I think that parrying in souls is way harder than god of war. Every enemy have different timings for each of their attacks. Some are so fast you have to press parry as soon as the attack begins. Others are so slow you even have time to press parry again after the first one fails.

Nah, press parry button once the attacks is “released”. Not during the “wind up”....and use a small shield. Most frames for parry window - sincerely, someone that can parry freakin anything.

Rolling I framed is better than blocking 100%. But a lot of bosses can be parried like pontiff, champ and idex gundyr, Gwyn, tons of Bloodborne bosses etc... I like to speedrun bloodborne and ds3 and parrying gets the job done faster in some cases

The pile of corpses when Kratos is pulled out of the light legitimately proves Atraeus is a lot stronger than he ever shows to Kratos.

If it was one at a time it’s still impressive, if it was in groups like the game had been doing up until that point then even better

Plus he didn’t even know he was a god at that point so he wasn’t using any magical abilities yet because since he believed he was just mortal it made him weaker AKA the sickness. If anything it makes it more impressive that he still held his ground against a literal swarm

First fights in this game are always surprisingly difficult. Everytime I come back to the game I lose like 5 times on the first fight figuring out how to do attacks, dodge and block properly

Ironically enough, the higher difficulties actually make the challenge easier than using weapons, the stun modifier doesn’t actually change, so you can just stun and execute most enemies
