In my head, I was saying didn't this area had a good land for Barley? put a farm in for that. LOL
Don't feel bad about the tavern, Biffa. Yesterday I was wondering why no one was picking the berries, I was hovering over the people near the hut, and they said they were looking for a place to plant. I was yelling, "What do you mean?! The berries are already grown! They're right there! I can see them!" As my villagers were starving to death, I finally realised that I'd accidentally placed a FORESTERS HUT, instead of the FORAGING HUT. I felt like a real boob.

Biffa, you need to always have free houses because families move in at the rate of 1 or 2 a month (based on satisfaction), which means if you have none free, you really slow down your progress.
I'm glad the carrot situation finally stabilized. But do you know what's better than an abundance of carrots? It's MORE carrots of course.
Biffa - remember "1 carrot" will feed an entire family for a month in game.

Wasn't going to say anything about the tavern... but yeah, definitely thinking it... ;) Also, are you actually producing _clothing_ at the tailor? Or are you producing only gambesons, i.e. a form of armor?

He is making armor. If he wants clothes he needs to set the tailor to clothes or cloaks.

@@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines if you're unfamiliar with a gambeson, it's basically a heavy padded jacket worn for protection on its own or under metal armor (if you had any). A modern equivalent would be something like motorcycle leathers...
Trading has been great! Still a lot of issues, but I'm just importing crops and making final goods at home because I don't think farming makes sense yet. New test patch makes trading REALLY exp tho but the income offsets that well enough. Space the hitching posts/stables across your settlement, think of them as rental bike stands.

If the changes in the beta build stick trading will become a bit of a luxury or short term thing - the costs are absolutely crippling to the economy. A middle ground would be good.
I missed the same thing you did! On trade routes you need to select "import or export" in the drop down on the left. Glad I don't have to put people in my stables
also, the amount of tiles and food shown in the top bar are the "Surplus" goods > if you click on the rounded arrow to the right of the Region name, you can toggle between "Surplus" and "Total" goods in stock! Also, I didnt see it in the video, but just like with the Blacksmith houses, in the Tailor shop, hit General tab and select which item to make + reagents needed to make (linin + dyes, etc)
They don't bring 1 carrot, they bring 1 person's worth of carrots, which would be a lot of carrots

Also your tailors aren’t making any clothes, they are making military supplies.
Everyone should mind their manors and push the like button.
I wish it would tell how many types of cobblers, Tailors, Vegetables, etc. that you all ready have. So when you mouse over the artisan list at a burgage it might say 1, 3 or how many so you know if you need more of that type.

I've noticed that with cobblers you always have too many, no matter how few you have. They absolutely crank out shoes and need to be forcibly stopped from depleting your entire leather stocks even after a couple of months - meanwhile no matter how many tailors you have they'll never catch up to the cobbler's output.

Even if you keep working on this save, I'd love to see more Manor Lords with the release version. Also I think the first patch is out now too. Regardless I enjoyed watching as always!
If you don't have a family assigned to a stable, it will take away one of your builders to guide the ox as needed. If you don't any have free builders, you'll get a warning if you need to haul anything "nobody available to guide the ox". But, if you have a family assigned to the stable, they will always be available to guide the ox. I have yet to see the benefit of a second family tho (by watching).
Manor Lords does a so much better job when it comes to build on hill or slope then CS1 or 2

100%. I've only rarely been unable to build on a slope, and that's usually with a smaller plot size at an angle.

I think around 0.5 morgen is the sweet spot size for the burgage plot veg gardens. It takes forever otherwise lol.
Those are rookie numbers. You need to get those numbers up. In my current game, one of my regions has 22,000 in regional wealth, and I have about 17k in personal treasury.

It is, just 'unfinished'. Don't play on the harder difficulty modes unless you want a real challenge - the balance is rather out of whack, so you need very specific build orders and quasi-exploits to keep up with the Baron.
Was the stone quarry the wrong thing to place down on the iron, should it have been a mine instead?

Though interestingly stone cutters would still work alright in that location - they don't need to be near the resource (its just less efficient).
A worker in the granary will transport 10 per trip instead of 1. The more workers in your granary the less the workers of the house/food production business will transport 1 at a time.

Granary worker only takes it from the house, the home owner/garden worker will always carry 1 carrot from the garden to the house 👍
This is so late so I don't know if you'd read it but you need to set export, import or full trade in trading post for it to work. The way you're doing will not work. 9:11 Edit: also the hitching post need one person so the people working construction or doing some work do not leave their post to transport stuff. Person in hitching post will do all the transportation leaving assigned people to do their own work.
I usually like to keep my comments to myself if I don't have something nice to say, but since you asked, yes I was yelling at the screen 😂

They're not carrying one vegetable, they're carrying one unit of vegetables. And one unit of vegetables feeds a family for a month.
I wonder what happens if you assign three families of your massive carrot farm to the church. It's close by and may reserve them tondo most farming on their backyard (assuming the church work isn't much)
I doubt 1 vegetable equals 1 carrot. Probably something like 1 kg of carrots or something like that.
Zweiau HAS to be loaded with bee farms. The name of the village sounds just like an interaction with them... Zzzz. Why?!? Oww!!!
Next challenge: No trading.
Won't be able to do this in the new beta build - trading was effectively destroyed. Hopefully this is just a test and not a sign of things to come. Still a good game, just need a lot of tweaking to get things 'just right'. Especially the mercenary system, which has become my Moby Dick of late (chasing the Mercenary Captain achievement - seriously, don't do it before there's a rework).

Bro stop the pre release version you have start a new game with the release version we all have and let us play along with you as you do and lets do this together learning from what you have done. I just feel like you need a specific video playlist for manor lords. Start it as a new start and lets go. I can not count how many times I have restarted as I learn and of course I love watching your videos on this but this is the time start an actual new city what you have learn using the released version lets go bro do it.
