    Since November, My 84 year old mother has been taking NMN 600 mg/day and Fisetin 500 mg a day the first three days of the month only. She weighed approximately 90 pounds when we started. In November, she was using a cane to get around, holding onto furniture, her eyesight was failing, she had no appetite, and had gone from 125 to 90 pounds within the last couple years. She had a colonoscopy, chest, x-ray, abdominal ultrasound, and blood work, and everything was normal. Her diagnosis was basically frailty related to age.… Now it’s been almost 5 months and she’s feeling young again, she called the other day, and she said she feels like she’s 16. She’s one for exaggeration, but I definitely have noticed. She’s much more active, doesn’t require a cane anymore. Her eye prescription went way down, we brought her to the optometrist because she said her glasses were making her dizzy. Turns out she almost doesn’t need them anymore. She’s up to 95 pounds and has a real alert/awake and youthful sense about her.

    Also, she had to pass driving test with her 86th birthday coming up and she passed with flying colors. Also, they took her drivers license picture without glasses on and noted on her drivers license that she did not need glasses so she must’ve passed the vision test at the DMV.😂

There are so many good things out there for improving our health but there is always a cost. That can be frustrating. My problem is there are so many things I'd like to try it's really easy to go way over budget! My best suggestion would be to focus on whole foods first and consider intermittent fasting. Add to that regular exercise and you can make some amazing changes. (if you're not already doing these things that is). Thanks again!

    Been taking NMN for over a year now and I know I'm stronger like how I was 10 years ago. I'm 54 years young and I can tell I am stronger because my form exercise is going to the gym to lift weights. I got back my strength of dumbell pressing 80 pounds each for a total of 160 on the bench press. I only got back to the gym less than 6 months ago when the lockdown was lifted in my country. I squat 130 pounds, and deadlift 140. I wouldn't do that pre NMN because I was worried about my joints failing me. I can't say if my grey hair has lessened but one thing for sure is that it stopped my receding hairline and even grew back my hair. Fine lines on my face lessened as well. I can tell that NMN reversed my aging from my looks and my natural strength. I take 1.5 grams of NMN, TMG, and Resveratrol. I added quercetin and CoQ10. I'm also not taking any maintenance meds as compared to folks my age.

    I am about 5 weeks in. I started getting regular headaches around week 2.5 so I looked into it and found that adding TMG might help (it did amd luckily its really cheap lol) I finally found i had the energy to work out every day. I have almost never had consistent energy like this. One very notable change has to do with something we all do as adults... rated x... so to abbreviate... a soreness and sensitivity that used to follow after a single round, even as a maturing teen, is completely gone. I am 99% certain this is due to the NMN because it was NOT on my list of things to watch out for but it was notable in the first few days.. Lastly, my vision is more sharp as well. Im trying to get my mother to start taking it because she isn't doing so well and we have a family history of heart issues.

    Thank you for sharing that with us. It is quite interesting I have been researching a bit of this myself they were talking about met foreman or NNM NR. It was talking about increasing cancer so something to look at. The research has been done by Dr Sinclair which is probably someone to look up and get a bit more information. I’ve been doing intimate fasting they are suggesting that that also works quite well and the other thing is to look at the Quito diet plan a high-protein substitute. You definitely look bubbly and ready to go which obviously something you’re doing is doing the job. Hello Jason, I have been researching the same topic of the links to cancer. As I understood, small (incorrect) doses of NMN for a person (older) who may have some cancerous cells, may actually encourage the growth of the cells. Yikes! However, a higher dose (for older persons) would 'fight' the cancer cells. Therefore, the correct dose of NMN is critical. I am 63yrs old and considering a dose of 1.5g. But may be a should take more ??

    Hi Jared, I love to hear your story! I'm only 43 and have been taking only 100mg, but I noticed stark effects too. My mind is way sharper - I judge it by the ease at my work of an analyst. I am not weather-sensitive as I ALWAYS was, I don't have diarrhoea I ALWAYS had, I am stronger and more resilient. And I have different dreams than usual. Is it a placebo effect? Not in my case - I bought NMN many years ago, I don't quite remember why. I didn't have any expectations. NMN has an effect but studies show none? Clearly they are designed incorrectly, possibly on purpose. For example, why would anything I experienced have anything to do with "improved" cholesterol? Why then the "studies" focus on cholesterol, that is not impacted by NMN? Wish you all the best!

