Any tips for my bandeja?🤔

Try preparing much higher, your low elbow is causing you a lot of problems, without that you won’t get enough spin and you have to rely on having a very low contact point. That’s one of the reasons you are jumping as well.

Prepare earlier, as soon as the ball comes out of your opponent racket (if you think he will do a lob, of course). Anyway, great content as always!

Remember the Bandeja is a defensive shot to regain the net position. The pace and amount of slice you are playing here is more of a vibora shot. It's very attacking.

Having slice will force the player back to the wall anyway even with speed. But as long as you force the player back and you regain your net position I think the objective of the shot is met no matter if it's fast or slow. But I get what you mean. Many recreation amateur level players I have met seem to use bandeja as an attack more than a tool to take net. At least how it feels since people play very hard in general.

Great video as always. I’d say your elbow needs to be higher in the preparation. That way, you’ll come from high to low when striking the ball and generate more slice. Play the bandeja softer too, with a slower arm movement; it’s a defensive shot. At the moment yours is a kind of bandeja-vibora hybrid with lots of aggression. As a coach here in Spain said to me: “Be nice to the ball!” Keep up the good work!

1) As soon as you anticipate an overhead, you need to get that racket up straight away. Even if you end up taking the glass, you are already in a good position. From what I can see you do a lot in the last moment. 2) you footwork is a bit off. You need to position yourself sideways onto the ball and move backwards sideways a bit like a crab. In the last moment you open up your left foot which allows you to bring your shot around. 3) your shot seems to be somewhere between a Vibora and a Bandeja. Remember Bandeja is not always aggressive, it is purely to keep the net, so playing it slower gives you time to recover. A Vibora which is played more faster is for shorter lobs where you have less time needed to get back. 4) where you contact the ball also depends on how deep you are from the net. Hitting it lower usually results in the ball also landing shorter allowing for an easy return. When you hit higher, the ball goes deeper into the opposition half. Only hit lower if it’s a Viborra with short lob closer to the net. Try also different angles such as aiming for the cage, corners, middle and even parallel to mix it up. 5) finally use your left hand in the shot to put an imaginary ball where you want to hit it. It’s a great trick to get everything else working. In the last moment you move that hand and your front foot as explained earlier. The pros also use this technique when playing outside to cover the sun or indoors to cover any bright lights. I had lessons in Spain and Argentina and these were the tips I always got and use in my game. I would also recommend checking out videos from The Padel School, Träna Padel and Patric Persson (sessions with Sergio and Vasquez) All the best and keep up the work. Your volley game is definitely on point.

Since you are above my level I guess this more a general tip for maybe more towards beginners. But maybe it can be worth a try anyway, idk.🙂 Anyway I got this tip myself from a trainer in a training session since I hit the ball too flat most of the time. And the more I tried to create spin the shot only became harder and more bouncier. So if you or anyone have a hard time getting/creating spin on ball you can change the grip to a slightly backhand grip. It helped me a lot with creating more spin without doing anything more so to speak. Basically by just hitting the ball you get spin but if you manage to add speed and spin yourself with this grip the effect becomes really good.

Just as some others mentioned, you’re not actually meant to hit a bandeja with this amount of spin and (specially) pace. Bandeja is a defensive overhead that ensures you mantaining position at the net. Try to use more of your chest motion than arms only.

hey mate! Bandeja is also my weakest point and i hate it! :) But i think you're lacking a little bit of rotation as well. You're correctly putting the weight in your right leg when you strike the ball, but as soon as you hit it, you should transfer the weight forward and your left leg should go slightly to the left so you can gain rotation more easily Keep up mate, cheers!

You need to prepare higher, keep a 90 90 angle and hit the ball coming from high to low. Don’t use your wrist that much. It seems you’re doing a cross between a bandeja and a vibora.

To gain more stability and power from you body you need to find a better "base" for your weight. Right now your legs are too straight leaving you without the perfect balance. Try watching: kzread.infoxNcLDMpMgPc, although it's in swedish there are some visualisations that I think can make you understand what I'm talking about.

I quite like you ball manipulations, you win alot of matches I assume. Your wrist and arm movement is alright but there's something about your waiting position. It's like a footballer waiting for a ball, it's very static. Try to look how the pros are on the field and copy this. Your elbow is too low and your shot too fast. There's room for improvement but you're on the good way!
