I use A daredevil spoon for both bass and pike. To use it just cast and slowly retreve.

I remember when I first started fishing and I didn’t know what I was doing. I would just fish with spoons and I caught my first bass on it. That was my proudest moment

I love spoons. They work fantastic on perch and pike and muskie at the right time of year. I absolutely love tossing spoons. Work reasonably well for trout too.

Spoons, in my experience, are great for pike and can often work well for brown trout as well

Amazing video! Glad you feel better, and that’s a great way to get back on the water! The spoons seem to work great! I have fish spoons in the past but never had success, I’ve only done the small ones for both bass and saltwater.

loved your video! my pb is four pounds caught on the wacky rig! Right now my favorite lure is probably a chatterbait.

Spoons like the daredevle are my favorite lures to use to catch pike, my grandpa lost a near 50 inch pike at the boat with one and of course it was the classic red and white.

I come from Minnesota, where spoons are the best lure to throw all summer long for Northern Pike. But spoons can also be a decent lure for bass too, and have caught me a 3 pounder.

I’m all healed!!!

I was sick last weekend still went fishing a couple times but I got a new baitcaster 2 days ago and it’s been raining since I just wanna use it😂😭

Man its so weird seeing a spoon tied on. I always use snap swivels for extra protection against pike, but you don’t have to worry about that too much lol What spoon is that big one? Also i ussually just straight reel with a twich here and there on a spoon Makes me wanna bass fish with a spoon lol

I was fishing a school of jack crevalle's in my kayak with a 2.5" spoon. Had a blast. Then I hooked something that dragged me in circles -- drug it to the beach and landed it. It was a 5' blacktip shark. Spoons work on everything, given the right situation :)

I tend to use spoons only early morning before sunrise, I use the acme tackle last masters and they work magic

Yeah man I catch mostly reds and sheepshead on spoons. I use weedless though and use a barrel swivel and mono leader

When it is white bass season over here in michigan I use a spoon and I catch a ton of white bass

I fish spoons all the time but usually for northern pike they work great at catching big fish.

I watch this guy on KZread named Damien thao, I watched him fish big spoons for largemouth bass around docks and it was quite amazing to see so spoons definitely work.

Fish with spoons for Northern Pike very often in Canada. They work amazing, every store up here WILL have spoons, all types of them, too. Very fun to use when the fish are angry.

@@FISHERYIN oh it’s a blast. Just a couple weeks ago I went off a random bridge and started aggressively jigging a spoon and pike after pike would just slash at it every few seconds it’s wild how crazy they can get. They’ll chase your lure right to the boat and everything!

In Canada we use spoons all the time for pike but I caught my pb small mouth on one

Try out a giant Johnson Silver Minnows with a white twister tail sometime. Caught lots of northern pike and a few musky and bass on it.

Honestly I throw my green eyed tiger spooon 24/7 when I go fishing just for a bit but sometimes it works and sometimes now😂I’ve got pike minnows on the spoons and mini storm fishes but I ussually use my spoon in creeks and sometimes the baby rainbow trouts chase it but they kinda smol

I always use spoons and catch big fish so yeah I love using them

Here in Denmark it is a common sight to see someone fishing a spoon for pike

I’ve never caught much bass on the spoon but they work really well for pike

Spoons are meant to resemble dying shad or other baitfish. Let it sink on semi slack line, pull up and reel two or three times and let it hit the bottom again and repeat. You can fish them in many different ways but that’s the best one usually for bass. You’ll catch a lot of catfish too and get a lure retriever and you’ll never lose one. You can fish the big one the same way.

If you ever get the chance, they’re absolute killers for pike!

As a pike fisherman, I use spoons every time. The way to work it is either like a jerk bait or just a straight retrieve
