The railroad ‘spike’ might’ve heavy but that golf ball must’ve hugely awkward (A railroad ‘tie’ is an 8-10’ long square wooden log soaked in creosote that “ties” the two steel wheel rails together, 🤭).

I used to work at a truck stop in the middle of nowhere Wyoming. As the janitor it was my job to bring out the trash where a pretty large group of ravens and crows would gather. I eventually took notice that sometimes the ravens left dollar bills and coins when I kept the dumpster lid open for them. They mostly left plastic pieces and bolts that fell off vehicles but one day I was lucky enough to get tipped a $20 bill. I'll never forget those birds.

Love it! My childhood home is on a hill. As a child, I would sit on the edge of the hill, dangle my legs, and watch birds glide. There was one crow that loved to sit beside me and watch!

Crows can remember up to 300 Human or Crow faces, and they never forget.

I have friendly crows in my neighbourhood 😂 They noticed I was feeding strays cats and was saying "hello" to them, so the crows started saying "hello" to me 🤣 Now we have 3 crows screaming "HELLOOOO" everytime they see me or my husband's 😂 They come very close and are very beautiful, absolutely love them ❤

I say good morning to the crows around our neighborhood all the time and lately I have seen them come around our home more and more. They keep the hawks away, it’s awesome to see them in action! Will definitely try giving them treats

The gifts are so cute. Crows will protect the chickens from hawks so I love having them around

There is a lady and her daughter with a similar relationship. One day, the mother went to take scenic pictures miles away from her home. She dropped the lens cap on her camera and didn't realize. When she got home the cap was beside the birdbath. One of the crows followed her for miles to look after her. It even washed the cap off in the water first. Amazing.

Its rude to ask for tips, so either hang in there, or find a better paying job if you have qualifications... Or work two jobs! You'll have more money like that, but you'll be slaving yourself for it, which it sucks... If you don't like, I guess the only other thing to do is boycotting capitalism.

Not only will they give you a gift, but they will watch your property and alert you if any unwanted predators are on your property. My dad told me the value of being a friend to the crows a long time ago.🥰

We had a young cat in the neighborhood who would visit me in the garden every morning - if you patted your chest, he would run accross the yard & jump into your arms! He would leave me gifts ♡ 8 gardening gloves from other yards over 6 mo period, none matched !!! Was so cute! Then we realized he was looking for a home. He happily came inside when we invited him in to be part of our family. He lived for 18 more years!

They also use tools :) like sticks to pop bugs out of holes. They even ran experiments on crows to see if they could get a tiny bucket of food out of a pipe using a peice of wire and they could! They curved the wire into a hook and then lifted the food out of the hole! Theyre SO smart ^-^

I wonder if its to do with how one gives the food to start with. I think crows like to work for it a little, it seems. Im theorying on the spot-out-loud so to speak - If you give food straight to the crows (in an open pet bowl or plate or tray) or put it directly on the floor then maybe this doesnt build a 'dialogue' or bond between you. Its more of an understanding which may mean little/no respect or trust therefore no necessity to bring things as those actions of bringing things would be a response/dialogue of sorts and that can only be formed through some form of trust weather its momentairly instinctually or from having been built, I think. I guess you may be able to prove the theory either way, depending how do you feed the crows.

Try talking to them. Say a phrase before the food but they understand if you are really trying to communicate to them. They are very vocal and understand pitches. Like dogs who understand a firm Sit or high pitch Good boy!

I thing that was the same video where I learned that the bachelor groups of dolphins are known to intentionally "get high" by passing around a puffer fish , taking nibbles off him before passing to the next dolphin volleyball style.

Crows are quite intelligent. I've read they are like children around 3 years of age maybe under 7 and have the ability to make rule guided decisions. A few years back a crow would stalk my mom every morning because she fed the ducks on her walk with her dogs and the crow wanted in on that meal 😅

Usually, whenever you can get crows to give you gifts, if you keep them around the yard and show that you appreciate them, they're way more likely to get you more if you don't feed them often

Oh boy , do they notify one another. I tried to fill in my yard with grass seed and each successive day there were more and more birds. I had to give up and switch to sod.

Could be that the remains he's referring to are what the crows leave behind for him, human. Although it's quite funny, also misterious and dark to think it could be otherwise, although, I think, if it was, he probably wouldn't have posted it.

I love crows. Theyre awesome. A shiny piece of jewelry or barret...🤔🐦‍⬛

When you see em, put out the treats, then look at them, and pull out a 1, 5, & 20 dollar bill and show it to them. Both sides of the bills. Then put the bills in your shirt pocket and walk away. Give them the thumbs up too. So they learn that it means good & thank you. 👍

if they ever bring you money, I say you should give them a little more treat till they realize if they give you a certain circle aka penny or certain paper aka dollar you would give them more, and just sit back and relax while they bring you money

That's not how it works. They like shiny things so they think everyone likes shiny things. Kinda like a cat who loves you will bring you dead birds or mice....as gifts. The crows are grateful for being fed, so they bring shineys. Any shineys. And some nuts.

I used to keep a bowl of water outside everyday for summer... I got a fish head, a half laddu (it's a sweet) and half a biscuit.... Crows are funny and sweet

Talk to them, try to imitate their calls! When my grandson was a baby he would only nap in the car, so I spent a lot of time reading in parking lots. I’d bring seed along and listen for crows, imitate their calls and put out seed. Eventually they’d show up when they heard me call, and they still do!

If the bring you a dollar or change make the snack better when they do, they might just start bringing bills 😁

Look up crow vending machine. A dude built a machine that dispenses peanuts when crows drop coins into it. He did a Ted talk about how he taught them to do that. It was pretty awesome.
