My grandfather was very heavily into fishing after he came back from Iraq, and he taught me how to fish for bass, in a more professional sense that is. About 3 years ago or so, he started getting some major back pain, and since then, I have picked up the family tradition. I had always dreamed of being in some sort of tournament with him but that has never happened because of his back. Since his back problems have started, he has encouraged me to move forward, and to continue my dreams. I have since then been in two local tournaments, and I still share some good times with my grandfather.

Where do you attend college? My 10 year old sons really enjoys your you tube videos. He is a great fisherman and has learned a lot from you. I’m so thankful for your bold witness for Christ. You are spitting on lots of young people to pursue the Lord.

I got into fishing from my dad. One day he was fishing in a pond in our backyard and he went inside where I was and asked I if I wanted to learn I said yes and then I got into fishing

My uncle is the reason I got into fishing. He would take me out all the time when I was young, so that’s where it started for me. My father was never around when I was a kid, so my uncle was my father figure. He taught me so much, from fishing to being a good human. Unfortunately, right before Christmas he passed away from a rare form of dementia. I’ve been passing my knowledge onto my sons, and my nephews. Now that I’m in the position he was in, I know how he felt when he took me out as a kid.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing. This is my favorite verse, please use it.

Last night i was at campaigners with the young life community at my school and we talked about Nicodemus and how although he was an amazing man who was wise and humble he lived his faith in the dark and that was what he was remembered as. Why am i saying this, well it’s because ryan lives his faith in the light and spreads it to others on this platform. I have mad respect for you ryan because I used to make youtube videos and would get made fun of for it. I understand that posting videos alone is a scary thing to do but to put your faith out there as well!! Now thats amazing. If thats not living your faith in the light then I don’t know what is.
