Freya looked so grown up in the wheelchair. 👩‍🦽🥲 She knew how it worked! I wonder if she has observed her friends at school? I always love watching her brain at work. 🥰 🧠🤯 I see her future as very mobile. And when she gets her speech board, watch out!! 🤪 😂 She will have things to say and places to go!!! 🗣️ 👩‍💻 😁 💖 💭 I would suggest a pressure sensitive cushion for her tushy & good back support. As an electric scooter user, it comes deficient in both areas. Had to be modified. 🛵

Wow, she learns fast. I'm impressed with how fast she was moving the chair. Back pain is never good. The older you get, the harder it is to do things, trust me. Can I suggest adding a folding canopy/umbrella to provide protection from rain/sun and if possible a removable guard for on top of the wheels so Freya doesn't get her fingers/hands caught while you are pushing the chair? I do believe this chair will see leaps and bounds in Freya's independence and I'm so excited for you all.

Cool to see Freya trying out a wheelchair. Glad to see Jesse there to help out too! I would recommend a harness for her to use on the wheelchair that straps around her torso & hips & can be made bigger to help keep her in it safely in i as she grows.

I wondered about that too but the lap belt iep her very secure. The problem with the shoulder straps is it limits her movement a little bit and Freya hates any type of restraint

Eventually you’ll probably have to look into getting a van with a lift so you can just wheel her onto it, it lifts her up and then there’s a locking mechanism to hold the chair safely. Friends of mine couldn’t do without theirs as kids grow up and they get heavy so it will be too hard to lift her by yourself , tiny though she will probably will be . Hoping the insurance company approves it quickly🤞🥰🙋🏼‍♀️

Happy to see your little angel is doing so well. A suggestion for zits. When you feel them forming put a mixture of raw honey and cinnamon on it and cover it with a bandaid over night. It won't finish forming. At that works for me.

Freya! Girl you rocked it... Go you! I don't know if they can do it without the wheels being to high, but if they could drop the seat low enough that Freya could push off with her feet she may get around better. But you would have to be really aware of her feet and how close they are to the ground anytime she's being pushed. Having a foot rest that low may cause issues with the wheels.

We talked about that. The problem is that there would only be a couple inches of clearance below the wheelchair so that would severely limit where she could go in it.

Hi Marcy Freya looked amazing in the chair. I was so happy to see that she will be getting a rigid frame chair frame. The mods that you are making with the fhair like you said are very minor. I’m a spinal cord injury and I’ve been having a lot of trouble with cushions. I found out last week that I’m going to have to have a seat and back that is molded to my body. I just started my own channel and I will be vlogging that process. I was not at all surprised to see freya starting to figure out how to push the chair. It will not take her long at all to figure it all out. I loved this video great job.

The brake on my daughter's wheelchair is on the back, so you just press it down to lock or flip it up to release with your foot. It makes it easier than the hand brakes. It also has a cushioned foot "box" rather than individual foot rests, which would be great for Freya since she doesn't like to wear shoes! I saw that the chair she was trying didn't have them on, but you might like the padded "box" anyway. Hope this helps! I wish I could send you a photo, but I imagine that if these are things you are interested in, you can describe them to your wheelchair guy, he'll know what you're talking about! Have you tried a chiropractor for your back? Women do go out of alignment because of carrying and lifting children. The wheel chair will make everyone’s life easy and fun. it didn’t take Freya long to figure out how it goes! Good for you, Freya🌺🌻🌺
