I'm brazilian and here Skala is one of the cheapest brands. We usually use it as a base cream for some mixture. Here we have others brands that are amazing and you could try them. Lola Cosmetics, Soul Power, Widi Care, Arvensis are some of them. Bye ❤

Let’s stop that BS. Black women are not superhero’s and that burden of “ALWAYS saving the day” should NOT be put on the population of Black women. How come it’s never “ A BLACK MAN WILL ALWAYS SAVE THE DAY”? Why must that burden of being a savior be put on a Black woman? The fact that so many people agreed with your statement is so alarming….

I’m not Brazilian, I’m African and I was born and raised in Europe but we’ve always had a lot of access to Brazilian culture and products. I used to use Skala when I was younger and they used to sell it at stores like the one you bought it in, or the African hair products stores. The formula was MUCH better and it was good on my hair, although I had it relaxed when I was younger. I’m not sure what happened but I started using other products, probably because Skala got more expensive and they started selling it on your regular supermarkets. They also changed the formula and it became significantly watery which I dislike, another reason to switch products. Nowadays most people who I see using Skala products are people with lose curl patterns and straight up just white European women - which doesn’t seem like it was the original target audience - or confused natural hair people falling for the hype. I personally wouldn’t recommend it to anyone except people with very loose curl patterns. It can work as a detangler I guess… not much else. Basically, somewhere along the lines, the product stopped being for “us” (people with tighter curl patterns).

Skala is made to be super cheap (about 1-2 dollar in Brazilian supermarket), vegan and for brazilian hair, since most of Brazilian people are mixed the targed was never african hair, but mixed race people, however it's true that it's not pretty eficient and most of this is because the took the silicon and parabenos from it, 'cause of the strong moviment of no-poo and low-poo that happed in Brazil, and the 'projeto rapunzel' that was a trend of girls who wanted their hair to grow super big, from the poorst to the richest. But if you wanna a brazilian product that is realy good for your hair, you most use " morte subita" from Lola, but it's not sheap as skala is but, steel much less than 20 bucks, if you have a brazilian friend as her to bring it for you (about 10-15 dollars, the most, if she asks you for more than that it's scamm!) lol

Finger coils take 5EVER, especially if you clip them down as you go, but I always like the look. They remind me of locs 😊
brazilian here! skala is mostly known by being cheap and yet curly friendly, that's why it's getting popular out there! besides being curly friendly, they work on every type of hair and the variation of products and it's functions are huuge! but I think they work better for those who are going thru hair transiction or have loose curls and want their curls more defined. also it's great for volume and frizz control. they can be great for conditioning but it's not my personal choice as a styling cream. you should try multy by salon line next!
that 1st barbershop looked like you walked in to the nigcel headquarters lmao i'm glad you got out. @Tepid Cupcake It’s funny because I’ve never suffered from heat damage in my life. “Creamy crack” is was scarred me for real. For me, when you go from having so many people touching your head throughout adolescence, etc.. and you finally get in tune with your own hair.. it hits different. I’m hella overprotective of my hair since I went back to natural going on 9 years now. I don’t like people just touching my fro without permission and I don’t just go to anyone for a trim 😂😂 Maybe it’s only me though.

@@TiffaniShontelle wash your hair well and only have a heat protectant in it as other products will burn off during the process. It's also nice to take the opportunity to get a nice trim if you need one. I never add heat to my hair either, but when I do, bet it's getting a trim.😂 Also use a mirror, keep moving for an equal dry, and be mindful how many times you go over a section. I burned my hair on low heat as a young natural thinking I could use the fancy dryer and brush and "just feel" when it was straight enough. Watch a few KZread tutorials. Lol that wasn't a thing when I tried to dry one section bone straight while the rest of my hair was still soaking wet. I bounced back, but you don't have to make those kinds of mistakes. I'm sure whatever you do will work out.