    Great video as always and glad it’s working so well for you. Quick question for you if that’s ok, I found a very low bread which as 0.3g of carbs per slice which seems amazing but the ingredients include wheat protein, Wheat wholemeal flour, barley malt and oat fibre. Are these ok? Strange as the carbs are so low at 0.3g net per slice but these ingredients seem non-keto. Most other keto breads are around 3-4g per bagel for example but all ingredients are keto friendly as almond, coconut based. Just strange that the one above is one tenth the carb amount but seems to have non keto ingredients in it, but probably low amounts

    None of those are good. All of them have lectins. The worst lectin is WGA, which comes from wheat bran. The outer coating of a grain is very high in lectins. You are better off eating white wheat bread....any grain as long as it has the outer coating removed. Whole grains are WORSE for you than white grain breads. You can get your fibre somewhere else....psyllium fibre is great. There are lots of soluble fibres that are great too (Inulin but it might make you gassy, and guar fibre is awesome, there are many others that don't have lectins). Sourdough bread is the best alternative to all of these grain breads because the fermentation process breaks down the gluten, which is also a lectin. Treat carbs as a treat, and pick the healthiest carbs of the ones available. Just be low-carb in general. One of the worst things I was eating that caused my Triglycerides and LDL cholesterol to spike high was when I was eating LOTS of those stupid "Bran Buds" cereal. Yes, high fibre, but super high lectins too.

    JT, appreciate the content here. I went ahead and purchased the DoNotAge capsules as a start. I am curious what the difference between the power form of NMN and the capsules. For powder, can I put it my coffee in the morning or is there a better time/method for taking it? For the capsules, what's the best time to take them and should it be with/without food? Thanks again, MAC

    Hey Zuez64. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I've been super busy. Very glad you're enjoying the content. The NMN in capsule form is just as good as the powder. They are the same pure NMN. The only difference is how you take them. The powder can be stirred into things but I would avoid stirring it into hot liquids. Hot temps are not good for NMN. It may be okay if you're taking it right away but I feel it's better to be on the safe side. The best recommendation is just to take it with water on an empty stomach in the morning. You want to align the time you take NMN with your natural circadian rhythm (sleep and wake cycle). Take NMN at the beginning of "waking" as it can cause you to have more energy and alertness which you don't want when you're trying to sleep. It's also recommended to take it on an empty stomach. For example, if you're taking capsules. Wake up in the morning. Get a nice glass of water and take your NMN capsules then wait about 30 minutes before eating. If taking the powder, then mix the powder into that glass of water and drink it down. I hope that helps and I hope you see the positive results you're looking for. Thanks again.

  • @JTJaredTaylor

    @JTJaredTaylor

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi Yolanda, great questions. It's a molecule that occurs naturally in many of the foods we eat like broccoli, cabbage, cucumber and avocado. Of course a supplement is more concentrated. It certainly isn't a stimulant and it's not considered a "performance" enhancing substance. It increases NAD+ levels in your body. NAD+ (commonly referred to as NAD) is found in every living cell. Without it you would die in a matter of seconds. It's important for many things like repairing DNA and proper mitochondrial function. When you get older NAD levels decline. So it's helpful to increase those levels in the body. When you do, you can experience more energy, strength and endurance as well as other benefits. It's not a given and some people report no improvements but many do. There are a lot of factors that go into that. In my experience it's not addictive in the least and I have found research that NAD therapy has actually been helpful in treating other addictions. I hope that helps.

    Hi Kylus, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for making that point. We all really want a "magic pill" or a button that we can push to give us instant results. I do believe results can happen quickly because your body renews every cell within about 100 days but to your point it takes years to see the gradual effect of aging. I think it's a bit unrealistic to expect dramatic and significant changes overnight. Thanks again for your comment.

    Thanks Graeme, NMN is generally considered safe. To answer your question my understanding is that people who have taken high doses (1.5 - 2 grams or more) have sometimes reported side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, flushing, stomach discomfort and indigestion. Though that is still pretty rare. People involved in studies taking up to 1.2grams reported no side effects at all. I've heard some people say they've had trouble sleeping in the first week or so, but that usually goes away. A typical dose is between 500mg to 1gram per day. I usually take 1gram and I can't say I've had any noticeable side effects. Hope that helps.

That and a lot of other aches and pains have almost vanished. My mood is much more serene. Things that would annoy the crap out of me still might annoy me but the intensity is much lower and is soon gone. Stress levels are the same way. And for those of you concerned about the FDA ban. Weekly, I would have to take a skin file to it and get rid of the extra dry skin. I'd have a small pile of skin powder to get rid of. Nothing helped it, and I just assumed I'd have it the rest of my life. Three weeks after starting the NMN, I just happened to notice one day the psoriasis was completely gone! For the first time in years, by elbow skin was back to like new! The skin thickness was no longer thick, like scar tissue. My normal thin skin was back, just like my good elbow. Nothing else I did could have healed my elbow. Wonderful! Also fewer joint pains and quicker recovery after golfing. I love it.

