    The resivor on the top is for chain bar oil. Without oil the chain heats up and risks the bar seizing up. Cool video though

    Ok this is why I respect Tyler ( if your listening) He is very humble and not full of so much pride that he can't repeat a segment that was suggested in the comments. If he sees that people are saying no you should try it this way , he doesn't ignore them but instead he tries it again knowing that he might have messed up. That right there deserves respect and that is how it should be. Always stay humble.

    Chainsaw bar oil not only lubricates, but also cools. The bar and the chain will expand at different rates; chain probably isn't even expanding at all.

  • @americansmark
    @americansmark Жыл бұрын

    The bar heats up and expands, but the chain doesn't, so it gets tighter. That's why you should always loosen your chain when you store it. If you don't, it can warp the bar as the bar continues stretching for a few minutes after use.

    I don't know if you will see this or not Tyler, but if you do, the reason you chain got tighter at the start was from you bar moving up so hold the tip of your bar up when setting chain tension, if you don't when you cut it will push the bar up and the chain will go tight.

My comment is more to him saying if he could "get a high quality of this" at that point one should get a real chainsaw, battery one, or even a corded one. His "liking" the product is to save on buying/reducing cost of multiple tools. Like you said you would not use a battery for actual tree work, well you would not use this tool either.

    Whats happening is the tightening system on it is cheapish so even though its "tighten" down, the jerk of the chain will still move the bar so it will tighten on the push cut and loosen on the pull cut. Normally jerky or hard cutting will cause it and cutting something dry like a dried 4x4 can do that.

I already have a harbor freight warrior grinder I bought to grind ONE bolt last year. This would be perfect for my application and put a grinder to use that's otherwise collecting dust. Um harbor freight sells a corded chainsaw that is just less than $50 all day. Half decent, and has bar oil to lube the chain... YOU NEED TO DO A STRESS TEST!!! I CHALLENGE YOU TYLER AS ANOTHER FELLOW TYLER. ANGLE SAW VS CHAINSAW. CORDED POSSIBLY CORDLESS (if you wanna fully test the subject) 😂
