You are a good dad to those babies. I totally agree with your choice. We have had the same thing happen with our babies. Our boy hurt his shoulder a couple years ago and it took about three months for him to fully heal.

You are so right - I am a pug mom and the body language of a pug is very clear . Sadly my Jake passed away last year . The vet bill was unreal - 1000 $ and it was an emergency room visit and they misdiagnosed him .Since he did not get better I brought/him to the my vet and it turned out that he had a tumor in his trachea . I am still heartbroken- I did not want him to suffer so:now is in doggie heaven .My little girl Hannah is 17 and still doing good .

I get you! Don't let people pressure you. I have pugs and one was limping a bit. Same story, just needed rest and see if it improves. But my mom insisted that I take him to the vet. He told me to have him rest and come back if he was the same or worse. He was totally fine 4 days later. You always know your dogs better and you love them, you are obviously not going to neglect a serious problem. People should not have opinions about other people's s well loved and cared for dogs!!! Cheers!

Karl, you really need to have those dogs harnessed and belted up when you're driving - especially if they're going to be in the front seat. You might be the most careful and safest driver on the planet, but all it takes is for someone else to cause you to have to hit the brakes suddenly, and whomever is in that passenger seat with no seatbelt, potentially goes through the windshield. I'm sure that's the last thing you'd want, so better to play it safe and have them buckled up.

Carl I always go on my own judgment. I know my dog better then anyone. Pug’s you can tell very fast when their Ill and need a vet. Don’t be pressured your pugs are well taken care of. Even children you don’t run to doctors every time they fall or get a virus. It’s called common sense switch obviously you have. I go on my gut with my dogs you can always tell if their run down or falling Ill. Your doing a brilliant job don’t listen to hate. Both your pug’s look in great health and shape. Hope Stanley is soon bouncing around again . My Stanley is eight and still acts like a puppy but saying that Charlie is now eleven and he is the same, he gets stiff in his back legs in winter but I started him on a omega 3 oil and it’s helped so much. It’s great to see him running around and not suffering. All pugs get injuries from time to time they zoom everywhere and always so excited. You guys take good care of yourselves.

I’m happy that Stanley is doing better and not in as much pain. My pug pulled a muscle also recently from playing to hard with friends and he was fine after a week or so. Lots of love to Stan and Pablo and everyone else.

The doggy daddy always know his furbaby the best. I always know when something is wrong. That said, I am a worrier. If I am not sure, I do take them to the vet. Glad that that it was only a pulled muscle!

It is easy for your fans (like me) to tell you to ignore the haters. But, I know that they just keep having. I hope that you will see improvement for Stanley very soon.

No one but no one knows our Pugs better than us when it comes to their behavior, you did exactly what I would have done, wait and see. You need to have bank roll these days to go to the vet anyway, but I can't argue with it if it's really necessary, but again you the owner would know when it's time. I think you used good judgement.

I've yet to find a good pet insurance plan here in VA. Too restrictive in coverage or none at all for a high premium. Many vets offer puppy care packages, but try Care Credit credit card. Years ago it was only for pet care, now it can be used for people medical care,etc. Interest free up to a year depending on the amount billed. It has been a lifesaver for me and the fur babies.

I trusted Dr Karl since day 1. Stanley is cute as a button and I know the trauma of the vet bill. Not to mention the hassle of driving there and Ruby feeling anxious. We now actually get the home vet. You may want to price them out because I was shocked- so worth it! While they do charge $20-30 for home visit, their charges for vaccines, checkups and meds are typically cheaper than in house. It may end up being like $5 difference and boy is it worth it! They also carry scales, tests and all meds on deck so they are appropriate for everything except obviously surgeries, X-rays etc

Tbf most of the comments were out of concern and not in anyway hateful Karl. Yes your his owner and you may feel you know best. However as a pet owner vet bills are part of being a responsible pet owner. Begrudging a trip to the vets because it puts you out of pocket, isn’t really the right attitude to have! At least now you can say Stanley is ok with certainty because a Vet has said so and it’s not based on parental intuition, which isn’t the best way to diagnose a medical problem. I also can’t help but feel you undermine yourself by saying peer pressure has made you spend money that you cannot afford. However may I remind you that you happily spent money on paint in your previous vlog… Was painting a wall necessary or more important than getting Stanley checked?! 🤔 I really think you need to get a reality check and stop begging for money online. Going part time in your current job and then expecting people to fund your lifestyle is incredibly irresponsible and selfish, when there are others in this world genuinely struggling.