These all went after a month, however I do have a greater appetite at night which I find hard to fight off - end up snacking on things I know I don’t need before I go to bed. My results were similar to yours. Started taking NMN about 4-5 years ago and within 3-4 days was lifting 25% more in the gym. Co-incidence? Worked myself up from zero to deadlifting nearly 400 pounds and doing 8 minute hand stands at 64 yrs old. Had a torn meniscus in my knee from 1986 and after three months on NMN, that pain vanished and never returned. Was bitten by a brown recluse spider and his venom clotted blood in that leg above and below the bite. Blood thinners did nothing for 2 years. Lower leg was still swollen from fluid retention. Two months ago I received a kilo of Resveratrol from my supplier in China and take a couple of grams morning and again at night. All swelling in leg now gone completely, colour has returned to normal. Still waiting to see if other symptoms go away.

    Hi Amanda, I take NMN from DoNotAge. I like it because it's more affordable than the other leading brands and 3rd party test results show a higher purity. That means it's tested by a lab that is not affiliated with the company to see if the product really contains what they say it contains. In this case NMN. Theirs has tested at the highest level of purity compared to others I've seen. I haven't taken a close look at the NOW brad NMN but that's one thing you want to look for. Is it 3rd party tested? If so, is it testing in the high 90th percentile? Meaning that it's at least 98% purity or better. If it is then it's a good option. I hope that helps.

    Jared : you left out an Important thing - what is your daily dosage of NMN ? Did you know David Sinclair PhD and Rhonda Patrick PhD in her interview discuss that a typical 160 pound male needs about 1,500mg of NR/NMN to titre to threshold - ‘otherwise the liver’s natural clearing will just sweep lower doses of NMN out of your body ? Dosing level is critical - also you need to do a Horvath methylation clock check to see if your NMN protocol has slowed your aging clock finally ORAL COLLAGEN use has been debunked as useless ineffective and a waste of money - you just inject it and piss it out - topical collagen as well You need to do microneedle with RF radio frequency to create new collagen - use PRP platelet replacement at the end of the procedure , along with SELPHYL , which together create NEW collagen formation in the skins epithelial tissue and form a bridge or lattice upon which the new collagen hangs . Check it out dude . And make sure your daily NMN is about 2 grams BTW Sinclair has petitioned the FDA to categorize NMN as a drug - and that was approved you’re days of over the counter purchases of NMN are over soon

    Hi Steve, lot of good stuff here. Thanks for taking the time. I'm 145lbs and taking 1gram per day. I've also been taking 1gram of resveratrol and recently started taking TMG. I've seen way too much anecdotal evidence regarding taking collagen to believe it has no effect. I know it's a topic for debate and there's more to it than just taking a collagen supplement. Some doctors prescribe it and others say it has not effect. Yet I hear examples nearly every day of people who "take it" and see improvements. Myself included. I did do a blood test for measuring biological age before I started taking NMN. I'm going to check again in about 6 months to see if there has been any change. We'll see if the FDA completely halts the sale of NMN. I've seen it before with other supplements in the past go back and forth. It's a good thing there are other things you can do. I would recommend that you keep researching and watch videos that both support resveratrol as well as not support resveratrol supplementation. I would also recommend taking a look at some of the studies people mention. Then you can start to feel confident one way or the other. At some point you will have enough confidence to either try it for yourself or walk away. I took it every day for almost a year and decided to discontinue it for all the reasons mentioned in this video. I may change my mind at some point with new information but for now I'm putting it on pause. Hope that helps.

  • @JTJaredTaylor

    @JTJaredTaylor

    11 ай бұрын

    Hi, I'm not a doctor but I'll try to answer your question. The short answer is yes. The more complicated answer is that NAD is a large molecule that is too large to pass through the cell membrane so taking NAD as an oral supplement generally isn't very effective. NMN is a much smaller molecule that can pass through the cell membrane and the cells can then take that NMN to create NAD. It would be better to focus on what's considered an NAD precursor (building blocks for NAD) such as NMN or NR. I hope that helps.

