Turtwig is the goat though😂 in all seriousness, I’ve always been partial to the grass starters except for chikorita. I don’t think turtwig is as bad everyone thinks he is but I know he is far from the best. I chose him in my first playthrough of diamond and so I used him (it’s also really nice that I’ll be able to catch the other two after I get the national dex)

Torterra is honestly a really good mon. It hits hard, is tanky and has access to earthquake as soon as it evolves. The only drawbacks are that any ice move is likely to end it’s life, and it’s speed isn’t exactly great.

@@imab0t274 That's why you probably shouldn't use it against ice types! Speed also isn't a huge thing to worry about for bulky pokemon as most tanky pokemon trade speed for the bulk, it can take a hit so you don't have to worry about outspeeding basically.

The first 2 deaths were friendship evolutions lol

finally a game where the elite 4 is actually a challenge. good move sets, held items, natures and im pretty sure they have perfect IV's and maybe EV's too

@@levievil9220 this isn’t 2007 where you can’t find info on google very easily. All you have to do is look up dragon resists, dragon weaknesses, or even better: a KZread video. Wow, so hard dude. I swear people these days just want everything given to them. I beat this elite 4 deathless with hardcore nuzlocke rules, it’s not that hard, it’s just harder than usual

My fav nuzlocker he shows the pokemon’s abilities and nature with details, I haven’t been playing pokemon as much anymore so these r really helpful to me Subbed

That was rough, I'm about halfway through my run and the new move sets for Boss battles definitely make the game harder/unpredictable. Spoiler Alert Losing Gyarados before the elite 4 was a massive setback!

I don't think I've watched a single successful nuzlocke of this game, jeez it must be way harder than before. Which is NUTS since Cynthia was always seen as one of the hardest fights in Pokemon history.

Turtwig was my first ever starter when I played Platinum, so I have to pick Turtwig again.

Is it just me or is it really cool that this game has those, “*enter Pokémon name* landed a critical hit, wishing to be praised”, or the “*enter Pokémon name* hung on so you will not be sad” those little things make you more sucked into the game, let’s go eevee and pikachu had this to in a way.

Isn’t it forced upon you in the game though? If it was more optional I think it would be cooler in this game. And how come only your pokemon get this and not the elite 4? They have been with their Pokemon way longer than you have.

@@magmaspacer1967 it is forced but and I do agree with the fact that you should be able to turn them off, and the elite four will get them too... that would just make the elite four more powerful then they already are. And as MandJTV said, "I think it's really poetic that my affection to my Pokémon gives me power over the guy that doesn't." by the guy, he means cyrus.

Piplup is amazing, it evolves into a water-steel type, has great coverage, gets flying type moves and can learn tons of moves from tm’s so now I have a Empoleon, that knows drill peck, steel wing, bubble beam, and rock tomb, overall piplup is amazing

I defeated the whole elite 4 + cynthia with just a lvl 62 gyarados lol. This was however : with normal nuzlocke rules , so I was allowed to use x items and healing items ( no revives). A normal nuzlocke is wayyyy too easy , since I lost 0 pokemon. I am very interested in running a hardcore nuzlocke right now. I am afraid I will die at Cynthia too though lol. Well played sir💪

I am starting with turtwig here is my reason 1 I always start new games with the grass type 2 turtwig is my favorite starter Pokémon and yes I’m very fine and excited for these games

turtwig is adorable and eventually the secondary ground typing resists fire, neutralizing your rivals ace

I chose Turtwig cause they're pretty tanky and have decent damage. Also at their last evolution (Torterra) their typings are Grass/Ground, which is 4x super effective against Infernape who's Fire/Fighting. Also my older brother and sister play pokemon as well so we made a pack that we can only use 1 starter type only forever. Cause I'm the youngest I was left with grass types.

Not one of the best it’s THE best nuzlocke pokemon. Great attack more than decent bulk and dragon dance along with intimidate. Waterfall icefang earthquake and dragon dance. Anyone one who doesn’t have a electric type can’t defeat that thing
