Utterly mind blowing to think that light travels so fast, it can do 7.5 laps around the earth PER SECOND, but yet even at that unfathomably fast speed it still takes the light 50 MILLION YEARS TO TRAVEL FROM THIS GALAXY TO OUR TELESCOPES!!!??? My goodness the distances are just too huge for our brains to understand!!?? Incredible!! Wes, Liverpool, UK.
Thank you for sharing this man. Most of us could never afford such a crazy telescope (at least I can't) and you're giving us the chance to see some of these beautiful things as well.

It shows Trevor's progression in not just his astrophotography skills, but also his sense of drama, which adds incredibly much to the total display of his accomplishments. No amateur astronomer can shrug off the emotional impact of such displays, regardless what telescope and mount we own and how far our own experience has taken us hitherto.

I wanted to buy these devices to increase my Eemaan. Seeing that these are Ayat (Signs). It's not the eyes that grow blind, but the hearts inside the chests that grow blind. Many people in their culture told me that atoms and gravity brought all of that into being by chance and random events. I told them, not even the primitive idolaters of the past believed that their inanimate idols created anything, are you implying that the particles inside such idols created this? Isn't that a far greater polytheism while you perceive not? And then they told me that they would eventually vanish into non-existence as such particles. And thus I figured that truth had nothing to do with it, but that the matter was about not having desires, remote homes etc spoiled before their despair kicks in. What was the purpose of seeing all of that, if it did not lead them to the right conclusion, that this world exists with absolute truth, justice and seriousness, and that the Creator of all of that is High above the shortcomings of indifference, injustice and vanishing into non-existence with the mosquitoes that you used to squash? And that none has the right to be praised and worshipped but the Unique Creator of all that you saw.

Hey Trevor! That was a brilliant end result on such a tiny little target! - The editing on this one was nuts, it must have taken as long, if not more time, than the capture itself! Love your videos man.

@@philindeblanc Hey!, I'm sorry I wasn't more clear in my comment, I was referring to his video editing! But yes, the end results we astrophotographers share with people are almost invariably "processed" - the nature of it is such that if you didn't process the image and bring out the inherent data from the photo that there's almost nothing to see, think like undeveloped film photos :) Regarding visual astronomy, what you see is dependant on how dark your skies are, and how large (aperture) your telescope is if you mean deep-sky targets, it's great fun but don't expect to see perfect clear galaxies etc, they are mostly faint and fuzzy to our puny eyes! 😅 I hope that helps you 👍

I am mostly new to this stuff and am wondering what mount you are using for the Celestron? I just have the 8SE right now and probably don’t need a mount at that level but the stock mount is shaky and sort of sucks in my opinion! Is there a mount you would recommend for my telescope? Thank you!

Fantastic video! If you ever have corrector plate dew issues, I moved my dew strap back onto the aluminum part of the OTA and it hasn’t fogged up on me since. I had to get a better dovetail from ADM as well though
Watching this video I felt as if I had been taking that amazing picture myself. I got very excited. Thanks for the video. People who love astronomy appreciate all this very much.. Saludos desde la mitad del mundo!
@astrobackyard Something that may help with pixel scaling is binning. Try binning 2x2 and youre pixel size will double so your sampling will be better and faster. You'll get 3x more signal and if you drizzle in processing you won't lose any res either!