I'm studying a new style as well with a lot of differences than my previous style in which I hold a 3rd Dan ranking. I started about a month ago and I've been on NMN for around 2 months. I've noticed a few things since going on NMN, my desire for coffee has gone way down, and my desire for electrolytes has gone way up. I've also noticed that my energy and endurance in the dojo has improved significantly and not only recovery time but rehab time as well. Early on I made a rookie mistake and pulled my hamstring. About a 5 on the 1-10 scale. I thought I'd be out for a month but I actually recovered to about 90%-95% in 8-10 days and was back to punching and kicking. I still use caution but I'm happy. Back in my 20's I would've been back in 2-3 days at 100% so at 61 I'll 10 days with a smile.

I appreciate hearing about your experience as one of the reasons I started taking NMN was in hopes that it would help with strength, endurance and recovery. I've seen that it has. One thing I'll say about electrolytes is that I've been low carb keto and that certainly increases the need for more electrolytes. I just didn't realize that I needed much more than I was getting. Increasing it helped a lot. Oh and healing a pulled hammy that quickly is amazing! Such great feedback. Thanks again for sharing.

    Hello my friend! Although I haven’t come across any scientific peer reviewed data in regards to the connection of NMN and electrolytes all I can say is this: “Electrolytes are minerals in your blood and other body fluids that carry an electric charge. They affect how your body functions in many ways, including: The amount of water in your body. The acidity of your blood (pH) Your muscle function. Furthermore, your cells use electrolytes to conduct electrical charges, which is how your muscles contract. Those same electrical charges also help with chemical reactions, especially when it comes to hydration and the balance of fluids inside and outside of cells.” With that said, NMN is a precursor to NAD+, or nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, which means that it becomes NAD+ through chemical transformation. In turn, NAD+ increases glutathione levels in the body via the liver. Glutathione is largely considered to be the most important antioxidant in the human body; it neutralizes free radicals and maintains cellular homeostasis. Reactive oxygen species or oxygen metabolites like superoxide dismutase and hydrogen peroxide, are generated in all cells and can damage lipids, DNA, and proteins. Glutathione is primarily concentrated in the liver and is crucial to the body's detoxification process. Glutathione synthesis occurs within the cells and is made up of the amino acids, glutamine, glycine, and N-Acetyl Cysteine, NAC. Now, the effects of Glutathione are many. Glutathione is essential for the immune system's proper functioning and is vital in building and repairing tissue. It acts as an important antioxidant, which helps protect your body from damage to cells caused by free radicals.

    Hi Era, Unfortunately I'm not familiar with Hello 100. Sorry I can't give you a personal opinion but I would recommend checking to see if it's 3rd party tested, manufactured in a GMP certified facility and has positive reviews. Hope that helps.

    I noticed the energy boost the very first day. After a week, I notice I'm not crashing after several hours of activity like before. And this with a small dosage. I'm also using Setria Glutathione, and additional Niacinamide, along with a lot of other nutrients. But I can confirm that NMN seemed to have the most dramatic and immediate effect of all the things I'm doing. Now, to add Taurine and Urolithin A.

    I have been taking NMN for a couple of weeks and find all these reports of improvements interesting. I'm not taking it for these effects, I mainly want to try to protect myself from the deseases of old age. However I have had a problem for about 6 years now where my toes feel crinkly, like they are made of cardboard and my big toes hurt. My doctor has found nothing wrong with me and X-rays show minor arthritis. However it of course continued to bother me as it got worse. Online checking of symptoms threw up Dibetes and Gout. But I do not have either I checked my blood sugar for ages and my Dr says he had checked for both. My online investigations lead to someone suggesting I took Vit B1 (Thymine - shortage of this can cause all sorts of problems that I did not have) so I took Vit B complex for several months with perhaps a marginal improvement. However within a week of taking MNM (600mg per day) the problem has completely disappeared.

    I had been taking NMN for some time now and it is difficult to know if it has had much of an impact on my health as I incorporate so many other supplements in my diet along with working out 5-6 times a week plus fast from time to time. Feeling great at 68.

    I would recommend a quality supplement that you consume (like a powder or capsules) rather than something topical (like a cream). Look for "hydrolyzed collagen peptides" from grass fed cows, wild caught fish or pasture raised chickens. One of those or a combination of all of those are good things to consider. Good brands include Vital Proteins, Ancient Nutrition, Wholesome Wellness, Marigold, Orgain and DoNotAge. On that note, if you go with DoNotAge you can use the coupon code "KETOWITHJT" when you check out and save a little money. Hope that helps.

    Yes you can. Keep in mind you may not see as much of a noticeable benefit as someone in their 50's or 60's as your NAD+ levels are likely much better than someone at that age. Hope that helps.