I just love me some Will❤. Lol u had me cracking up with ur descriptions per usual. Thank u for brightening my day!🌞. Im glad u got outta that burger-barber with ur hairline intact!!!😅
Hey Will, I'm not Brazilian and I agree that Skala isn't a high-quality product. But one of the ways they keep their cost down is by having the same base/foundation of ingredients and then adding extra things in it for each line. So for the Maracuja line, the extra things would be the maracuja oil and the Pataua oil. I suggest you try the Skala Crespo Divino (pink) deep conditioner/leave-in conditioner. I use their shampoo, conditioner, and mask/leave, and my 4c fine hair loves it. According to me and google translate, the pink one is for those transitioning whose hair needs help keeping both textures happy and healthy. I've been natural for 10 years and I've been using this line for maybe a month or so now and I'm never using anything else ever again. Skala also has a green bean extract line (the bottles are green) and I use their mask/leave in and my hair likes that too.
That barbershop story is hilarious 😂😂😂😂 I’m glad you left and found a much better one.
this is the first time i’m watching your video in years and let me just say i will be back. you’re madddddd funny LMAO
Your videos are insane!!!! Love it❤
I have 4a type hair and the one I recommend you is the "Divino Potão", the one with a light pink container. Your hair will love it!
I've been using skala for years, it's affordable and super easy to find here in Portugal. It works for me! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 But I only use it as a deep conditioner or pre poo sometimes! I loved watching you try this product, as usual!! Your hair looks so cute with the finger coils in the bun ❤❤
Eu comprei um skala hoje pra minha filha,e acredite temos uma coleção de Skala aqui... tô surpresa que. Skala tá atravessando fronteiras😀❤️
I got the Rev Air earlier this year and I love it. Pro tip: use it for one pass, then take your hair out and comb the section, then put it back in for like 15 secs. I find that it helps stretch the hair further.
I hate curl creams so bad! I knew this was a type 3 sort of thing when I saw it.
IDK why but shower Will looks like hi-key you look like one of the Black disciples back in the early bible days - that beard and flowing hair ya'll!!
I’m always entertained. I just adore you
Oh I’ve been WAITING for this one
I am Brazilian and I use Skala, the thing is, it's most used for pre-poo, 'cause it is about R$ 5-8 (somethig about $1-2 at most ), it's made to be vegan, eficient and SUPER cheap. When I saw that 20 bucks I was like Jeeeeeeeeeez!

you're so freaking good at this! 😂😂😂😂😂
Skala had SO MANY products is crazy how many versions they have and you have to test it to find the right one for your hair. They have one that I use a 4ever that goes by the name LAMA NEGRA(black mud) and define so good my curls and add a lot of shine bcs of the black color on the product. Try it if you find.
Just loveeeee how u read Portuguese!!! As a Brazilian I loved this video haha
Oo, it looks great at the end in that ponytail! I see you!
I used my revair today and my hair was SLAYED!! Stiff were? A tip I do if our curling cream and do a half on setting 2 and half on 1 and my hair looks like just stretched curls.
I follow this Brazilian young lady on Instagram and she has wavy, straight hair and always uses Skala. It makes her hair super curly, but she does the same technique you did. It looks exhausting. I liked your curls, they were adorable ❤

I literally went to that barbershop because they were hosting a comedy show and when I say I wanted to leave so bad 😂😂😂😂😂😂
You're a beautiful young man, love the hair and commentary funny as hell 😂😂😂
Chile! Can we get into how good you look. It’s the hair shining shining. The skin flourish. 🙌🏽
Also for those who have thicker texture hair, It’s one targeted for more of thicker Afro hair that is red They also have an avocado conditioner that is really great for defining
This cream doesn't promise curls definition, the "more curls" in the package is just a stylized way to say that this is a conditioner made meant to attend the conditioning needs of the curly hair, for example, you'll also find ones meant to straight hair, with stylized names like "extreme straight" "perfect straight", but unless they say on the package that there's some chemical in it that will give a straighting effect in your hair exactly, they're also just conditioning creams that anyone with any type of hair will be able to use without having their hair changed in anyway.
You made my day 😂😂I hope you enjoyed yourself in my city!!
