for this who don't know: this is a vagrant, one of the rarest things in dark souls 1. they spawn when someone drops an item then dies twice, they had the the item that has been dropped inside of them all the time and go from a player world to another, if you killed it, it drops the item inside of it, and they can level up and the higher the level the stronger it becomes and the better the item inside of it gets, and you must kill it before it escapes or kills you, if you didn't it will go for another player and get even stronger, and they are either red or white. if you found it then you must be quit lucky.

Even if the item dropper doesn't die, all they need to do is activate a loading screen and then the item bags can become vagrants.

The vagrants you're mentioning aren't the type that's in this video. The vagrant on the video is an evil vagrant (the type that attacks you and drops humanity). When a player dies and loses a bloodstain with 5 or more humanity in it, a white evil vagrant will be sent to another player's world. The amount of souls on the bloodstain doesn't matter, only that you have at least 5 humanity in it, and the vagrant only spawns if you *lose* the bloodstain. So if you die with 5 humanity and then recover your bloodstain no vagrants will spawn. If you fail to kill the vagrant (by dying or simply not finding it) it will be sent to another random player's world, after the vragrant has been passed around 20 times it will become a black phantom (aka red) vagrant, and will drop a twin humanity instead of a normal humanity. Vagrants also have set spawn locations, and will spawn in the location closest to the lost bloodstain.

is a vagrant, they are rare and comes from another players world. and give some really good items most of the time.

this is the "good vagrant" too.

my bad guys, i got way to many hollow armour and balder armour in my inventory

1000s of hours and only seen this a few times back when the game was popular

In my NG+ saves where souls aren't really an issue anymore I like to buy 99 transient curses and spread them around the map, Vagrants are such a cool encounter that I hope more new players get to experience!

Once i was nearly on the bottom of the blighttown and one of those shoot me dead from the upper places, i was confused so i ran thru the whole place looking for what the hell had just killed me. Only later i found out what it was on a youtube video.

I also spawned one while I was on my first playthrough in early game. I kept dying at Undead Parish and this mf spawned in the area with all the Balder knights.

Coolest little enemies to bad you can only encounter them online.

I remember i saw one on Izalith years ago, It was the first and last time i ever saw a Vagrant while playing if i remember correctly.
