I tested Liqui Moly on Piston Carbon Removal: Liqui Moly Valve Clean Works on Piston Carbon Build up

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I tested liqui moly over a month for piston carbon removal and can say that Liqui Moly valve clean works for piston carbon build up cleaning. To clean carbon without disassembly, especially for piston carbon cleaning, one has to resort to the use of fuel system cleaners or fuel additives. Not all cleaners work for carbon buildup removal as advertised, but I've definitely found how to clean carbon buildup in the combustion chamber. If you are asking "does Liqui Moly work?" Liqui Moly valve clean really works, and I think I now have the perfect formula after I tested Liqui Moly for a month with every fill up.

What do you think? 🤔 Willing to go several fill ups in other to get clean pistons? I guess significant buildup will require multiple treatments. Every other other review I saw just talked about their experience but no one looked into the motor where the cleaning happens. And thank you for not giving up after one bottle. 👍🏻👍🏻 Would be nice to see pictures of the valves and spark plugs too. It would also be interesting to see what difference the premium gas of Aral or Shell with their additives are doing to the cylinders and how normal gas has an impact.

That is a surprisingly thorough testprocedure! Very nice, good pacing and very good method of procedure. The brown residue which is most likely from subpar fuel with excess sulfates etc. won't be burnt away with Liqui Moly. Only with high quality fuel you get a chance. That being said, this residue is neglectable and only carbon buildup is of real concern. Well done!

Hi, today is Aug 28/ 2023, @ 1:51AM.monday. I've been using Liquid Moli for over a year and a half. Gas and oil treatment. I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima 3.5 V6. It was emitting blue smoke ( burning oil) on start up. Well a friend suggested that I use this treatment to see if it helped. Well, good news! It did and it continues to do so!! No more smoke, the tops of the cylinders are very clean. And the exhaust pipes don't have that black soot. They look new. The cars runs great. I changed out the electronic coils, plugs and installed a new plenum gasket...was leaking a little blow by. Engine is very tight! The stuff is great! By the way? Great video! Liqui- Moli is a great product! All

No it won't. Think of a blown head gasket. The cylinder that injest the coolant is perfectly clean. Piston and valves. The water turns to vapor and the washer fluid helps it turn to vapor faster. It does not take much. Inject it behind throttle body. Use a vacuum switch so it come on under load or when acceleration. Most buildup occurs from PVC positive crankcase ventilation.

Great video. Thank you for putting the time and mileage into the project. Liqui Moly is in my opinion the best overall to always use as quality of fuel slowly gets worse. You might want to swap your plugs, valve clean can leave a strange byproduct on them. Fresh plugs will always help everything work the way it should during cleaning.

You know you can also clean plugs? My dad used to do it on his cars when I was a child (loved 'helping' him work on the car at weekends). He had a soft wire bristle brush just for the job, would whip out the plugs, clean off the junk (leaded fuel back then and clearly not as squeaky clean as people like to think) and then check the gap (and reset as needed) with a feeler gauge. Really simple job anyone can do. Seems wasteful to bin plugs just because they look dirty. They last a long time really (my grandad was involved in the manufacture of NGK plugs).

That’s great preventative maintenance before problems might occur, there are fuels that have a lot of extra cleaning additives in them but most people don’t access to them. PEA based cleaners are definitely good cleaners if you can get it. Using an oil flush additive before an oil change is another good preventive maintenance measure for old cars/cars with high mileage.

I use it and it works. But you gotta combine it with a good hard drive. I use it with half a tank and go push the car for 20-30 minutes HARD. Makes all the carbon go away. Also cleans the injectors good. When I say push it hard I mean it, no highway, go to some mountain and go uphill, get some heat into the engine and get 7-8mpg out of it.

The big problem with direct injection engines is the accumulation of carbon in the intake valves. In this video the cylinders are cleaner because the gasoline and the product is injected directly into the cylinder and does not pass through the valves. If the valves were shown, they still had carbon deposits. Only solution is a dual injection system like Toyota's

I would have used Yamaha's Yamalube Ring Free Plus Fuel additive in the fuel at a shock treatment dosage. This is widely used in the outboard 2 stroke marine industry to remove carbon from valves, combustions chambers, and largely preventing piston rings from sticking. I use this on my outboard engines at every fill-up and it keeps the engine and spark plugs incredibly clean and is safe for both 2 and 4 stroke engines. Ring free treats 10 gallons per ounce, and the "shock treatment" is 5 gallons per ounce is what some people use when they initially buy a used boat that's never been treated with the additive for aggressive cleaning of carbon. See the below video link of this guy using it in an attempt to help his oil consumption. This product is a highly concentrated cleaner, and I would simply mix this with a gallon of gas, pour it into the fuel tank and then fill the gas tank at the station to get the syrup like consistency of the cleaner properly mixed into the fuel. This is not designed to be added to your oil....fuel only. kzread.info/dash/bejne/X2d9x86uZsewp9I.html
