Two of those experienced pilots apparently flew into an area of known convective activity without slowing down to the required maximum rough air penetration speed, nor telling the cabin crew to suspend their cabin service and take their seats as they should have, according to an expert 777 pilot who analyzed the telemetry and flight data..

The probe will show but I do not think that the incident is due only to turbullence. The severe loss of altitude can not be justified on weather.

@@V.II. They were at mach 8.4. That is normal cruising speed. They did not slow down to penetration speed for the upcoming weather. I know this for a fact...it is in the data.

Pilots have done an amazing job to save the plane and to save lives of people...an outstanding job!..well done!!

We must not conspiracy theorise though lately within short period of time : 1. SG registered container ship involved in a disaster in USA. 2. Fighter jet bought from USA in SG got into an issue or was it a crash luckily it did not crash into hdb flat estates. 3. Now this Boeing made in USA trouble to SIA leading to one dead and many injured and even more shocked or traumatized.

@@saramurphy345 That's the reason why you always wear your seat belt. Not all turbulence gives a warning. Clear air turbulence referred to as CAT cannot be picked up by radar or determined by the pilot.
