Ferrari blundered the pitstop and that ultimately lost him the championship, it wasn't Renault that lost him the title as much as he'd like to think that it was. Common sense just seems to be devoid. There could have been any reason for teams to pit, Ferrari messed up pure and simple.

You 2 are awesome. If I've said it once then it's worth repeating. Lewis is, at best, a 2x champion on merit. '14 &'15. Massa got screwed on '08, Jenson beat him in a car with a Merc engine zip tied and gaffer taped in the back. '10-'13 saw RBs 1st run, '16 Nico had enough and beat him in equal equipment and broke Lewis and the Merc PR team so '17-'20 he got a compliant team mate, Merc outspent everyone by a wide margin and now that there is a cost cap we see the results. I'm not hating on Lewis but if you go back and watch the races, Google the budgets you'll see for yourself. Merc has alot of money in Lewis from day 1 Nd fair play to him and them, it was not against the rules, but neither was it on merit.

Just look at Bottas. 10 wins and 60 podiums in a Merc. Now he's lucky to get out of Q2. His talent didn't fall off a cliff that hard.

I had to do the research to find out what went wrong. Now, he has been in a very top seat since day 1 as well so there's that but this podcast has changed my mind a bit. I'll give Lewis 3 championships cause, stuff happens but the big run was bought, not earned. Merc and the 17-20 run is a major reason there is a costcap now. Does anybody believe this Frentzen Sato story?, Eddie's regurgitated it several times but he didn't sack Frentzen mid season for Sato to jump in the car. No Alesi was in the car, if Eddies story is true why didn't he wait till the end of the season? There were rumours flying about at the time of a rift between Heinz and Eddie.

Lance Armstrong's 7 titles were taken of for cheating many years after he won. Why in F1 it looks strange to do justice. Many people were punished even banned for life but points were kept. Also with last lap saga of Max and Lewis and banned software that is installed but not used, secret tests etc. That is the ugliest part of this sport.

The team that cheated didn’t win the championship.

2021 was the biggest robbery and that was instigated by the FIA and the race director of all people. What chance do you have that being over turned.

Lance still won them titles, as they were all doping then, lance just did it better. You can't compare the tour de France in the last 90s to mid 00s to Massa almost championship.

Exactly, and their titles were not handed over to anybody else, which is exactly the right course of action and still Massa would not become world champion that way 🤭

Massa is making himself look pathetic! If you try and overturn every bad decision you'd never have a championship. Massa had the best cars but he wasn't the best driver, thats why he isn't world champion.

Must have been a different Rob, as this Rob is the nicest chap you could meet. Calling someone a bellend is pathetic really. Keep hiding behind the keyboard warrior.😂
