I Took My 22ft Bay Boat In This Tiny Saltwater Creek For NONSTOP ACTION

Ойын-сауық

With the water temperatures being so low I decided to take my 22ft bay boat way back into some narrow creeks and bayous in search of Speckled trout, Redfish, and flounder. This time of the year these fish will push as far back as they have to go in these systems to stay warm and find the bait even if it means they have to thrive in brackish water.

Absolutely, when I say “trout slick” I’m referring to the film on top of the water from oily fish such as Pogies that game fish (usually trout and redfish) are feeding on. They are aggressive fish and will continue to eat and regurgitate baits which causes a “slick” on top of the water which indicates that there are fish somewhere close feeding! It has a distinct smell, you’ll know when you see one. Thanks for watching!

@@CaptCollier Thanks for the tip. I've certainly seen slicks where I shouldn't. I hadn't put that together. I'm in Charleston, SC, we got plenty of oil bait. I'll be on the look out.

Awesome video. Do you take that boat out into the Gulf? Trying to decide between a bay boat and deep v center console.
