s almost a different game. Judging by the number of seniors I know who average between 200 and 220 (on the THS) I think the pro bowlers from the 50s & 60s would have put up similar numbers to the current pros on modern conditions with modern bowling balls.
Always like the Norm stories

Would you rather average 235 to 240 on all patterns or never leave a corner pin. 🤔
@tylerm7408
2 жыл бұрын
if i never left a corner pin, id average 235 or 240 with ease
I would argue that averaging 190 on tour 15 years ago is more impressive than 220 now. I stopped bowling 20 years ago using an old school grey rhino and averaged 175. Never bowled higher than a 230 in league or practice. Just picked bowling back up after 20 year layoff, and within my first 12 games back I've already bowled 2 240+ games with a new ball. The new ball tech has increased scores significantly compared to old school urethane balls from when I bowled regularly. Not taking away from what the younger guys are doing, because you still have to hit your marks, but the modern balls allow for far more aggressive bowling styles which have led to higher averages.
@obedientcharm2129

God damn I am jealous, coming back from 20 years and bowling that well. Completely agree with the statement though, technology has made the scores significantly higher than old school.

What you say is mostly true but I am assuming you are bowling on a THS house shot pattern. House shots are designed to give tons of miss room. Miss left? the ball rides the oil into the pocket. Miss right, the ball hooks automatically once it hits the break point and hits the pocket flush. Take into account that these pros we are watching are bowling on almost the opposite of house shots. Not only is there little miss room, the oil patterns are designed to punish any mistakes. Watch them bowl on the Cheetah pattern, for example. Every pro is standing over the left gutter cap and throwing the ball out to the first or second board, where the ball wheels back to the pocket if they do it perfectly. Miss right? Straight into the gutter. Miss left? There is no hold room and the ball dives into the nose for a Greek Church. The modern oil patterns, and the modern balls, have made the game both easier and harder. if you just picked up the ball and threw a couple of 240+ games, you must have great form to take advantage of the house shots. Enjoy it =)
Damn Jacob..I don't bowl and I can even get the ball down the lane reverse granny style

When you dont bowl happy you speed up your feet. I did not bowl happy this weekend and all I did was cuss. First rule. Breath and slow down.
a swing and a miss by a messenger is maybe the worst thing in bowling 😝
Here is my opinion of why Patrick Hanrahan "packy" has bowled pro since 2018 so 4 to 5 years now with NO title: he realizes too much on lane conditions. today is 9-12-22 NO TITLES PACKY!!!
CHOKE!!!!!!
After a few games the shot looks exactly the same on all of these patterns. The same 15 guys that can throw this shot (lofting the left gutter from the right, hard down the first arrow with urethane from the left) are successful. Its getting kind of hard to watch. There should be major differences and different types of bowlers showcasing their unique skills. PBA has become redundant.

Quit using purple hammer so much and you would probably win more dude cuz your a badass bowler but it seems like when you start going high or light you just keep using the ball switch it up bro
never much cared for leagues because it's all just house shots and i'll also never understand why the PBA requires a USBC average to be able to play a tour event scratch when you have to pay like $3-500 non member to enter.
