It’s called “whitelist” because only numbers on the list can get through. There is also “blacklist” blocking which only blocks numbers on the list, that’s less useful since scammers always change numbers.

Yeah. You can see that this is such a red flag. I've talked to men like that when I was younger. But I see to this day women chatting and taking serious those "romantic" men. No matter how appealing it may look no healthy adult is gonna fall in love with you and open their heart to you simply because you're a total stranger. My bf got into relationship with a man that from the start was claiming they're gonna get married (before they started dating and stuff) and he already chose the band that will provide music on their wedding and chose their future son's name. This is such a huge red flag, huge red field but I guess some women so desperately want to be loved that fall for it. They want to be loved, they want to be special. But the truth is no matter how good you or him are it's impossible for a stranger or a person that know you very little to feel such strong feelings to you. It's like meeting a girl, having drinks together and saying she's your bff and you would literally die for her and her personality is so unique. You know nothing about her, you see some things but that's not enough. And true friendship is built by years and years together, through all the situations, not only few first weeks when you're super interested in each other. Same with romantic relationship.
